Chapitre 144: Sweet and Sour

"How come you're not yet dead?"

Prince Qui stared at her wide-eyed before a grin broke his face and a small chuckle came from his throat. "Ah, because they hate me so much?" 

"Yes," she answered. "And can you please put your attention to this topic first?"

"Is the topic lobster?"

"No."

"Then I can't put all my attention to it." He broke another shellfish and put it on her plate. "Try that, it's really good."

Tianshi Xue tilted her head to the side. It might the only time that he saw the prince enjoying something. Of all the things, it was eating, and shell food at that. She bit the piece that the prince gave her. It had sweet and sour sauce. It was really delicious. 

"Talk to me," she said, feeling like her emotions were finally balanced again. "Why do they treat you like that? Do you know what the second empress talked to me about earlier today? She was asking if you hurt me. She was trying to get me to confess."
