Chapitre 76: Trust II

The kettle was heating up the water with a temperature increasing by the second in the kitchen when Histoire finally entered the living room. The ice blocks on the floor had melted into small puddles. It was at least an hour before the stuff could be called for service and by then the puddles would have already dried up. She walked over the puddles with her bare feet, still wearing the long shirt. The air conditioning in the bedroom was turned off but since the room temperature was no longer needed to maintain the ice, it was on again and Histoire could enjoy the pleasure of the heat in the winter.
