Chapter 48: A letter to my friend
If you are thinking about how fast did Dai Feng and the other groups climbed the mountain then let me tell you that the mountains are not that big.
After all, they are in plains, not in mountains. So 10minutes were more than enough, especially considering the fact that their life is on the line
Present time-
Hai Jiazhi collected all the clothes he could find and tied them together
Then, he dipped those clothes into a barrel which had oil in it and put it in front of a fire
He made sure that the oil gets warm and reaches a point where it will turn into smoke but didn't let it turn into smoke as it would be dangerous
He had other barrels also that were full of oil and now they all are warm to a point of his need
What happens when oil turns into smoke or to a point where it is about to turn into smoke?
Boom, it catches fire
And that is what Hao Jiazhi is planning right now
As for how he got so many oil barrels, it's all thanks to those enemy soldiers that had infiltrated his land
Don't forget, Hao Jiazhi can sense peoples stare no matter how far they are, thus Hao Jiazhi knew that something worst is going to come
So he had long stocked the oil and various amount of arrows for his soldiers to make sure that they could kill an enemy with little damage and manpower
And now that he got the signal, all he had to do was some strong people
"Zi Jun, hold this spear and throw it as far as possible" Hao Jiazhi said as he gave him (Zi Jun) a spear that has something attached to it

That oil barrel and now this spear with cloth, Zi Jun understood what his Colonel is doing
So, he holds the spear with his full strength and took a deep breath
*WHOOOOOOOOSH!!!!!*
And then he throws the spear as far as possible
Same with Hao Jiazhi and other soldiers of Dawn Unit, as the soldiers from the district have long arrived
"Burn them" Hao Jiazhi gave the command to his soldiers
And the last few stocks of arrows were now used
But those arrows were not used as a normal one, as the front of the entire arrow were wrapped in clothes and were burnt

One after another arrows were launched and soon, the whole spear with clothes started burning up in the sky

"RUN!!!!" An enemy soldier screamed as he knew what is coming, but it was too late

And in the blink, the fire spread from one person to another
"AHHHHHH!!!!"
All soldiers screamed and tried to run here and there, but from the top of the mountains came more new arrows and pierced the chest of the burning enemy body
And soldiers also came down to kill those who got away
The whole battlefield turned into a field of flames
Next day-
"What happened after I fall unconscious?" Hao Tai asked Bai Hong who had stayed by her side since last night
"I don't know as I have stayed by your side since last night" Bai Hong replied
Hao Tai nodded and told her to go back to her duties as she is a soldier. Staying by her side means she is leaving her job that could result in some bad remarks
Hao Tai felt a pain inside her head and then she remembered last night scene, especially the change in her little brother
"Little brother?... Is he ok?" Hao Tai asked her
"Colonel is alright now and it seems that the situation is also calm" Bai Hong replied
Hao Tai nodded and asked her to take her to the border camp
After some time, both of them were about to leave the mansion but suddenly, a soldier came and stopped them
"Sorry, Princess Hao Tai,
Right now the whole province is under military rule and a curfew is going on.
So till further commands don't come
No one is allowed to leave the place. Hope you could understand" the soldier told her
Bai Hong didn't agree with the soldier's word and disagreed but Hao Tai nodded and understood his words
She turned her wheelchair and was about to leave Bai Hong but the soldier stopped her and gave her something
"What is this scroll about?" Bai Hong asked
"Platoon Chief of Archer Unit, Bai Hong
you are dismissed from your position and now, you are no longer allowed to take any military role. Now you are just a civilian" the soldier told her
"Whaa….t?" Bai Hong asked
"All the reasons are personally written by Colonel in that scroll," The soldier said and left the place
Bai Hong is still confused right now as she doesn't know for what reason she lost her job
(she is really stupid right?)
Other side-
The soldier that has reached the imperial palace told the emperor and other ministers about the situation in Province Kuwon but it seems like the ministers and the emperor is in no mood to help
As they are thinking to ask help from some other superpower or big kingdom, as they have zero power to face a big kingdom like Liaohua Kingdom (the one that attacked)
But before they send any help to the other big kingdom, another soldier came and told that the war is over and they have won
Making every single minister and his brothers all shocked to their core
And so, words spread through-out the kingdom and other kingdom and soon the minister decided to call Hao Jiazhi to the capital and reward him for his merit
After all, the whole population of Tengyuan Kingdom is calling his name
On the other side-
Hao Jiazhi has taken out the information from ex-general Yao Tu and lieutenant general about the attack and the kingdom behind this whole thing
And as everyone knew, it is the Liaohua Kingdom
But even though he knows which kingdom is the one behind the attack; will it be enough to face them?
The big kingdoms are surely not gonna meddle in some small deal as to them, protecting a small province for some food is…. you know…
It's not worth it
Now the only thing Hao Jiazhi is left with is to write a letter to his friend abroad

"Things are really not looking good" Lu Long said as he is looking at some reports
His attendant Xu Yijun nodded and said "yes, this poison is really dangerous and more than 1000 people have already died
If things will keep on going, your position will come in danger"
Lu Long nodded but he didn't say anything
A voice came and a servant enters the room of Lu Long and handed him a letter
Lu Long took the letter and gave a smile as he saw the name of the sender
"So, finally my wait is over huh…" Lu Long said and then read the letter
*Wide smile*
