Chapitre 34: Maybe...

It had ceased to drizzle and the sky had darkened with darker masses of accumulated clouds threatening an even heavier rainfall when Histoire woke up. It was a few hours well past sunset and she was still groggy and would sans doubt be returning to sleep very soon. Her nose was congested, turning the bundle into a red bulb, and her eyes an equal colour and watery. And her head was weighted by sinus pressure and a light compression that was a headache.

She groggily moved one of her arms up to press against her temples with her fingers, carefully applying light pressure so as to not irritate her fingertips. Her eyes were still shut and her body buried underneath the softness and comfort of the bed covers. They felt heavy, prompting her to keep them half-lidded to allow them time to adjust to the brightness of the room. But they simply refused to do so.
