Chapitre 5: [Gringotts]
We entered the gates together, I nervously eyed the two goblins situated at the entrance, they looked mean with those spears and I knew that there was no love lost between our species. I read the silver engravings on the entrance door and didn't know how I felt, amused that they tried to rhyme a death threat or fear at what could possibly be there.
"So I am supposed to get my heir ring right?" I asked Daniel, trying to keep the conversation going.
"Yes, the heir can be presented the heir ring at ages 11, or 13 or 15, we want you to get the heir ring as soon as possible so that you can accept the lord ring on your 17th birthday. Daphne on the other hand will get her heir ring when she's 13." Evelyn explained as Daniel let her take the lead.
'wait why does Daphne get her ring later?'
"But won't it be better for Daphne to get her ring today too? why at 13?" I asked with a confused face. I noticed Daniel and Evelyn look a little bit uncomfortable as they said, "because it will be unacceptable in pureblood societies if we delay giving you the heir ring-" at my continued stare she added, "- we pledged to raise you as our own Alex, but if we delay you access to your birthright any longer, we may be accused of bloodline theft and many other accusations-"
'...'
I nodded as the mood of the group shifted, we arrived in front of a free teller who said, "purpose of visit-" in such a tone I was intrigued at how he managed to make a polite statement with such disgust in his tone.
"Heir acceptance of Fawley family." Daniel swiftly answered back, he looked used to the behaviour.
"Follow me." the goblin jumped back disappearing from the view before a gate opened in the table and he waddled out.
It was amusing and I almost wanted to snicker but Evelyn gave both Tori and me a look to shut it and follow. We followed the little goblin as he led us through one of the doors, then another, and another before we finally arrived in a room.
There was another Goblin inside the room sitting behind an old desk. Me ad Tori shared a glance as the first goblin said, "Heir acceptance, Vault 23" before turning and leaving.
I stared at his departing back before looking at the goblin sitting behind the desk, "Mr Fawley, my names Ironheart, I have been the executioner of your estate for the last 21 years, why don't you take a seat."
'huh, he's not grumpy like the last one?'
I walked forward and took a seat, it took me a moment to realize that only I moved and everyone else stood behind.
"Its okay Alex, we'll wait for you outside-" Evelyn said before she dragged Tori out, Daniel and Daphne just followed her out before closing the door.
'So I am alone in a room with an older more experienced goblin, yay!'
I tried to ignore the rumours of goblins eating wizard kids for breakfast and looked Ironheart in the eye, "What now Mr Ironheart"
'Evelyn always said, face your fears and run if death is near, heh, that rhyme always cracks me up-'
A small smile lit up on my face which apparently disturbed Ironheart as he hurriedly said, "Now Mr Fawley, we check your identity before providing you with the heir ring and the summary of your holdings."
I nodded to indicate my understanding so he pulled out a small board which had a lot of runes drawn on it along with a pattern of various lines was etched onto it, after that he pulled out various items and ingredients and placed them at various parts of the board. In the end, he took out a roll of parchment and placed it at the end of the board where the snake-like pattern ended.
"Alright Mr Fawley, everything's set, place your hand here-" he indicated at the start of the pattern.
I hesitated for a second before placing my right ring finger at the indicated spot. I felt a sharp prick and with a jolt, I extracted my hand and looked at the fading wound from which a drop of blood was extracted.
'wait, something's changing-'
I immediately placed my hand inside my robe pocket and touched my wand trying to understand what was happening but it didn't make any sense. All of a sudden the materials across the board started melting and merging with the drop of blood that filled the pattern on the board. It looked like a lot of circles but they weren't closed and folded onto each other. The mixture of blood and ingredients flowed to the end of the pattern and then bled onto the parchment and instead of staining the parchment, it started to form words.

"Alright, Mr Fawley that should do it-" after saying that he picked up the parchment closed it and put a Gringotts seal on it, he cleaned the board by pressing a rune on it and then stored it away.
'but what was that weird feeling?'
"Here Mr Fawley put this on-" He reached into his drawers and picked out a box, carefully placing it on top of the table he opened it to reveal two rings, he picked up the smaller ring and placed it in front of me. I picked it up again feeling the weird magic around me before shrugging and slipping it on.
As soon as I slipped the ring on I felt my mind became a little clearer, I stared at the two Unicorns that were present in the seal on the ring as I felt a protective layer of magic covering me.
