RING! RING!

Xander looked at his phone, peeling his eyes away from his friends and was shocked when he saw who the caller was.

"Sorry," he said to his friends and answered the call. "Hello?"

"Hey."

He was a bit shocked to have her call him but then, what could he say? He was glad still.

"Hey, what's up?"

"Umm, I am good. You?"

"Okay. Sorry I did not call to check up on you. Hope you are alright?"

"Yeah…"

"Okay. Umm, sorry I hope I did not get you cold or something. You know, the flying and all."

He tried his best to lower his voice at the last part to prevent his friends from butting in.

"Huh. I did not quite get that."

"Fine. Give me a minute." Standing up, he excused himself and went over to the balcony to speak to her. "I said, hope you are not cold because of the flying?"

"No. I am not. Quite the opposite in face."
