Chapitre 29: What a beautiful place

The car stops after an hour and a half. Jamie stretches her hands feeling stiff sitting for a long time. Ethan rolls his eyes at her and exits the car. Jamie follows him out exiting the car. Once she stands outside, she couldn't help but admire the scenery in front of her. The building site was large, with a secure perimeter to restrict unauthorized access and nestled in the peaceful and quiet area of Lake Side. If the hotel would be fully prepared, the lake will be about 10 minutes from the building as it was decided to create 75 meters apart as per the law.

The site should be in a fully developed area or in the area which has the potential of development. And this site was not that of the developed area but as it did have a potential of development with this beautiful nature it was gifted with. As the selection of the site for this building is a very important and experts job and should be done very very carefully by an experienced engineer. Lots of experts, engineers, and contractors were present on the site busy with their work. The sight itself was very fascinating and they for sure look forward to this 5-star hotel they are building here.

The orientation of the site also has some bearing on its selection. The site is more perfect with the early morning sun and late evening sun being accepted in the building in summer and maximum sunlight is available in most of the winter. This site was all win-win and selecting this site was a proud decision the company took. The selected site of this building is large enough; both to ensure the building abundant light and air to prevent any over dominance by the neighboring buildings, tho it may be not possible having no free land and plot enough for an apartment or hotels to be constructed in coming years.

The residential site is not located near workshops, factories as such locations are subjected to continuous noise. This site was just out of the city area but not that far to not have access to facilities. But the company had decided to construct a paved path that links with the main highway for better access to infrastructures and customers.

Jamie had her jaw dropped at the beautiful site.

"Sir, I am in love with this site. I can't wait for the building to be completed." Jamie says excitedly scanning the surrounding. While Ethan had his eyes on Jamie with a small smile curling up and he was not aware of his act. As Jamie turns to look at him she freeze, she saw him smiling. He frowns with his right brow raised up questioning her behavior.

"Are you smiling?"

Jamie questions making the other widen his eyes. He clears his throat and puts his poker face back. Jamie chuckles observing him. She was shocked how her opinion on him has changed drastically. How she often thought of him as an evil and rude man but all she sees now is a innocent and hurt boy trying to hide under his strong facade. She smiles looking back at the lake.

"Isn't this lake beautiful?" She questions looking at the lake. Ethan replies with a hmm as he was still flustered at what he did just before.

"Sir, If you don't mind can I say something?" Jamie question, Ethan side eye Jamie confused but he gives in "Okay. What is it?"

"You look really cute smiling. Keep SMILING!!"

Jamie shout at the ends and leaves his side scared of his act. Ethan was left behind dumbfolded at her sudden statement or more of a compliment. He blush furiously at the sudden attack of words as it was first time after long he was being complimented by other. But here by his secretary whom he always distance himself. The more he tries to distance himself the more it gets difficult for him to stay away. He felt as if he was bewitched by his secretary.

He shakes his head as a smiles from on his lips. He clears his throat and tucks his dress to make it more presentable and approaches the contractors and engineer working at a distance. As soon as he reach among the group of engineers and contractors, his presence made them turn around to look for him. They all bowed their head and welcomed him with respect.

"So how is the work going on?"

He questions with a professional voice and polite smile which was obviously fake. People believed that was his real smile as none ever saw him smile ever since he started working. The head of the engineer smiles back. "It's going as planned. The layouts had been checked thoroughly so we won't have problem with it. We can start with the work. "

Ethan nods his head. "Glad to know that. Thank you all for your hard work. I hope to see this project become better than we had aspected. I believe in you all."

The workers nod their head feeling proud being praised by the CEO. Soon after the end of the conversation, they disperse into their works. Ethan looks around searching for his secretary who had ran away after that compliment. He eyes finds her away at where their car was. He frowns and makes his way back. Just then a car approaches and halts in front of Jamie.

He approach Jamie and stands by her side. He was aware who the visitor could be. There from the car appeared Mr. Chen with a wide smile. He approached Ethan and extended his hand for a professional handshake which he accepts with a small smile. They distance themself and Mr.Chen examines the site and to say he surely was amazed. He mouth hung open and eyes wide trying to capture the scene in his memory. Noemally the site may not be that eye catching when its being constructed but the lake with dark blue water flowing back and fro, made the site more alluring.

Mr.Chen had no doubt if he did wrong sponsoring this project because he could feel the vibe this site was giving and he sure enough was proud over his instinct and decision.

"I must say Mr. Bryne, this site is really amazing. I have no regrets. I will be willing to sponsor over such sites even in future."

Ethan nods his head happily as he was happy to have a healthy business relation with Mr Chen- who happen to be a powerful business tycoon. He for sure did invested in lots of project and earning good enough that he can live very luxirous life, even his descendants could.

"I am glad you like." Ethan relies. Jamie stands beside her boss and listen to their talks feeling proud at her choice and vision, as she was the one to plan this. Just then, the van from the company arrives and the staffs come out one by one. All were equally amazed by the site.

"Damn! How did I not see this beauty before. I feel disappointment at my sight for site." One of the worker who had disagreed with this project speaks with a complaining tone. He sure was struck by the beauty of the place.

"Yea you are right... This place is beautiful." Another says with his eyes scanning the site.

"I wish I have my house in a place like this." One of the other staff says and other chuckle and laugh at the statement.

"Is it really possible with the amount you earn for now. Don't dream too much that you will fall painfully. "One of the other says mocking at the one who wished to have their house in such beautiful place. All the staffs laughs.

"Boss is there waiting for us. Let's go and greet them. Don't want boss to get angry." The team leader, Mr. Lee says making his way towards his boss. The other follows behind him.
