Sonic couldn't sleep. He tried to, sure, but... it just wasn't working. He turned around, he tried tiring himself out by running around on the walls, he tried everything. But something inside him wouldn't let him sleep. It was a burning feeling. It enveloped his whole body. It started off small, and practically unnoticeable. But it soon grew over his entire body, and it felt like he was having an allergic reaction to or something.
Sonic didn't know what to do as he held his chest. His heartbeat felt irregular. Sometimes it would be way too slow between beats, and sometimes it was way too fast. He was sweating badly. He felt all kinds of wrong.
It felt like the Werehog.
But it couldn't be, right?
Sonic took deep and heavy breaths. But he felt like he was running out of oxygen. That horrible sound that plays in his head when he's running out of breath played. Da-da-da-da-da-da-da... His head was throbbing. Then, the throbbing feeling made its way downwards. Down his stomach, splitting off through his arms and hands. Then, splitting off again at the legs and feet.
"Agh..." Sonic groaned. Where he first felt he couldn't sleep, he now felt he was going to collapse. He held onto the wall for support. He felt like he was convulsing, stretching and squishing in ways he never had before.
It was painful. But the pain didn't stop there. A sharp pain went through his chest like a knife. He immediately fell to his hands and knees as he choked on air. Multiple stabbing sensations made their way through his body. He tried to scream. He didn't care about putting on that damn mask anymore. He didn't care! He just wanted someone to help him.
What if he died here?
Sonic's arms and legs gave out. He fell to the ground, and finally slept.
