Chapitre 2: The New Members
Shay is a creator. He carries around a notebook at all times. He calls it 'The Book of Secrets.' Shay created Jess, she was his first creation as he was only testing his ability. He was not expecting the magic from his necklace to be able to actually create a living object. As normally his created drawings are only inanimate objects. However, he was still new to this power, he lost complete control over Jess as she escaped. She was found by an a group known as Project X. An organization that captures inhuman creatures to do experiments on. Many people in the town with powers looked human and hid their abilities. Jess however, was clearly not human. Shay was on the look out for his creation as he knew she couldn't be killed unless her drawing from his notebook got destroyed. Before he went in search for his creation, he tore the page out of his notebook and hide it away from anyone who was out to destroy Jess. He doesn't show it much but she is the most important thing in his life as his family abandoned him for unknown reasons. With the necklace being the only item left behind.
Jess is Shay's creation. Her body consists of nothing but ink. The only reason she's labeled as a living object is her true form, only when she's with Muriel. Jess has no soul, no heart, no feeling, she has nothing inside her body. That was until she met Muriel. Being experimented on for a week or more she was rescued by Muriel. Being in the presence of this stranger was unusual in Jess's eyes. Suddenly something changed in Jess the moment Muriel touched her hand. She felt something. She could feel Muriel touching her hand. The touch actually warmed Jess. She didn't understand until Muriel explained her abilities. Jess grew incredibly protective over Muriel. Any threat aiming at Muriel mostly gets neutralized by Jess. Jess has no feelings toward killing as she is only determined to protect Muriel at any cost. After awhile Jess grew a personality, she was actually blending in with all the other humans around her. She watched how they acted toward one another. She would mimic the humans as she wanted to become one herself. Shay came up with dying her hair to blend in more with the crowd as she was only black and white. Muriel helped come up with the idea that Jess should have bright red hair with unnaturally bright blue eyes. Jess is quite beautiful in this stage. However, when Muriel leaves Jess's sight or is no longer touching Jess, she loses all feeling and emotions. Even her old look slowly begins to form. Her skin seeps ink as she starts slowly decaying into a puddle. At that moment if Shay is no where around while in possession of his necklace, Jess is a walking corpse until she is a puddle of ink. She has no purpose or intentions for anything.
Muriel is a positive aura generator. Muriel always has a cheerful, bubbly attitude toward any situation. She never stops smiling for any reason at all. Some found it scary, while other found it warm and embracing. She is one for loving the sight of people simply smiling and getting along with one another. She absolutely hates confrontation. When one sparks a fight, she uses her ability to end the opponents interest for a fight. Her power is generated throughout her body. Her body can give off waves of positive energy. However, the more people affected by her ability the weaker she gets. She can control as many people as she needs but the more power she lets out of her system the more vulnerable she gets. She is the voice of reason and the brain in the group of five. She's extremely outgoing and incredibly nice and polite. She doesn't have to give off her ability to make people seem to like her. As she is THAT NICE. Her father however, was not a nice man. He was a research scientist, as he experimented on strange 'mutated freaks', in his words. One day she went to his work without permission as she simply followed behind and sneaked inside. She looked around seeing all the experiments her father and his crew left behind. Seeing all the creatures that were dead from all the torture and misery. Even this horrid sight couldn't make Muriel's smile go away. Even if she wanted it to go away it never faded even the slightest. After looking for what felt like a half an hour, Muriel was stopped when she saw an empty room. She saw a black goo moving around in a never ending circle. Muriel opened the door while curiosity got the best of her as she walked up to the ink blob. The moment she poked the goop, a girl slowly crawled out from the sticky liquid. Muriel wasn't scared as she only wanted to help this girl escape. Muriel grabbed Jess by the hand as they both ran out of the horrible place to only come across Shay, the creator.
Mollie is a shape-shifter, not even she knows what her true form looks like. She gives off a cute, childish vibe quite often. However she can be a bad ass whenever she needs to be. Mollie was a part of a family who hid the fact they had abilities as they were living in a location where anyone with abilities would be experimented on. Mollie however didn't understand why she couldn't use her abilities. Having powers is a gift, why not use that gift? Mollie was out by herself when she was looking for a place to be able to use her abilities without getting caught. She was in town when she first encountered a villain. She didn't know what to do as she was still fairly new to experimenting with her powers. Suddenly for reasons unknown the villain saw Mollie as an easy target. Mollie was caught off guard as the villain was a goop monster. She didn't have time to react as it latched onto her body. Without her knowing what was happening her power was activating as she was becoming the monster itself. The villain grew scared as it knew it fucked with someone with the ability to mimic. Quickly escaping Mollie's body, the villain didn't show his face again. However Mollie was left unable to change back into her original form. She grew scared that she would be taken as an experiment as she was in the middle of town in front of so many eyes. Something unexpected happened however. A (short/tall) girl approached Mollie without the slightest hint of fear. Mollie grew scared as she didn't want to hurt this girl. The moment this stranger touched Mollie she felt the dark, evil aura wearing off slowly. Looking down at her hands and body she could see the goop fading away into the stranger's hand. Mollie was left confused but relieved for she had a savior.
Y/N is a power absorber. She grew up with well known parents as they were both the most renowned heroes in her town. However, even the greatest heroes parish. Y/N was left parent less without even knowing. She wandered her town looking for a new purpose when she realized her parents never came back home. That's when she encountered a villain. She knew villains didn't lurk the streets for no reason. This one was looking for a host. She kept a keen eye on this creature as it eventually found a host. Y/N was about to intervene until she saw the girl absorbing the creature's look completely. Even this frightened the villain as it escaped. Y/N's first thought was to capture the villain. That was until she realized that girl still looked like the villain. It seemed as if she couldn't control her own power to simply change back to her normal form. Y/N quickly ran to the girl's aid as she simply grabbed the victim's arms while absorbing every last drop of the slime. Y/N didn't know it, but that day she made a sister. She found her new purpose.
