Chapitre 7: The Forgotten Brother
Lucianus Armaclei POV;
I am Lucianus Stephen Kleon Armaclei, the crowned prince of the Moon Empire and Seraphine and Forsythia's eldest brother.
I came here in this Vampire world in the year 1851 of fall in the human world while in this world it was the year 3060-X Spring or as they call it here Twilight season, Twilight is spring for them. I came here in hopes to save my sister Seraphine from endangering herself coming into this world.
"The Baron escaped your highness"
"Dammit!"
He slammed his fist on the table gritting his teeth in annoyance. Just then a shock-wave of powerful psych energy could be felt.
"?!" The Knight and the young man looked at each other with puzzlement.
"What was that?"
"Crowned Prince Lucianus! Knights from the Imperial Palace are all heading towards Tree Palm Oasis" A knight out of breath barged into the room.
"Why would the Knights come here?" The crowned prince asked.
"We do not have information since they do not want to disclose anything"
"How many knights are heading towards the oasis?"
"The Army of the Imperial Sun Knights Core and Corona" The crowned prince's eyes widened
"I'm going to have to take a look at what's going on at that Oasis" He grabs his royal cape embroidered with a large silver moon and puts it on "you come with me" he gestures to the Knight that barged in "and you tell Emile that I will be at the Tree Palm Oasis when he returns"
"Understood Sire!" The knight salutes putting his fist at the centre of his chest.
"Let's Go"
The crowned prince and the knight exited the building and hopped on their respective horses.
"HA!"
They lashed their reigns and headed towards the Oasis where the commotion was. The crowned prince had a cold sweat running down his forehead, he doesn't know the reason why.
"Are you alright sire?" The knight noticed his sudden pale complexion.
"In all honesty, I don't know" I truthfully said
The time when Seraphine was born we were all surprised that she was a human child.
My father and mother were especially surprised since both of them were vampires and my mother even though she converted into a human to a vampire she is still a vampire in all aspects already.
I am a vampire that had no complicated anomalies when I was born into this world so was Forsythia and two vampires that are already mated would naturally have an offspring of a pure-blooded one.
But Seraphine is different, everything about her is all human. She has an illness of what was that called? Anaemia, which she lacks red blood cells if I could recall correctly that was what Gabriel said at that time, I don't remember now, since it was a long time ago.
Being human means being frail and weak. That is what I have viewed and observed they can easily die with just a flick of a wrist if not careful. Even though Seraphine had an illness and as I've said frail and weak she had an energy like a normal person would have.
'Protect your sister Lucianus she is special'
That was what mother said, I did not understand at that time what was so special about her; she was just a plain human after-all, but what I did notice was Gabriel was frequenting his visits in our house, always checking on Seraphine.
'Can I ask you why Gabriel is always checking up on you?'
'He told me that my blood is special and it needs treatment'
'You mean your anaemia?'
'He said anaemia but he also said that my blood is different from that, I don't understand'
'Huh'
I was playing a tea party with her at that time in her room, but my curiosity won't stop until it got satiated, by the time I turned into my twenties I eavesdropped on my parents when Gabriel visited again.
'I'm sorry your majesty but your daughter's illness is in-born already'
'I thought it was just plain anaemia!'
'I also thought that, since the diagnosis and symptoms are closely related to anaemia but it's entirely different'
'Different how? Gabriel'.
'She has both human blood and vampire blood'
'Then that just means that she's a halfling!'
'No. As you have already known she's completely human, she is not a Dhamphir in anyways if she was I would've noticed her fangs growing length already but sadly it never grew longer'
'This is the curse of the prophecy...'

'Because of my selfishness, Seraphine is the one that is paying for it'
That was the first time I saw my mother's usually happy and calm face so sorrowful and anguished.
My curiosity went deeper. Why would she show an expression like this? I decided to confront them directly, stepping out of where I was hiding.
'What prophecy?'
'Lucianus!'
'Do you have no manners Lucianus? Eavesdropping on your parents'
'I am an adult already father and I want to know what is wrong with my little sister, what is this prophecy and curse all of you are talking about? You cannot keep me in the dark for any longer'
'...'
The room went silent, father was about to lash out at me when mother stopped him shaking her head.
'He was bound to know Eric, your anger on this is misplaced'
That's when I finally knew why she was special, she had the prophecy's powers and a curse that is a blessing in disguise for others but her, it will forever haunt her.
