Gabby stood behind a large tree and looked out over the field in front of the music department's building. The new students were still busy taking photos together and their laughter could still be heard clearly in her ears.

Finally, Gabby spun around and crouched down. She propped her fist into her cheek and kept waiting. She waited for a long time, heaven knew how long she'd crouched under the tree.

"Hey," the black shoes were right in front of Gabby. "You're sitting here?"
