Chapitre 62: Leverage

In the morning leading to the grand event, they were planning so meticulously, Sarah woke up to some disturbing news. Elias woke her around 6 AM looking grim-faced and pale and delivered the news that rocked her world and made it crumble at her feet.

"Austin called this morning, he lost contact with your parents," Elias said with a strained voice making a shiver run up her spine.

"What do you mean he lost contact with them? they're in the middle of the sea, where could they have gone."

"He called one of the crews to do a welfare check, and they didn't find them in their suit. There was supposed to be a delivery that evening, so a chopper flew in and out. They believe that they were taken in that chopper," Elias said

The image of her parents at the mercy of those psychopaths who were chasing after them a few days ago came to her mind. Blinding fear and despair caught her by surprise and her legs disappeared from under her as she almost sank to the floor.
