By now Anna Gale was already slowly moving towards the gate and passed trough it.

Just as the front part of the truck went trough she stopped the truck and went down.

While she was doing that, she looked at the situation on other side of the gate and thought of something. "What about eradicating them the way you did last time?"

*Request possible when they are more than five thousand of these creatures on one spot.*

Number was important?

"If I gather many on one spot, will you be able to eradicate them?" Anna Gale started pacing as she waved at the gate to disappear.

She still used the first gate and knew how to control the open time.

*As long there are no other humans outside, the request is possible. But the more zombies are in group, the more you have to pay. For every group of ten thousand zombies, you have to pay with time of the gate and one city in other world or any settlement in this world.*

Reading that she glanced at general Lewis and explained him. "The gate said he can eradicate larger groups of zombies, but there shouldn't be any humans nearby and I have to pay with the gate time and opening of map. Unfortunately he doesn't accepts just looking at the map than me literally traveling. I will need maps of surroundings and roads. I will go and bring you some supplies. My time is already limited. Let's hurry."

She looked at the truck she brought and saw that it was full with sodas and such. "Unload this and keep truck to go with survivors out to scavenge for food."

Anna's words made the curious people that were nearby shake in fear. They have to go out?

Just then a screech could be heard.

Anna Gale calmly turned her head towards the walls and flatly looked back. "Told you so. Now tell me, you don't really plan to let poor people sleep in tents in winter. Right?"

General Lewis became serious. "We are renovating one of big halls inside. It was meant to be a large storage, but I plan putting inside stackable beds so people could sleep inside. We painted it and now wait only for the pain to dry and they can go inside."

"Will you have enough beds? What about privacy of people? Enough toilets and bathrooms. Separation of families and singles. Separating male and females?" She saw movies where such thing was always problematic.

Looking at this twelve years old wise child he chocked. "I would set up walls and make dormitories and separate rooms, but we don't have material to do so."

Anna Gale pointed at walls. "Not even fifteen minutes from here is a large company. Just go there and get all needed material..."

Just then a soldier came back running. "Sir, water is like acid for them. After feeling water, they started dispersing and left the walls."

Anna Gale looked at the map and enlarged it. "They literally scattered and as such they are easier to kill. About weapons... what about taking water guns with you and using it in need."

Just thinking about made general Lewis feel ridiculous but seeing her completely serious expression he knew she really meant it.

"I'll go and bring another truck from other street. Make space." She opened a gate and not long after a slowly moving truck passed trough the gate.

This was filled literally with instant noodles and made many people cheer. Anna Gale rolled her eyes as they forgot that loyd noise will attract zombies and slowly those scattered ones gathered slowly around walls and were attacked with... water.

Five trucks later Anna Gale took the map they gave her and glanced at her mother. "Mother, I know you are scared, but don't forget, I'm here to look after you. Go with others to gather things. Trust me."

Jocelyn Gale thought about it and remembered the moment she shot at Henry Gale. Her daughter has her back and she could leave and get what she needed.

A loud announcement could be heard. "All survivors going with us will get special treatment. As money means nothing to us, general Lewis made a point system. All that help us gather supplies will get hundred points daily. The points will be used for various things needed, from better beds to own rooms. Supplies you can carry on your own will be personal property. And we will have own stores. By the way, each zombie you kill will give you five points."

"What we have to do to prove it?" A man came forward.

"We are gonna make groups and you are not to leave groups as it's too dangerous. Each group will have one soldier making notices and the killings will be officially counted. If you leave the group and go on your own, killings won't be counted and you will put yourself and your group in danger." The general Lewis stood on stool and explained.

Michelle Gale held her mother's hand and pouted. "Even without sisters help you will be safe, luckily for you sister always leaves enough time for extreme situation. We need to go back. Mother, we planned finding a tent for us, but if you can have own room, sister can bring you a good mattress and good beddings. And we can visit more often."

They hugged her and went trough shiny gate.

No matter how often they saw it, the people got stunned every single time.

Jocelyn Gale felt strangely proud and smiled as she walked towards the tent she shared with three other women. Inside were two stackable beds and the three women actually accepted her amazingly from first day on.

One even shared her secret stash of sweets and now she shared food with them. "If four of us go together, we could ask for own room."

The three glanced at her serious expression and agreed. A woman next up her had shiny natural afro hair and poked her sides while laughing. "Your daughters are good girls. Don't you want room for them as well?"

She became serious. "We can ask for a bigger room and add one more stackable bed. The two girls can sleep together when their sister chose to sleep here. I chose to keep you three nearby for another reason. We will gather supplies and we can keep some on our own. Even though my daughter's bring things, they can't carry much. We will gather our own things we need and need always one person staying here to watch over the room. I fear that some people might get stupid ideas and try to rob us when we are not near."

The three women got serious. Even if they are safe here for now, there are things happening in darkness of night and sometimes soldiers arrive late.

Living together makes sense...
