"Alright, next up is Homoto Munedao of the hidden grass vs Iseto Uchiha of the hidden leaf!" Shibi announced, waiting for both fighters to come down from the standing area.
The hidden grass shinobi had a straight face, not giving any form of expression or emotion away as he took his place on the fighting stage.
"Good look Iseto." Both of his team members shouted as they watched him walk away, blushing as he turned to look at both the girls.
"Thanks, but I don't need luck." He said as he gripped the railings with his left hand before vaulting over it and dropping down to the ground landing in a superhero pose.
"He's so cool!" They both shouted, acting like groupies rather than ninjas.
"Alright, are you both ready?" Shibi asked watching as the Uchiha took his place.
"Yes." They both said.
"Alright, take your positions." Shibi then said, giving them the chance to move back and prepare for battle.
Kaga watched the Uchiha kid closely, having done his research on all of the genin in the exam this year, as were the instructor's rights to see the candidates entered in the exam.
His name was Iseto Uchiha. thirteen years of age and of course could use the fire style jutsu that all Uchiha were blessed with. Other than that his grades had been good, top of his class, and his mission record had been steady.
His opponent on the other hand was also thirteen years of age and was also proficient in fire chakra transformation. However, Kaga had not been able to find his grades or mission log.
"This should be an interesting match up." Kaga then thought as he waited for the battle to start.
"Alright, begin!" Shibi shouted, announcing the start of the match.
Neither of them wasted any time in making the first move as each of them started by throwing a volley of shuriken. The metal ninja stars cut through the air at great speed before the sound of metal crashing against metal rang through the air.
"Fire style fireball jutsu!" Both of them suddenly shouted as they made the hand signs at the same time.
Both of them unleashed their fire style jutsu, letting the flames roar against one another, fighting and battling for dominance over the other as the fire tried to consume itself.
They were both equally surprised at what had happened, as well as realizing that their jutsu was also equally matched.
The Uchiha wasn't happy and instead broke off his jutsu, quickly jumping into the air as he reached inside of his weapons pouch.
Homoto watched as Iseto leapt into the air, his fire style taking full control and crashing into the wall behind where Iseto had been standing.
Iseto quickly threw another round of shuriken at his opponent before he flipped in the air and threw some more.
Homoto quickly jumped back and pulled a kunai from his own weapons pouch, using it to deflect the incoming shuriken. However, he had not seen the shuriken that Iseto had thrown behind him, assuming that he had simply missed and had not given it a second thought.
He had not missed, he had in fact done this on purpose and with excellent skill, used another shuriken to alter the trajectory of said shuriken to re-aim it at Homoto from behind him.
"Not take this, fire style!" Homoto started.
"Got you," Iseto said, taking Homoto's attention as he landed on the ground. Not even looking up at his opponent.
Homoto was too slow to react as he turned around, with the shuriken hitting him in the centre of his forehead, deflecting off of his headband as he did.
The force of the blow, however, had knocked him to the ground having been strong enough to end the fight, looking as if he had been killed by the blow.
"Winner, Iseto Uchiha!" Shibi announced, as the medics quickly ran over to Homoto to check him over.
Iseto flicked his long black hair out of his eyes as he smiled.
"He never stood a chance." He said acting cocky as both the girls on his squad cheered for him.
With that all done, Shibi was about to start the name generator for the next match, however, a hidden leaf ninja ran over to him, whispering something into his ear.
Shibi nodded and turned back to the audience before he made his announcement.
"Alright, you lot listen up. We still have a total of eleven matches to get through, however, we will be taking a short break after the fifth match. So let's begin the next round." He then said as he turned to the screen above that started to shuffle through the names at random.
Everyone looks at the large screen above Waiting to see who's name was next. The names came to a slow until finally, they stopped, revealing who would be combatting.
"Alright, next up we have. Sho of the hidden rain vs Hattori Toyotomi of the hidden mist." He said, announcing the next fighters.
Hattori smiled as he crossed his arms, turning and making his way down to the stage.
"Guess you don't need any words of encouragement!" Miyako shouted as she watched him walk off, cool as a cucumber.
