"Haia, what are you doing here?" asked Fujitora.
"I had a mission nearby when I sensed you guys, so I came to check it out. It seems like I made the right choice to come here."
Laffitte looked at Haia with a smile and suddenly appeared in front of her. He kicked towards her face, but she blocked it. Laffitte then kicked out with his other leg. Right before she could block it, he suddenly made a front flip right over her and kicked the back of her head, sending her towards the other Admirals. Laffitte immediately disappeared from there, but before the Admirals could follow him, he was already back. However, Robert was nowhere to be seen.
"Now that my hands are empty, we can finally start the real fight," said Laffitte with a smile on his face.
Kizaru suddenly disappeared and tried to pass by Laffitte to look for Robert, but he quickly jumped back after sensing danger. He looked at Laffitte, who is still standing in the same place with a frown.
"What use is it to go after Robert? If you kill me you can easily finish him off. So stop wasting time and come at me already."
Fujitora suddenly sent a purple beam into the air. Laffitte looked confused till he saw a red doth coming towards him and becoming bigger and bigger.
"Hahaha, you're crazy!" Laffitte started laughing instead of panicking. "Let me show you a technique that only a few in our crew know." Laffitte aimed his cane upwards at the meteorite. The Admirals looked skeptically at him, not believing that he could stop a meteorite with his cane.
"BOOOOM!!!"
The moment the meteorite touched his cane, it exploded from within, sending debris all around Laffitte. Fujitora used his fruit to protect his comrades and himself. After the rain of debris stopped, Laffitte took off his top hat and did a little bow. "I hope that you enjoyed the little show." But instead of clapping, he got rewarded with three blades coming for his neck. "Such a bad audience."
Laffitte jumped back, dodging all the attacks. But they quickly went after him and started slashing at him again. Fujitora also used his fruit to slow down Laffitte's movements and speed up their own. But even with the increased speeds, they didn't manage to touch Laffitte. It seemed like he saw every attack coming from a mile away.
However, after the continued attacks by three Admirals, they finally managed to land a hit. And after one hit, a lot more followed.
2 hours later, he was filled with cuts all over his body, but his injuries look way better than Robert's. The Admirals didn't get out unscathed either. All of them have bruises all over their bodies and blood on the side of their mouth.
"Can't you just stay still for a second! How is it even possible for someone to move like that? Are you secretly a snake or something?" asked Haia.
"I don't tell my secrets to enemies. But it seems like our fight is over now." Right after, Laffitte said that a lightning bolt fell on top of the Admirals, but they got out of there just in time. Deuce landed beside Laffitte, but this didn't make them too worried. The presence behind them, however, made them want to run back to base.
"Deuce go and tend to Robert's wounds."
"No need to tell me, Ken." Deuce disappeared from there and went towards Robert's location.
"I didn't expect you to come here personally," said Kizaru.
"Why wouldn't I come and save my family? But I guess that you guys don't understand the meaning of family or love. Seeing as you guys turned this village into a battlefield, killing civilians in the process."
"SHUT UP!" screamed Haia. "How dare you say that we don't understand the meaning of Family after you took mine away!"
"Me? I don't remember doing something like that."
"You killed my father 3 years ago! His name was Lieutenant Noburo."
"Noburo? How am I supposed to remember some Lieutenant? Why are you even getting mad at me for killing a weakling? But as they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. And I can definitely see that weakling in you."
Haia suddenly snapped and ran towards Ken. She held her sword above her head. "I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!" But before she could hit him, Ken appeared in front of Laffitte.
"Are you okay, Laffitte?" asked Ken, completely ignoring the furious Haia.
"Don't worry, Captain, I can handle a couple of cuts."
Ken poked Laffite's chest, and he winced in pain. "No need to act like a big guy. Let's go to Robert and Deuce. We should get out of here before more pests come out."
"Yes, Captain."
They turned around and went towards Robert and Deuce, completely ignoring the Admirals. Haia was about to run after him, but she got stopped by Fujitora.
"Why are you stopping me!"
"Calm down. If you let your emotions control you, you'll only drag us down."
Haia looked like she wanted to refute him but decided to stay quiet.
"Let's get above the island and attack them from there. We might be able to wound or kill one of them," said Fujitora.
The other Admirals nodded, and they used Geppo to get a distance from the island. Kizaru pointed both his palms down and shot massive light beams down. Fujitora sent multiple purple beams into the sky, making half a dozen meteorites fall down. Haia supported them with sword slashes.
After a dozen minutes, the small island was completely destroyed. This was worse than even a Custer Call. When the smoke cleared, you could see four people standing on a small piece of the leftover island.
Ken was standing in front of his crewmates with Shusui in his hand. He blocked all the attack without letting anyone of them touch his crewmates. Deuce was already done patching up Robert, who now looks like a mummy. He also patched up some of Laffitte's small wounds.
"Laffitte, Deuce, take Robert and retreat. I'll hold them back long enough for you guys to escape."
Both of them nodded. "We will be waiting for you, Captain," said Laffitte. Deuce then grabbed Robert, and they immediately retreated. The Admirals sent some attacks after them, but Ken blocked all of them.
Ken sent a super fast sword slash that was cutting the air towards them. Fujitora and Kizaru went out of the way, but Haia had a different plan. She stood her ground and tried to block the slash. After she clashed with the sword slash, she got pushed back a little bit but managed to cancel it out in the end. However, that wasn't the only sword slash. Ken immediately sent two others towards her. She managed to dodge one of them, but the other one hit her left arm, wounding it.
"It doesn't matter who I killed. If you want to take revenge, you should throw away that anger. If you're angry, you'll always lose," said Ken.
Haia started screaming and cursing at him, but she got interrupted by a sword in her back. She turned around and looked at Ken with enraged eyes.
"Oh, and don't get distracted by your opponent's words." Ken took Shusui out of her back and kicked her down into the sea. Fujitora and Kizaru won't be able to save her now that she fell into the ocean. "That's one down, two more to go," said Ken with a smile.
Ken got ready to fight the other two Admirals when he suddenly sensed something and sighed. He sheathed Shusui back into its sheath. Ken grabbed a piece of paper and pen from his pocket. He started writing on it, and when he was done, he wrapped it around Shusui's hilt. The Admirals looked perplexed at his actions.
Ken held Shusui in his right hand. His arm got hardened by Haki. He bent his arm backward and got into position to throw the sword, which puzzled the Admirals even more. "Woosh!" Ken threw Shusui with all his might, making it break through the sound barrier. He sent the sword straight towards his retreating crewmates, who were long out of sight.
"Tsk, you dare take my sword, but not let me take yours."
Ken looked at the 5 newcomers with a smile.
