The man in front of him was smiling brightly at her and she was sure if she looked at his smile she would be blind. Plus that kindness he saw to her each and every time. Katie looked at him for a while before looking down. She ran her finger slowly on the rim of the cup a few times. 

"Why are you so kind to me?" she asked, finally lifting her head.

Lucian, who has already predicted her question, thought for a while before replying.

I have spent enough time on this earth roaming around and meeting and working with many people. There were only a few of them who had genuinely tried to help him.

People have their greed and need and no one will be able to ignore them and give helping hands to total strangers without hoping to get anything in return.

She was one of them who did and he was grateful about that.

"Because….im.bored," he said nonchalantly.
