Five silent days had passed since the wedding and Michael and I decided to start everything on a clean slate.

Well, we decided to start as friends but the kisses here and there spelled something different.

He slept in my bed and he hoarded me through the night. When I woke up, his arms would be wound around me too tightly and I would stare at him shamelessly until he seemed like he was about to wake up.

I would act like I hated his guts and he would abruptly pull me into his arms and slather my face in kisses that made me shiver.

I still thought about why he was so insistent on not giving me a divorce but with every kiss he pressed to my skin, my fears and suspicions disappeared.

"Nobody eats pancakes as breakfast in Nigeria, baby" he yelled from the kitchen, trying to make the pankcakes like I showed him as I stared at the laptop as I chatted with manufacturers who could provide the items I needed for my site.
