"You need more stamina." I shook my head with a sigh, bouncing Len a little higher as he tugs at my hair in annoyance.
"I'm not the problem here! You went too hard... A-anyways... how am I supposed to go to work tomorrow?" Len sighed, slumping against my shoulder in defeat as I laughed and slapped his butt.
"It's fine. I told you to take a break, right? With all the overtime you took, it should be a cinch." I chuckled, recalling the past few weeks where he literally drowned himself in work.
"No, it's not fine! I... I need to work..." He murmurs, though it wasn't soft enough to escape my ears.
... It's Doyle again. Sigh... I knew. But personally knowing and actually hearing his concern are two separate things.
"What's the point of distracting yourself? Wouldn't it be better to just, go?" I sighed, frustrated that I was even suggesting such a thing when I was the one to set the entire problem to begin with.
