Chapitre 40: Chaos
Seraphine went towards the group surrounding the Crowned Princess of the Star Queendom.
"Greetings to her highness, Newly Crowned Princess Seraphine."
"Aster is there a problem here?"
"Um…" She looked intimidated by the noble ladies "no"
'What an obvious lie'
"Come on Aster" Seraphine grabs her hand and leads her away from the noble ladies, she leads her towards the buffet table she was eating at.
"T-Thank you…"
"If they were making you uncomfortable, you should've excused yourself"
Aster just looked down, her face a shade of red, Seraphine shakes her head.
"You can just hang around me and Elinna for the time being, if anyone approaches you and your shy to turn them away just say so, I'll drive them away"
Aster looks up, she then smiles at Seraphine, Seraphine is in awe at how beautiful this person is.
'If she was in our world she'll be called an Albino, but here this is just normalcy for them'
Seraphine smiled at her, she continued eating, Aster fidgets around her, when a noble went towards them.
"Crowned Princesses, Greetings"
"Hm?"
"H-Hello…"
"Would you mind if one of you joined me onto the dance floor…"
"U-Um…"
'Aster became flustered as she is'
"Sorry, but we're a bit busy at the moment"
"Ah…" The noble bow and leaves them.
"You're a bit of a pushover are you?"
"I'm sorry"
"No need to apologise, just be careful of the intentions of the people around you"

"What were those noble girls saying to you earlier?"
"..."
"If you don't mind me asking of course"
"T-Thay s-said, t-that I shouldn't b-be crowned princess, of m-my Queendom…"
"Are they serious?!"

"Your highness?"
"Take care of Aster for a sec"

