Chapitre 47: The Hokage's Secretary
When Tsunade transferred the responsibilities to Kakashi she also transferred enormous tasks of paperwork and a lot more. Shikamaru was assigned as the hokage's personal assistant but was not enough to finish all work until their deadlines. Kakashi and Shikamaru are greatly exhausted but seemed like the work was never done. An idea came into Shikamaru's mind.
"What a drag! Why don't we hire a secretary?"
"huh? We'll ask Shizune to help out"
"No we need someone who has a strong leadership skill that can handle everything so we can rest from time to time, the paperwork can be learned"
"I wonder if she... never mind"
"I'll post the opening tomorrow and handle the screening too, leave it to me and Sakura"
"What qualities are you exactly looking for the post?"
"Excellent shinobi skills that don't need protection, being part of the hokage's leadership can cause danger, like she can be targeted to get to you, let say worst case scenario I had to protect you, she should at least can protect herself. Excellent leadership skills to work, move, command and decide on our behalf. She also needs to be brave and presentable so we can bring her along when we need to go on meetings."
"So she needs to be a girl?"
"Yes, because woman in nature is good in organizing and even if we find a warrior Sakura will train her so that's not a problem"
"Very well, I leave it to the both of you. Ahhh, I'm beat, I should get some sleep"

The next morning the word spread quickly and more than a hundred and fifty applicants arrived. Most of them that came from other villages are fans of Naruto and wanted to get the post just to always see him, others are fans of Kakashi.
"What a drag"
"This is you idea, so how can we pick the most qualified, I can't interview one hundred and fifty applicants"
"Let's make them take assessments that focus on a specific skill set and as we go along we can narrow them down as those who fails will be eliminated.
Part 1: written exams. The Examiners are given a paper that has scenario based questions and mathematical equations. This will measure their analytical and decision making skills. They were given exactly 1 hour to answer the test and whether they finish all or not they have to submit their answers. Result: 50 passed and will move forward the next phase, they are surprised that one of the applicants got a perfect score Irene Fernandez.
Part 2: Board Game- Shogi: It is more commonly known as Japanese chess, is just like chess, more or less a battle simulator requiring a strategical mind and prediction. Shikamaru explains the rules and mechanics of the game, it will be a tournament where they were divided into 25 pairs who will battle against each other- the winner advances and challenges the winner of the other. You will be rank and the top ten players will advance to the next round. Result: 10 passed and they notice the same person who had a perfect win score who actually is the champion and did not loose a single game.
"Irene Fernandez again"
"She has no affiliation of any villages"
"And is extremely good, it too good to be true, and is quite suspicious, we need to keep an eye on her"
Part 3: One on One Combat: This part of the exam will showcase your fighting skills and your ninja abilities, we will observe all your techniques and strength as well as weapon mastery. this is a five match event will draw who will be against who and the five emerging winners will advance to the final round. The winners of each match were called and led to a waiting room. As expected the mystery applicant finished her battle in 15 seconds which raised Shikamaru's and Sakura's eye brow.
Everything is being reported to the hokage. The name seemed familiar but he can't remember where or when or how it just felt familiar.
Final Assessment: Interview. The test will allow the two to asses their personality and people skills. And so they were called one by one to the room and was interrogated. And lastly it is the mysterious applicant's turn.
"You are quite impressive, you scored 100% on the written exams, has straight wins in shogi and the fastest match on the fight event." sakura narrated and she just nodded in response.
"You didn't write your village affiliation. Your name is Irene Fernandez, right?" Shikamaru began asking
"No"
"What do you mean?" the two asked in unison. The she began removing her black shirt wig that revealed a long scarlet hair that cascaded on her back flowing in the air. She also removed her contact lenses that revealed her sharingan. Lastly she removed the make up that covered her byakugu and the uchiha mark just a little below her shoulders.
"eeeeekkkk!!! Is it really you?" Sakura squealed
"Erza" Shikamaru said gawking ta her
"Ohisashiburidesune minna san (Long time no see)" she greeted them with a smile
"Welcome back" Sakura responded
"What a drag! Why do you have to let us go through the selection process wherein fact if you told us the truth we have automatically chosen you" Shikamaru stated
"I want to go through the process fair and square. I know that's what you'll do so I went to disguise myself" she explained
"You're hired" the two cheered in unison giving her a thumbs up
"Kochira koso yoroshiku onegai shimasu (We're going to be dealing with each other frequently, so let's be on good terms)" Erza said bowing to them
"Damn you really have fine manners" Shikamaru commented
"Of course, she is the fairy queen and the Uchiha Princess" Sakura said
"Oh that reminds me, how is it going between you two? are you and Sasuke together now?" the red head asked
"We are dating" she answered with a slight blush
"Don't you dare sink my ship Sakura, I'm counting on you, go get Sasuke" she said cheering for her
"How about you Shikamaru? You sure have grown into a fine man. Anyone you like?" she interrogated
"Temari and him are dating" Sakura squealed
"Temari from the suna? Sounds good to me" she said giving him a thumbs up making the young man fluster.
"Let's introduce the new secretary to our rokudaime, shall we?" said Shikamaru as he lead the way for the two girls.
Shikamaru opened the door and entered followed by Sakura.
"Lord sixth, we want you too meet your new secretary" Sakura said with a cheerful smile
"Drop the word Lord"
"You may enter now" Shikamaru called her
A beautiful young teenage looking woman (because of the byakugou made her not age at all), wearing a black turtle neck blouse with long sleeves tucked in a cheerleader red and black checkered mini skirt paired with black leggings and brown ankle boots. Her red hair is held with a white ribbon on a high ponytail. She enters the room smiling shyly head slightly bent dwon with a light tint of pink on her cheeks.
Kakashi stood up in surprise "Erza!" then he ran towards her and hugged her. "We'll leave the two of you alone" Shikamaru said signalling Sakura to go out and leave the two.
"What are you doing here?"
"As I promised, when you become the hokage I'll stay with you"
"But how about the guild, You're the guild master now, my love is not fragile, I'll understand and I can wait"
"Well, it's too late now, I asked Makarov to be the master again and asked his permission to leave the guild so he erased my guild insignia as a sign of release" pointing her left arm.
"Are you going to be okay? That's your home"
"I'm sorry it took me a while, my home is where you are"
"How did you become my secretary? Those two acting up like they didn't plan this with you"
"haha" she laughed "They didn't plan it, I heard you were looking for a secretary and I disguised myself as Irene Fernandez and luckily I topped all the exams"
"I knew that name is familiar"
"Irene is my mother's name and Fernandez is Jellal's last name. It will be too obvious if I used Fullbuster or Uchiha, or Belserion or Scarlet or even Hatake, right?"
"You can sure use Hatake, I prefer it that way"
"Now now, if you marry an Uchiha you'll bear our clan crest but I'll carry your name"
"I don't care, I just want you here by my side, thank you Erza, I love you"
"I love you too Kakashi kun"
