"I will not accept any reason," said Faye sharply, "you dare to cut ties with your parents. I'm sure you will do the same to me."
"Of course not, honey," Denis tried to reassure her. Being away from her for a few hours already made him miss her, how could he leave her?
"Say that to your parents," said Faye with clenched fists wanting to once again slap his other cheek.
"Fay," Denis took a deep breath, "I know you're disappointed with me, but please believe in me just this time. I didn't do it without a reason. I also love my parents, very much."
Faye's annoyance eased a little.
Denis was so depressed and sad to hear her sharp words.
