Chapitre 55: Tea Party
Zeus woke up early the next morning.
He yawned and tried to sit up but he couldn't his body was being pressed down on both sides. He didn't even look last night but Persephone was naked too. He was startled and looked at her naked body, by coincidence or not, Persephone stretched her back and unintentionally displayed her perfect curves before turning her back to Zeus.
Zeus' nose was already gushing and he got a full view of her plump behind. He almost lost control. He quickly got up, cleaned himself up, and got dressed before going out of the room.
Zeus started pacing seriously as he thought about his dream last night. The dark and pink fairies were corresponding to the positions of Bonney and Persephone last night. He froze up and his mind went blank, the only thing that crossed his mind was the unexpectedly real feeling kiss in his dreams.
Zeus started to panic and lit a cigarette quickly before leaving Bege's body, telling him to tell Bonney and Persephone he left ahead of them for business. Bege agreed and let Zeus out, muttering 'Lucky bastard' as he left.
Unfortunately, Zeus didn't fell like a lucky bastard. In fact, he felt like the opposite and this put him in a really bad mood. Normally any man would be happy but Zeus felt like he cheated Bonney, even if it was unintentional.
Of course, he thought Persephone was amazing but after everything Bonney did for him, it just felt like he was being a scumbag. Zeus got angrier as he walked towards the giant door of the tea party, just looking at the face on the door almost sent him into a rage.
The door said "Oh hell-" Zeus snapped "Shut up and open like a normal fucking door." the door was startled and quickly opened.
The entire party quieted down when Zeus walked in, everyone turned their heads to look at him. Zeus' hat was hanging around his neck, his pure white hair was slicked back and he had a pissed off look on his face. He was wearing the same suit he was wearing last night.
Needless to say, he did not look friendly.
Zeus looked around before spotting the giant balloon like figure of Big Mom. Zeus sneered and walked through the venue, lighting a cigarette with a current between his fingers as he walked, the only sound was the tapping of Zeus' shoes as he walked slowly.
Big Mom's crew were watching Zeus' every move and Big Mom herself was staring at Zeus.
Zeus' aura was accumulating with each step, getting to the point where some weaker people felt it was becoming harder to breathe. Zeus stopped and exhaled a ring of smoke before sneering "Hurry up and speak. I have 100 things more important than your fucking tea party."
Zeus' eyes glowed a hostile red light and his mouth widened into a malicious grin.
Big Mom burst out laughing and the other guests paled, who the fuck was this guy to talk to Big Mom like that?! Katakuri looked at Zeus silently, Brulee found out that she had lost her scar when someone with red eyes grabbed her face. Katakuri of course knew it was Zeus but he was confused as to why Zeus would do that.
They were by no means friends or even acquaintances. In fact, it was the opposite they were 'enemies'. Although Katakuri was confused it didn't mean he wasn't grateful, though he was a little irk'd by what Zeus said, he looked into the future and his guess was correct.
Big Mom said "Oh yeah? Do you know what happened to the last guy who said that to me?"
Zeus lifted his hand and said "To be honest, I couldn't care less. This is quite the good show, but you miscalculated." Zeus' Conqueror's Haki exploded from his body and covered the entire Tea party as he said seriously "I didn't come here to be a monkey and perform for you. You want to talk business we'll talk business. You think I would be pressured by your half-assed threats? I'm not afraid of the Government, I'll be afraid of you?"
Zeus chuckled and said "Unfortunately for you, I'm in a bad fucking mood today. So I'll give you a chance to correct your fucking attitude. I don't care if you're a Yonko, or that you were a part of some famous pirate crew a long time ago. You either treat me with respect or you pay the price."
Zeus sneered and said "Don't mistake, my words for fear. I have no problem fighting the entirety of Tottoland right now. Yeah, I might die, but I'll drag a good chunk of your kids with me. You choose if you want to pay that price."
Big Mom gritted her teeth as she looked at Zeus and her kids, except Katakuri, looked hostile. The guests, who were still conscious, were stunned. Especially a big bird man and a woman with a white hat.
