The muffled sound of rap music drifted up to the quiet room as Ash walked to a sitting are. He set me down softly on a soft couch facing an empty glass fireplace near the centre of the room and, with a push of a button on a tiny remote on a side table, a roaring blaze appeared at the hearth. Despite how tiny the fire was, I could still feel its warmth soothing the goosebumps on my skin, goosebumps that appeared when the tank top I had on rode up my stomach as I was being carried by Ash.