Seraphine went to the group of noble ladies confronting them with a smile but with a dark aura.
"I wanted to ask you"
"Yes, your highness?"
"What were you all saying to Aster, earlier?"
"..."
The noble ladies looked at each other with nervous expressions, one of them spoke with an awkward smile.
"We just asked her a few questions…"
"And what were those questions?"
"We were asking about her, dress that's it"
"She told me that you were saying, she shouldn't be Crowned Princess of her Queendom" They flinch at Seraphine's words.
"We wouldn't dare…"
"Then are you saying she is lying?"
"N-No…!"
"I cannot believe you have the shameless audacity to say that to another Queendom, Crowned Princess, I wish you out of the Palace immediately"
"Your highness!"
The noble ladies parent came forward towards Seraphine with a pale look on their faces.
"We apologise for our daughter's insolence"
"I want them to apologise to the Crowned Princess herself"
"O-Of course"
The noble daughters' expressions turned into dread for if they make the wrong move their families reputation will be tarnished, especially in the presence of the newly Crowned Princess.
"Aster" Seraphine called out.
Seraphine took everyone's attention inside the Grand Ballroom, Aster was looking down walking towards her.
"Apologise to her"
The family of the noble ladies, as well as them, apologised in unison. Aster just nods, but Seraphine looked unsatisfied, she crossed her arms and glared at them.
"Now…" Seraphine says "for everyone seeing this right now, I want this to be a reminder, you cannot slander any royalties in a neighbouring Monarch, or harass them in any kind of way, you will be met with a proper punishment"
'What the hell am I even saying? I'm not familiar with this kind of thing, so I'm just saying what's on my mind.' Seraphine thought.
"Now guards!"
"Huh?" The family that apologised was surprised, looking up towards Seraphine from bowing.
"Escort the family out and make sure that they do not step inside the palace walls ever again"
"But your highness!"
The guards immediately complied and pulled them away, after they were out of the Ballroom the nobles that witnessed what happened applauded Seraphine's act of Chivalry.
"Sister!"
Aster's two siblings ran towards their elder sibling, they asked if she was alright in which she nodded.
"Thank you for defending our Sister," the little girl said
"She's very timid and a bit of a pushover, but she's very nice, the only problem is she has a bit of stutter when she speaks." The little boy said.
"Y-You did not have t-to do that, C-Crowned Princess…"
"No, It's my pleasure to defend an ally of the Empire, and they were being totally rude, so it's fine."
"T-Thank y-you" Aster blushes.
"You are so cute!" Seraphine cheered, smiling at Aster, she blushed even more.
"She is"
"We'll take care of our elder sister"
"Ah…" Seraphine's stomach rumbled "Yeah...I need to go to the toilet as well, It was nice meeting you, please excuse me."
Seraphine smiles at them, and they nod, Elinna follows Seraphine.
"She will be a great Queen someday."
"Layla, do not read into her Star" Abel scolded.
"Sorry"
"Let's go to where our Knights are," Abel says.
"Come On big sister." Aster nods, she lets them lead.
-Sun Palace: Royal Waiting Room-
Kristopherson arrives at where the Emperor is calling him, the Knights open the room, and he walks in, the other royals are waiting for him.
"Welcome, my boy"
"Greetings to everyone"
"Take a seat"
He sits down while Chancellor Luke stands beside him. Emperor Cailum smiles at all of them.
"First, I want to thank you for waiting three days and attending my niece's Coronation Ceremony. I also want to congratulate Kristopherson being officially engaged to my niece."
"It is an honour being part of the Armaclei family."
"We welcome you, but of course you need to be officially married for you to join the Tree." Cailum chuckled.
"Of course."
"In any case, our situation right now is dire…"
The expressions of the Royals became grim, Cailum's Expression became serious, he then raised a hand and snapped his finger, they were now inside a yellow-orange barrier.
"They are here, and they will attack."
"Is security not enough?!" Queen Maegara exclaimed frustrated
"It is not a matter of security Queen Maegara, it looks as if the enemy slipped through the cracks." Queen Aelisia says.
"Unfortunately they are also one of the nobles that attended." Cailum added, "they are disguised as one of our citizens."
"We need to prepare for the worst." Kristopherson said, "they will most likely target the newly crowned princess."
"They will cause Chaos for certain, but the crowned princess is not the only one that is targeted" Queen Aelisia looked at the Emperor, the others following suit.
"If you fall, the whole Empire will be in shambles." Queen Maegara says.
"Then Aeilus shall immediately take the throne if that happens," Cailum interjected
"We will protect you, your majesty"
"Instead of protecting me, protect our citizens that will be caught in the cross-fire. I can protect myself."
"This wouldn't happen if the-"
"Queen Maegara" Cailum immediately interrupted the sentence she was about to form "instead of pointing fingers, we should focus on the present, and what we are about to do, to prevent the enemy from taking control of this Empire."
"..." Queen Maegara lowered her head
"This Empire became weak because of the lack of the powerful presence of the prophecy, but we are also to blame for just waiting around for it to return in this world, we acted too late, and we suffered for it, even though we are now moving and taking measures to take care of the Empire, it isn't enough, on top of that, we are being targeted by that Empire."
"...I'm sorry" Queen Maegara apologised.
"It is quite alright, we cannot rely on the prophecy for a moment even if it is here, we need to take it in our hands to prevent this Empire from falling."
"Understood." The three royals said in unison.
"All of you must prepare for their attack, they do not know that we already knew of the attack, since my son is working hard being a spy in their Empire, I am thankful that he is working hard."
"Aeilus is a splendid son of yours, Emperor Cailum."
"Thank you." Cailum proudly smiles "now then, you must not be away from the party any longer, it will raise suspicion."
"Please be safe, your majesty."
"The two Queens stand up as well as King Kristopherson, but Cailum told Kristopherson to stay for a moment, while the two high-ranking ladies take their leave.
"I know that this is given already, my son-in-law" Kristopherson grinned at the sudden mention of son-in-law "but please take care of my precious niece, guide her, love her and be faithful to only her."
"I will."
"She will be very stubborn since her personality is taken from Eric, but she will support you all the way if you do the same, I have not bonded with her for a long time, but I can tell that she is a very kind, smart and practical young woman."
"I will not disappoint and break the oath that I have given to her highness and you, your majesty."
'The King is already addicted to her highness…' Luke groaned in his mind.
"My niece isn't like any noble ladies isn't she?"
Kristopherson gave a low laugh, Cailum nods.
"The moment I laid eyes on her, and observed her personality, I know that she is very special and one of a kind." Kristopherson's mind flashed back to when they first met at the balcony of the room she was staying.
When both of their lips touched, Kristopherson craved for Seraphine's voice, touch, scent, everything about her. She is special to him indeed.
'I have chosen a suitable suitor for my niece, thankfully.'
Cailum was about to say something, but the magi-stone lights flickered, Cailum and Kristopherson's conversation had to stop. They looked at each other.
"It has begun."