Zeus pumped his Conqueror's more and pressured the whole party and Big Mom finally managed to squeeze out a smile and say "I don't know what you're talking about Mr. Zeus. If I saw you at the door I would've introduced you myself."
Zeus sneered and took back his Haki as he said "Good enough, maybe work on your acting for next time. Also tell your little angels to stop looking at me, while they still have their eyes." he clicked his tongue and dropped his cigarette on the ground before stepping on it and turning his foot to find a seat.
Big Mom glared at his back for a second before feeling extreme danger for a split second before it disappeared. He quickly changed to a smiling face thinking about the wedding cake she was going to have and the tea party continued on with the guests sometimes giving fearful looks in Zeus direction.
Reiju was stunned directly and couldn't focus, was that the same guy that offered her a chance to escape? He was so domineering! She felt like she had a really good chance to escape if she really did follow him.
Zeus sat down at a table by himself and a woman wearing a panda hat walked over and said menacingly "Want a drink, 'Sir'?" Zeus gave her a bland look and said "Get me a whiskey and then get the fuck out of my face." Poire gritted her sharp teeth and left.
Soon after a whiskey and another glass was placed at his table. A huge woman towered over Zeus and directly threatened "Who are you to speak to Mama like that?" Katakuri looked over and saw Smoothie at Zeus' table. He was bored and used his future sight before his pupils shrank and he disappeared.
Zeus drank from his glass and said "I don't have a habit of looking up when I speak" Smoothie sneered and said "I couldn't hear you from down there shortie." Zeus chuckled an crushed the glass in his hands as he said "I can make you come down to me permanently, do you believe it?"
Smoothie was about to answer, when Katakuri pulled her back and glared at her before turning to Zeus and sitting down at the table. Smoothie was confused and Katakuri said "I can handle it, leave. Tell the rest not to come to this table anymore."
Smoothie glared at Zeus before nodding and leaving.
Zeus sighed looking at the shattered glass, he snapped his fingers and everything turned to dust and he was dried off. He whistled and stretched out his hand, a whiskey bottle fell from the skies and landed in his hand.
Zeus screwed the top off and whistled again, this time two crystal cups fell. Katakuri caught them and Zeus poured his own glass before throwing the bottle at Katakuri, who caught it and poured his own before leaving the bottle in the middle of the table.
The guests who had some underworld connection knew that specific brand of whiskey. It was the most expensive in the world and impossible to buy through normal means, they say it is the strongest Whiskey known to man. Zeus didn't care about the price, it just tasted good.
Zeus drank from his glass before saying "How long?" Katakuri said "6 seconds." Zeus nodded and said "7. What you didn't see was me smashing her head into the table." Katakuri was silent and sure enough Zeus continued "Since you know what I was gonna say, what's your answer?"
Katakuri didn't answer directly and instead said "Why?" Zeus, for the first time since Katakuri sat down, looked at him and said "You're smarter than that. Are you just like your mother?" Zeus sighed "What a disappointment."
Katakuri was silent for a moment before saying "Why would I leave? I have everything I want her-" Zeus cut him off and said "Except freedom." Katakuri choked his words back and Zeus continued "Plus who knows when you'll be the next to have his life taken away from her crazed hunger pangs. You want to live in her shadows all your life? What about when the others find out your not invincible and shun you once again? Your scarf won't help you at that time."
Katakuri's expression changed and his eyebrows tightened as he said coldly "What are you trying to say?" Zeus chuckled and drank from his cup before saying "Listen to me carefully. I couldn't care less what's under the scarf. The fact that I do happen to know is besides the point. Look around you, all these people, all these different races, are they truly real?"
Katakuri couldn't help but taking a quick glance and saw everyone smiling and chatting, Zeus continued "It's all fake. The only thing holding them together is fear, the only thing holding your family together is fear. You see the woman in the white hat?"
Katakuri nodded and said "The Pleasure Queen." Zeus rolled his eyes and said "Yeah, right. She wouldn't be sitting her chatting to small time bosses if she was truly the 'Pleasure Queen'. She's CP0, a gross, disgusting, pig of the government." Zeus's expression changed to disgust and Katakuri was surprised.
