Chapitre 110: Message to the End

Ianin walked off into the plains. His little silverfish wiggled happily on his shoulder. As he went he wondered where he would end up, somewhere far away where he could easily hide. He hated to sit out the fight, but unfortunately he was far to valuable to the Ender Dragon. As he went one last thing occurred to him, Maiguh had no way to know what was happening.

"Enderman," he called out.

One of the lanky black creatures appeared in front of him.

"I have a message for Maiguh," he told it, "its long and needs to get to him immediately, without interruptions. Can you do that for me?"

It nodded its head.

So Ianin explained what Maiguh needed to know. He did so very quickly and not as formally as he might have done in other circumstances. When he finished he told the enderman 'thank you'. It disappeared after that.

Thats when Ianin decided to transform back into a silverfish. He somewhat liked it better then his human form anyways. His not-so-little friend nudged him affectionately.

"We're going, we're going." He was laughing slightly. The silverfish lead him to the nearest cave entrance and they were joined by other happy silverfish. Together the swarm moved farther and father away from the conflict.

The enderman whom Ianin had spoke to carried the message back to the End. Although Maiguh could not leave they still seemed to be able to.

Maiguh had been out in the plains with Elsbeth teaching her about being patron of the End. He had been surprised when she had showed an interest in his life, and happy enough to share it with her.

"I think this one wants to tell you something," she told Maiguh.

"What is your message," Maiguh asked it.

It poured out Ianin's story. Maiguh knew that Elsbeth could not hear it he could not keep his features composed enough.

"What is wrong?" Elsbeth asked him, alarmed.

He shook his head, considering whether to tell her.

She crossed her arms, "we're a team now, so there is no point keeping anything from me."

Maiguh sighed slightly.

"My mom though she was protecting me when she didn't tell me anything too, and look where that got us!" Elsbeth said sounding angry. She then immediately cooled, "my mom did what she thought was best for me. I'm older now, so I'm telling you what I want. I want to know the truth."

Maiguh tilted his head slightly, and saw she was indeed no longer the child he had once known. She had blossomed into a young goddess. He shook his head slightly and then told her.

She went paler as she listened. When he finished she clenched her fists and paced back and forth a few times in front of Maiguh.

"We have to do something." She muttered.

Maiguh nodded, "we are trapped here."

"Can't the Enderman leave?" Elsbeth stopped and looked at him.

"They may," he said.

"Send them to the overworld."

Maiguh smiled gently, "its already done."

"What else then can we do?"

"We are boxed in here, there is no way home until the portals are reactivated."

Elsbeth got a look of resolve in her eyes. "Teach me to use a sword then. If we're stuck I might as well be useful once we escape here."
