Hal contacted Arya and Karmen through telepathy and informed them he was fine. When they mentioned the Alchemist organization searching and working to save him he told them to let it be.

After all, it was not like he could allow them to say where he really was.

If the organization wanted to take him for some sort of charity case in need of rescue, then by all means they were free to do so.

He was more concerned with how he would find this supplier and since Ehrlich had made it clear many times that he had given all the information he could, Hal decided he might as well get information in the city.

Once they were both out of the forest, Hal found an inn and paid for a room with Ehrlich getting a room right by his own to keep an eye on him.