Zeus lit a cigarette and waved "They stick their hands in everything.." he paused and chuckled before correcting "Almost everything. Anyway, let's talk about you. What are you still here for really? Worried for your siblings? Definitely not, they're all scum. Is it Brulee? She can come along, I find her abilities to be quite useful."
Katakuri was silent and Zeus continued "You don't really care about Big Mom, you just care about Brulee and want her to be happy. I can arrange that and more, all you have to do is accept. Nothing too strenuous, she works for my information organization and you work for Tartarus directly."
Katakuri grunted and said "A subordinate?" Zeus shook his head and said "All my executives are on equal terms with me, usually I make most of the decisions but everyone agrees with my judgment. If you don't agree you can speak up.." Zeus chuckled and shot a glance at Big Mom as he said "I won't eat you, if you speak your mind. I run a civilized organization, not a barn."
Katakuri was still silent and Zeus waved for him to come closer, Katakuri knew that Zeus wasn't the type of person to resort to sneak attacks so he leaned forward. Zeus cam close to his ear and whispered "I can even make Brulee young again, she can relive a happy life away from here. Maybe she'll even change to being a happy person overall."
Zeus sat back in his chair and enjoyed Katakuri's astonished look. Zeus continued "Who knows maybe she'll find love and be happy instead of being chained up here like an animal. Maybe her appearance will change too, her grey skin color is a bit sad.." Zeus had a weird look and added "I heard her skin was white before, perhaps due to her being unhappy here it turned grey?"
Katakuri looked at Zeus, who shrugged and said "Just saying. No offense." Katakuri almost laughed but waved his hand instead, Zeus nodded and said "My conditions are extremely lax. You can roam around if you want to but I want at least a report every month or so. The only other thing is loyalty and a certain rule that everyone either follows or dies."
Katakuri was curious and said "What is it?" Zeus' tone became ice-cold and he said "Absolutely nothing to do with slaves." Katakuri was startled and felt like he was in an ice box as Zeus continued "I will not condone anything to do with them. If I find you or anyone else doing it, in the organization or not, I will kill them. Understand?"
Katakuri nodded and Zeus smiled as he said "You can think about it, I don't need an answer right now. Oh right, If you're worried about Big Mom threatening you if you do choose to leave. Don't. No one can threaten my people except me."
Zeus had an extremely serious face on and Katakuri felt like he would really fight Mama if she tried to stop him from leaving. It made him think about things, which was, unbeknownst to him, exactly what Zeus wanted. Just a little seed of doubt would easily germinate in his mind after all the events unfolded.
Zeus waved and Katakuri poured the whiskey down his throat before putting the glass down and leaving silently. Zeus smiled and threw his glass into the air, a cloud rolled by and swallowed it up before flying away.
Bege walked in and started roaming around the plaza, occasionally glancing at Zeus in awe, he was hearing everything that happened before he got here. Coincidentally, so was everyone inside. Luffy burst out laughing and the rest paled. Persephone felt bad, she and Bonney were still awake last night when Zeus kissed her in his sleep.
Bonney patted her shoulder and said "It's okay, he's probably mad at himself." Persephone sighed, she still felt responsible. Recently, Bonney has been throwing up a lot and Persephone has been helping her, even during the middle of the night, which was why they were both awake so late and slept in.
Zeus was still pretty angry despite his eventful conversation with Katakuri. Everything he looked at made him more angry, he really hated Tottoland if he was being honest. Not the arc but the actual place itself. Everything annoyed him, especially the singing and dancing objects. He really just wanted to vaporize them.
As he was thinking, a woman sat at his table and rested her chin on her palm, looking at Zeus.
Zeus glanced at her and said "Enamored? Sorry I already have a wife." Stussy giggled and said "Does that matter for a man like you?" unknown to Stussy, Zeus only felt rage bubbling inside him, hearing her words.
