Chapitre 96: Chapter: Bad News
It had been an entire day since the main base of the Anunnaki had fallen. Zane sat on an empty window ledge of a building they had conquered, with Layla by his side. Layla gently laid her head against his shoulder and took a deep breath.
Layla knew that the plan that Apollo had proposed would distance Zane from her temporarily. She was willing to spend any amount of time she could, embracing his presence before the final showdown began.
There was however something bothering, her. She could not tell what was making her feel uncomfortable, but for some reason, she felt as if Zane would not be by her side for much longer.
"Something bothering you?" Asked Zane— playfully flickering her forehead.
"Yeah, just a little bit... I'm just wondering what happens next with your plan..."
Zane did not give an immediate response. He too had a slightly awful feeling that something was not right.