I protected Seraphine the best I could, My peers even told me that I have a sister complex, always worrying, always with her playing with her even if it was girly they even teased me being a man-girl, others told me that I'm going to become a great husband someday.
My whole attention was just on her because I don't want her hurt or go into this ridiculous idea of having her transported into another world.
But...
House Barnes took notice of her growing powers one day, the man eventually got obsessed with her powers, I do not know how or why he figured it out that my little sister has a power that can destroy or heal, but what I do know is he's trying to take her away from her family, from us.
From me.
My anxiousness grew for her well-being, knowing a grown man who wants your twelve-year-old sister is very alarming. My father and I took measures to keep Seraphine safe but sadly it wasn't enough.
The Leader of House Barnes was just waiting patiently for an opening, how little it may seem, they silently waited until a chance for them appeared.
Mother and my siblings went shopping, my father and I had the feeling of worry but mother told us that everything will be alright.
The number of bodyguards that were hidden in plain sight that will watch them will protect them. She had faith in them. Sadly her faith shattered,
The bodyguards were already a spy from House Barnes, our bodyguards were already killed one by one, our bodyguards being replaced by a body double from house Barnes, and we didn't notice.
That was the day when I was anxious, I felt like something was about to happen, father was also worried and I convinced him to follow their carriage that was about to go home, we did not attend the meeting of the Vampire Council that day because of our fear that the worst might happen it was silly yes trusting
'your feeling of fear'
But this feeling is what led us to save Mother, Seraphine and Forsythia.
But even though we saved them and I got transported here because of the aftermath.
The damage cannot be undone,
Seraphine killed the Leader of House Barnes, the bodyguards that weren't our own were also killed. At a young age and for the first time she saw violence, she saw her little sister and her mother being hurt, she wanted to do something to stop the people hurting them.
And her wanting to act and save them and her raging emotions were the key to unleashing her powers.
I never knew what happened after that. The reason is: when she was about to get pulled into a portal that opened because of the power of the prophecy. The one thing that I thought at that moment is saving her.
A selfless act indeed. I love my sister and I don't want her in harm's way.
"The Oasis is in sight sire"
I lashed my reign harder for the horse to run faster when we arrived and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
"No..."
I dropped to my knees and I felt my eyes welling up.
This cannot be...
What the hell did mother and father do in the human world?! Why am I seeing my sister that looks like she's in her teens?! A human can only live for so long!
"S-Seraphine"
The Holy Beast was conversing about something that we do not understand, but I do not care. I cannot believe that my sister is still alive for all these years, and she is now HERE the one thing that I was trying to prevent and it happened.
"C-Crowned Prince?"
My knight beside me was getting concerned but I did not care. I need to know why she is here, how she came here.
What the hell happened to the human world!
The moment I stood up blinking my tears away was when the Holy Beast cleared out the body of water they were occupying, Seraphine was levitating with a small lion cub in her arms but when they left she suddenly fell forward her front body hitting the surface of the water,
bubbles from her breath appeared on the surface, I rushed towards the Oasis levitating myself coming towards her.
"Crowned Prince! Be careful!"
I Ignored the Knights that were calling out, I didn't care if this blue flame burned me. I just needed to see Seraphine, see if she was okay.
"Seraphine!" I immediately scooped her form and cradled her in my arms,
She coughed a few times "w-why is your face swollen?" I questioned very concerned,
That's when I realized that she was already wet, not from the water of the Oasis but just recently since her hair is wet as well as her clothes, I immediately took my cape and wrapped it around her "you'll be alright, big brother is here" I said my voice threatening to crack
"...who..."
"..." My heart sank when I heard her utter those words.
Who
"Don't worry I'll keep you safe" I carried her in my arms lifting her, thankfully the blue flame did not burn me it finally died down when I was on land again.
"Crowned Prince, Emperor-"
"Seraphine will be with me, tell my uncle she will be in my custody," I told the Commander of the Knights of Core.
"But-"
"Did you not hear me?!" I snarled, baring my fangs, the red in my eyes flashing.
"Yes your highness" he immediately answered
I placed her on my horse before hopping on, I pulled the reins to the opposite direction to head to where I was staying in the Town of Palm.
"Let's return," I said to my Knight
"Hu..." Seraphine's breathing suddenly became shallow which worried me. I checked her forehead by releasing one of my hands from the reign.
"She's accumulating a fever" my expression tightened "when we arrive, search for a doctor immediately!" I ordered the knight that was with me.
"Yes, Sire!"
"Hang On Seraphine!"
