"I said, let go!"

Lara struggled to get her hand away from the man again, but her struggle only made him crush her arm even more.

"Ah!" she cried out in agony. Tears fought their way from the corners of her eyelids.

Fear and confusion seized her chest as her thoughts swirled with endless questions. She does not know what she did to make him despise her this much.

All she know is that she's nothing in their eyes, they usually ignore her if they could because of her father's protection. Those who despise Lara couldn't throw insults to her face unless they want to be beheaded by the king. That's how protected she is.

Still, Lara can hear the people talking about her behind her back. She learned in an early age that her people view her as something comparable to trash, a waste of space. Someone who didn't deserve the family she was born into.
