Chapitre 33: Reason behind Phoebe's slumber
-Corona Palace-
Emperor Cailum opens the double doors and walks inside the room, he sees Doctor Edgar seated on a chair beside the bed, checking the figure that is sleeping.
"How is she, Doctor?"
"I've administered the serum that I made using the blood of her highness, Seraphine, the day that she offered to give her blood, I injected the serum when it was finally made that night."
Doctor Edgar looks at the face of the sleeping female.
"But there is still no sign of the Princess waking up"
"Phoebe..."
Cailum sat at the edge of Phoebe's bed, looking sullen.
"HE, said, that if my daughter brings back my niece in this world, Phoebe will wake up, since my niece will be able to cure Phoebe's poisoning"
"Unfortunately your highness, it depends on Princess Phoebe, if she will wake up or not, we just need to pray that she will eventually open her eyes, it is a guarantee that she is cured of the poison, you just need a bit of patience, your majesty."

Cailum reminisces about the day, her wife and Phoebe were having tea in the Rosé Garden.

"Yes, Yes of course, maybe tomorrow"
"I think I have taken up your time, your majesty, you must have come here to spend time with your daughter"

"Princess Phoebe's condition stabilised overnight when the serum was injected in her body, specifically her arm, she won't have any fever now, unlike before."

Cailum nods at the Doctor, he bows before leaving the Emperor to spend time with his daughter.
"Phoebe, I wish you would awaken now, I want you to meet your cousin Seraphine, and I also want to thank you for risking yourself in retrieving her here" Cailum squeezes Phoebe's hand.
"..."
"I am also sorry, I have said sorry to you even though you cannot hear me but, I still wish to do so, since it was my fault that this happened to you, and why Rosana died in a gruesome way. I am just thankful that you did not leave me yet."

"I promise you that I will make it up to you when you wake up, you can eat the food you always wanted, you can marry anyone you want, and please have the heart to forgive me."

Phoebe's finger moved for a slight second, Cailum's eyes widened when he felt his daughter move.
"Phoebe?!" He called out "Phoebe! Papa is here, can you hear me?"
"..."
No response.
"Phoebe I'm here, you aren't alone"
Phoebe did not have any movements after that, Cailum gave a pained smile, and gave a soft kiss on her daughter's forehead.
"When you finally open your eyes, I want you to enjoy yourself, you have been in slumber for far too long, be happy, for my sake as well."
Emperor Cailum notices the small music box, he and the Empress gave to the princess when she was just five months old.
The music box has an intricate design, it is coloured posh pink, the design of hearts are hand-carved on it, and a letter 'P' is on top of the music box, indicating the first initial of the owner of it.
"This music box…"
He opens the music box, a figurine of a princess pops up then twirls around inside the music box. He listened to the tune of the music, his eyes becoming watery of the memories in which his wife and his daughter are still alive and well. His son is still by their side, before he assigned him onto a mission when he got a bit older.
"I wish I could relive those memories again."
After the music stops playing he carefully closes the music box and puts it where it was originally placed.
"I love you, my dear daughter."
He says before kissing Phoebe's forehead again, laying her hand on her chest where Cailum grabbed it from before. He stands up from the bed he was sitting, and leaves the room.
"How time flies when you're old."
