Chapitre 112: Disappointment

Luo Xiao glanced at the dead beast. The snake-like body was twitching, and its blood was flowing freely. The icicles were slowly melting due to the warm blood, and the dense metallic scent was shrouding Luo Xiao, but he felt no disgust nor pity for the beast.

Instead, he was frowning and looking at Jiang Yao. They had two purposes by coming to the Beast Ridge; one was to get their hands on a Moon Anise for Jiang Yao so that his realm could have a minor breakthrough, but also because of Luo Xiao wanting to learn how to control his abilities, solidify his foundations, and advance his rank.

However, it seemed that Jiang Yao was pampering him too much. Although he had allowed Luo Xiao to deal with the mercenaries and bandits they had encountered when in the caravan, now that they had arrived at the Beast Ridge, he was simply too protective.

It was as if he feared that Luo Xiao would be ripped to shreds in a moment, or did he think that he was too weak?