He took a deep breath and decided to rip the facade into pieces as he drank from his cup and sneered "To what pleasure do I owe for one of CP0's emperors to visit me?" Stussy's face turned frosty and she said "It seems you have no thoughts about continuing the charade."
Zeus rolled his eyes and said "I liked your flirty personality, it looks better than everything else around here." he looked at a dancing cup and his expression became disgusted. Stussy looked at the same cup and her eyes also flashed disgust but she said "I have no intentions of catering to your likes."
Zeus leaned forward and grabbed her chin extremely quickly, his face was right in front of hers and he looked her up and down before saying "So tell me, Ms Emperor. What's a beautiful girl like you doing in a disgusting place like this?" Stussy's face reddened for a split second before she lifted Zeus' hand to her cheek and put on a pitiful look as she said "You wouldn't mind tell me the same would you?"
Zeus took back his hand and used the table clothe to wipe it as he said "As soft as your skin was, I have no interest in dealing with Government dogs. Though, I assume you know that already. Mind telling me why you actually came to sit at my table? It can't be that you fell in love with my looks? I can understand your love but I can't accept you.."
Zeus sighed as if it was a pity and said with a melancholic look "No sooner met but they looked, no sooner looked but they loved, no sooner loved, but they sighed, no sooner sighed but they asked one another the reason." Stussy, for the first time in her life, was stunned and unable to speak, Zeus continued and grabbed her hand as he shook his head and said "It would be a forbidden love!"
Zeus looked reluctant as he let go of her hand and drank from his cup, giving off an extremely lonely vibe as if his true love was before him but he just couldn't grasp her.
Stussy was in a daze for a long time and Zeus continued to drink his whiskey, not getting drunk at all. It was actually pissing him off. He felt as though the dancing cups would look funnier if he was drunk.
A dancing cup danced near Zeus and that was the last straw. Zeus twitched his fingers and vaporized the dancing cup in it's entirety. Big Mom looked over, feeling one of her homies die, she saw the pile of dust at Zeus feet and gritted her teeth in anger.
Zeus looked up and sneered at her, he rolled his fingers and a lightning arc danced across his fingers. Zeus sneer slowly turned into a crazy grin and he chuckled as he twitched his fingers, shooting a lightning bolt and vaporizing another homie, right under Big Mom's gaze.
Big Mom felt her eyes turning red in rage and Zeus chuckled grimly before turning his head back to his table, with a big grin. Big Mom didn't know how much more she could take, she was about to explode in rage.
Zeus didn't care at all. In fact, he was provoking her on purpose, the more distracted she was by him the more room Bege had to move around. Poor Zeus had to distract two Emperors at once and this little blonde vixen was still in a daze.
Zeus was about to mentally check out when Stussy said softly "Where did you hear that from?" Zeus smirked and said "I came up with it myself, do you believe it?" Stussy was confused, she had never heard it before but someone else had.
Persephone was in a daze, inside Bege's body. She suddenly trembled and held her head, grabbing onto a table to stabilize herself. Bonney was startled and held Persephone saying "Are you okay?" Persephone nodded weakly but still held her head. Bonney was anxious and sat Persephone down before sitting next to her nervously.
Zeus was unaware of this and had a playful look in his eyes as he watched Stussy. He leaned by her ear and whispered "How about you ditch the government and come work for me instead?" Stussy looked at Zeus in disdain and said "Why would I do that?" Zeus chuckled and ran his fingers against her throat as he said "Perhaps if you refuse you might never speak again.."
He cam close to her ears, she could feel his hot breath as he said "Or perhaps you'll be extremely well acquainted with the seakings by the end of the day.." Zeus bit on her ear slightly before sitting back in his chair and flashing a sly grin.
Stussy felt her ears heat up and she glared at Zeus saying "Is that a threat?" Zeus smirked and said "Is it? Tick tock Stussy. Time is running out for you. It would be a real shame for 2 emperors to fall today."
Stussy was startled but before she could speak, Big Mom clapped and said "Time for the wedding ceremony!" Zeus grinned and poured himself another glass, ready to watch the big show.
