Chapitre 29: Chapter 29
Endeavor agencies. A tall skyscraper that holds many luxurious items that belong to the Number 2 hero, Endeavor.
Shoto and Axel stood outside the door as they stared at the tall building for a few seconds before looking at the door, which has a giant E on it.
Both of them walked inside and were greeted by the receptionist who gave them the key cards that allowed them access to the facilities in the building while giving them a layout to help them.
" Endeavor wishes to meet you both. Please head up to floor 50 where his office is located. "
Standing in the elevator, Axel pressed the button for the 50th floor after using his key card to access the elevator.
The elevator started to up as silence took over the elevator.
" So why did you choose my father? " Shoto asked as he stared ahead. He was surprised that his father gave Axel a recommendation and even more surprised that Axel agreed to it.
" He was the best option. " Axel said. Remembering all the people who gave him offers, he realized that out of all of them, Endeavor had the highest chance of getting actual combat against villains, similar to the USJ incident.
" In what regard? " Shoto asked.
" Training. " Axel said.
" Okay. That's good. " Shoto said.
" Please don't involve me in your family problems. I'm not good with those. " Axel said.
" Can't promise you that. " Shoto said.
The elevator stopped as the both of them stepped out and walked to Endeavors office.
They knocked on the door before hearing...
" Enter. " A stern voice from inside said.
Opening the door, both stepped inside as they looked at Endeavor with his flaming mustache flowing in the invisible wind that was entering the room.
" Shoto. It's good you came here. We can finally start training to harness your flames. " Endeavor said with a grin.
" Yes, I know. You've told me this many times. " Todoroki said as he glared at Endeavor with hatred and annoyance.
" No matter. As for you. " Endeavor said as he looked at Axel who merely stared back.
" You were the one who pushed my son the farthest at the sports festival so I invited you here as a training partner to help him grow stronger. " He said bluntly. Axel wasn't really phased as he just stared back. Endeavor looked at Axel and saw he wasn't affected by his words. Endeavor walked past both of them towards the door.
" Follow me. We will begin training right away. " Endeavor said. Shoto and Axel followed Endeavor.
They headed towards the elevator and went to one of the gyms Endeavor had installed in the building. Heading inside, endeavor stood at the center of the gym while Axel and Shoto changed out of their uniforms.
" This internship will last a week, which means I have 7 days to train you the best I can, and I'm using it. " Endeavor said.
" Shoto. You have better control over your ice due to using it for a longer time so you won't be using it here. These 7 days will only be fire control training. Axel. From what I saw during the sports festival, you have excellent control over your quirk and know it inside and out so you can do your own quirk training.
We will also be doing hand-to-hand combat as well. We will rotate between quirk training and hand to hand. Quirk training will be 3 hours while hand to hand will be 2 hours. You will have a lunch break and then we will go out to search for villains to take down as experience.
However, that will be tomorrow as today ill only be training. Quirk training is first. Shoto, follow me. " Endeavor said as he walked to one side of the gym as Shoto followed.
" By the way, this gym can produce fake enemies that you can use as target practice. " Endeavor said as he looked at Axel and Shoto.
" Must cost a fortune to repair the broken enemies. " Shoto said.
" It does, but we just recycle the broken parts for new enemies each time so it saves some amount of money. " Endeavor said
" Axel, break as many enemies as possible. " Shoto said as he glanced at Axel.
" I'll try. " Axel said while sighing and went to the other corner.
...
" Bring out 5 fireproof targets. " Endeavor said. Immediately, 5 dummies appeared in front of Shoto and Endeavor with targets on their chests, 15 meters away from them.
" Your first lesson fire today is to hit those targets with only your fire. First, create a flame in your hand. " Endeavor said as he looked at Shoto. Shoto did just that and created a small flame in his left hand.
" Good. Your task is to hit those five targets in the center with your flames. I'll demonstrate and you can try right after. " Endeavor said as he pointed his right hand at one of the targets. he extended his index finger and a flame appeared. The fire rocketed off from his finger and struck the target in the chest.
"That's what you should be able to do. " Endeavor said. Shoto looked at his father and replayed the same instance over in his head.
' He compressed the flames at a single point being his finger and launched it. ' Todoroki thought.
He stepped up and raised his hand. He pointed his index finger out as a small flame appeared on top of it. Pointing his finger at the target, he pushed his fire towards the target. The flame however moved only about 4 meters before fizzling out.
" 4 meters. That's good. You don't have much control over your flames but that wasn't a bad start. Try once more. By the end of the day, I want to be able to hit the dummy. " Endeavor said to Shoto. Shoto nodded as he had already pushed back the hatred toward his father to grow stronger.

On the other side of the room, Axel sat down and used his quirk.
'Let's try using the arm again. ' Axel thought.
In front of Axel, multiple barriers started forming in front of him. He started to place them in certain places like a jigsaw puzzle. Slowly but surely an arm started to form.
From the fingers to the end of the arm, Axel created it out of barriers. He then started to move the arm around while making it various things, similar to a real arm.
Axel then created a sword and the arm grabbed the sword. He then made the arm swing the sword, hitting nothing but air.
Soon enough, Axel stopped using the arm as it disappeared. Sweat dripped from his face as he took deep breathes. He started training to use the arm before the sports festival but couldn't complete it in time.
He needed to move his barrier similar to the joints in an actual arm to make the arm move.
' It works. With these, I can pull people towards me while using other barriers to protect myself. It took a while, but it's worth it. Through making a full-body avatar will take more time to master and use effectively.
I'll keep practicing with the arms only for now but I should make progress with something else in these 7 days. ' Axel thought as he brought his hands close and pressed his fingers against each other.
' I'll try this now. '
Concentrating, Axel moved his hands away from each other. A yellow line appeared in between his index fingers. Using tiny rectangle barriers, he connected them in the form of a string.
This put a smile on Axel's face.
