Chapitre 45: question/not a chap
Honestly I'm kind of speechless from a comment I just received, but I need a bit of feedback, from more than one, cos I've got a huge choice to make.
To be honest, I don't feel passion for this story anymore. When I started it, it was initially a joke- to support my friend coming out as trans. Since then, I've moved 300 miles, supported a family of four, that went south, spent time recovering from wounds in the mountains, then went to trade school.
Teacher dipped in drugs, and I didn't want any part, and things went sideways. Aside from tangling with that sort of crowd, and then having to run away from it, there was another bout of homelessness, and then a 1600 mile relocation.
Why are you over sharing, author, what's the point?
I've just grown a lot, in most ways. I know more, I've experienced more, and this story no longer feels indicative of my skill level, or my abilities, or what wisdom I've acquired.
Honestly, I thought to restart it and put it in stores, as a better novel with more world building, etc. but a reader would rather I post the rewrite, which I would be able to update consistently, here. I wouldn't mind that, putting a rewrite here, starting fresh, making this a much better story, and only putting it to stores as a way to support me if people wanted.
But what do you guys think? Any thoughts appreciated. Unfortunately, this story just like the depth that I'm capable of right now and that's why I've been struggling to write it further.