Sho of the hidden rain tilted his large hat as he frowned a little, knowing this was going to be a tough match as he watched Hattori make his way down.
Kimimaro and the others were also eager to see Hattori's skills first hand, watching him as he made his way to the centre stage.
Now both Sho and Hattori had taken their positions, with Shibi getting ready to announce their battle.
"Both ready?" He said, watching as the two of them readied their weapons, with Hattori simply gripping the hilt of his sword.
"Begin." He said, not expecting Hattori to move as fast as he did.
Sho gripped his large umbrella tight as he raised it above his head, about to unleash a jutsu of some kind. However, he didn't get the chance as Hattori was already standing behind him slowly resheathing his blade after he had flicked the blood off of it.
"How..." Sho said as his chest suddenly opened with blood spraying out onto the ground before he collapsed.
Hattori finally put his blade fully back into its scabbard, allowing the clicking noise to ring through the hall.
"Quickdraw style." He said softly as he turned to look at his downed opponent with pity.
"Match over, winner...Hattori of the mist." Shibi said, looking at him in interest.
The medical team was on Sho as quickly as they could be, already getting the bandages ready to try and stop the bleeding.
"You won't need many of those, his life is not in danger," Hattori said as he walked past them, letting them know that he didn't go for a killing blow. Something the medical ninja were astounded by due to the amount of blood.
Kimimaro and the others were also impressed, noting Hattori's impressive speed and skill with a blade.
Kaga especially, noting the skill and technique he had just used.
"Did any of you see what he just did?" Koyuki asked, looking at Haku and then Kimimaro.
Haku nodded in response, with Kimimaro turning to look at her.
"Could you not see his movements Koyuki?" He asked, surprised.
"What? You're telling me you could see what just happened." She said.
Haku gave a light-hearted laugh not realizing Koyuki couldn't see the movement.
"Don't worry too much Koyuki, it's one of those moves that if you blink you miss it." Kaga then said, helping to make her feel better.
However, Haku flashed a serious look at Kimimaro, one he noted before he looked back to Hattori as he now recognised him as a full threat.
Once the medical team had taken Sho away for treatment the stage was ready for the next matchup.
The names started to spin at random until they finally stopped once again as they revealed the next match up.
"Alright, the next match will be Hana Inazuka of the hidden leaf vs Gogi of the hidden rain.
Gogi was a member of the second team of rain ninja, unlike Sho's squad, Gogi's squad had yet to be chosen for a battle as now Sho and Mushi of the rain had been defeated.
Both shinobi took their positions on the stage, looking each other in the eyes as they prepared for battle.
Haku took a good look at the two of them, noting that Hana was a pretty girl, looking to be around 13 years old. She had long hair tied back in a ponytail, and two red fang-like markings on her cheeks.
Gogi on the other hand had a yellow jumpsuit with a rebreather that had only one outlet on. The rain ninja seemed to look older than the leaf ninja, however, Haku knew that age didn't always mean one would be stronger.
"Both ready?" Shibi asked as he looked to both Hana and Gogi.
"Yes," Hana said as she got ready.
"Hm," Gogi said as he placed his hands into his pockets, seeming very calm.
"I'll take that as a yes," Shibi said as he lifted his hand into the air.
"Begin!" He then shouted, giving them the signal to start the battle.
Gogi didn't move much as he kept his hands in his pockets, simply watching to see what Hana did.
Hana on the other hand jumped back to clear some distance, pulling a scroll from her hips she did.
"What you got there?" Gogi asked, seeming only slightly interested.
"You're about to find out!" Hana shouted as she pulled the scroll loose, summoning whatever it was holding inside it as a large amount of white smoke burst forth.
"Come on out Haimaru brothers!" She shouted as the smoke cleared to reveal three large wolf-like dogs.
"Time to rip you to shreds." Hana then said as the dogs surrounded her, with the dogs standing in an aggressive stance with one on each side of her and the last one behind her, all three of them snarling at Gogi.
"Well, this is going to be more entertaining than I thought.." Gogi then said as he finally took his hands out of his pockets.
