Chapitre 10: Ch.10 Smoak coming out of my head
Felicity Smoak, portrayed by Emily Bett Rickards, featured in the television series Arrow and its extended universe of shows, collectively known as the Arrowverse. An I.T. genius and graduate from MIT, Felicity works alongside vigilante Oliver Queen/Green Arrow to help protect Star City (formerly Starling City), later operating under the alias Overwatch. The pair also become romantically involved, and eventually marry with Felicity giving birth to their daughter Mia Smoak.
Yeah but this version of Felicity is devoted only to me, she has all the knowledge and experience of the orginal but none of the drama that came along with her trisks with oliver queen and none of the motherly jazz about her supposed daughter. Which is weird because she knows all the back story concerning she other self but that just that a back story; for her and she's nonchalant about it. She act as if she my long lost childhood friend I bathe with and played house with.
Well after the facinating decent of the one and only Felicity; just for me... I made the first steps of my brilliant plan to power... I mean survival. I bought the NTZ-48 and all the necesary research; changed my room to add a basement lab with all the bells and wistles;
But then it hit me, wan't there something called molding talent that does exactly what I want to accomplish but skill base instead? So I started searching thru god's exchange list again and found one of such; which was also used in the story;
Focused State of Mind -
Rating 79.
Suitable for users with strong power, but have weak willpower, and the majority of most missions. While the ability is active, the user will enter a highly focused state, greatly increases awareness, will remain calm and cautious, and will not be controlled by any Psyche Force ability. Passively reforms the mind. Every use of the ability changes the user's mentality bit by bit. Long term uses can permanently increase the user's concentration and calmness. Requires 2,500 points and B rank reward.
When I saw the part where it says "will not be controlled by any Psyche Force ability I was hooked." purchasing it and reducing my upgrade certificate by one. I secured my points and ranked reward for later use, I may not want to standout for now since I'm not sure if Jie's existenial crisis will involve me but after Zheng gets leader previllage I'll be going all out. For now I have to build my foundations.
I quickly activated the skill and felt wierd it's like being awake but still dreaming, so this is what it does; it's slowly building me a Mind Palace while active and it's projecting how would I be if my Mind Palace is completed. That's why Heng the archer guy stabbed him self, its the disassociation the skill brings; Its like I'm in a lucid dream...cool now how will NZT-48 affect this skill? If what I'm thinking is correct I'll need one more thing to complete the set.
Diving back in god's exchange list I looked for that very thing...
Cyber New-Type Awakening -
Rating 73.
Applicable to missions that require above average intelligence, mental capacity and reaction speed. Increases sensitivity to the supernatural and strong emotions. Has access to Psychic Force and most esper abilities. When the mind is focused the Intelligence, Mental Capacity and Reaction Speed stats will substantially increase temporarily. Will not be affected with the mental degradation of a Cyber Newtypes. Requires 1400 points and C rank reward.
But what it doesn't include hear in the discription is the spacial awareness that this ability gives the Newtypes.
Paired with an active focus state of mind this would slowly mold the individual into an Esper. But with the help of the NTZ- 48 it will instantly create a Mind Palace sort all my memories that will pave way for a perpetually focused mind thus triggering the Cyber New-type abilities effectively making me an Esper.
The system deducting the amount from my points since its not covered by the Upgrade Certificate; that leaves me 4100pts. and a CCrank reward.
Facing Felicity; with a nod I downed the NTZ - 48...
18hrs later~
I must have rode the funky-est trip I've ever been on, Sitting on my lab table was vials that contain 5 out of the 8 variants of the mutagens in those research papers I found, when I was in my college years. Mainly this vials contains a concoction that would either activate or mutate the genes the way I wanted it. I manage to recreate one for the sports gene, the one for stronger bones, the one for optimized sleep, one for improve sense like taste, smell, hearing and sight lastly the most complicated one was calorie control giving my some kind of psuedo seimei kikan; that's all I could get done in 18hrs. with Felicity's help.
I filed all the data from start to finish in my mind palace, I will need it when the brew's effect wears off; Yup the effects are not permanent is only good for a week(7days) and the effect is not instant it's gradual and peaks at the fifth day, it takes that long for the genes to mutate and activate its supposed functions; and slowly reverts back to its original set up; but minute portion of the genes will remain mutated until all of them conforms with the mutated ones, as I continue the intake of the brew. A steady pace wins the race they say... hehe.
I laid on my bed and Felicity injects me with the concoctions, after she's done she cuddles with me for a while. As I assimilate the brew; putting my arm around her I asked " Are you ok with this? with me? in this death game? You already know I'm a disfunctional person right?" with the barage of questions she just simply answered with a smirk " I'll just have to learn to live with it, don't I?! given you could keep me alive long enough..." " Haha, Its so weird... you knowing how press my buttons like that. Appealing to the hero complex I've buried in me. haha" I gave her a peck on the lips while I close my eyes to rest a bit, tightening the hug to assure myself that I'm still not dreaming...( Yup this isn't all in my head! this bunnies are real.)
