Remember the days when I had all the spider evolutions, and could have unlocked [Spider Transformation]?
Yeah, I didn't have anywhere NEAR that much nutrition, and attempting to gather it would have left such widespread destruction that sentient predators couldn't be blamed for grouping up and wiping me out.
That was something far, far into the future. Or not, depending upon how one looked at the scale of things.
It wasn't five days practical, certainly.
As it was, reality had split my preparation into two periods; three days without working spider silk, and only two days with. Why? Because even when you actualize those organs, it takes time for them to refill on the web fluids. Once they get going, though, as long as you feed them you have more supply than most people can use in a day.
Most people. Without knowing specific volumes, I thought I'd be running short.
I debated just doing the fight, and flashing back every time Rhishi deployed a new ability. And then I realized how much I hated reading that, how it looked like the author was cheating, just giving away stuff at the exact moment it was needed.
Cobalt Beetle has its own victory plan, and sadly some of Rhishi's assumptions are wrong. So, it's actually going to be a fight worth giving at least half a chapter to, but I'm going to see if I can stretch it across 1400 words or so.
Maybe a full chapter, but definitely no longer.
As always, thank you for your continued readership and support! It is like having a motivational super power.
