Chapitre 65: II. When Women Kill

The silence ended as Ivory and Leech heard the doorbell ring a second time.

Leech told Ivory to keep it quiet and exited the room.

Ivory saw that the room had a narrow window and figured that the person at the front door would buy her some time to free herself and possibly escape. Ivory knew that she was small enough to fit through the window.

Sometimes, Ivory wondered if she was a target because she was small and would struggle against her attackers. Ivory decided that idea was dumb; Leech abducted her most likely because Leech had known her parents, and perhaps they wronged him.

Ivory figured destroying The Blue Dragons would make Leech feel better about himself, and taking the liable daughter of a dangerous former gang member would make Leech feel powerful. Taking her would give him the healing that he needed. Ivory figured that her parents must be alive if that were the case.

"Birdie?" Leech seemed surprised to see her.

Ivory's eyes lit up in interest; this would be her one way out. If she couldn't free herself, Birdie could. She wasn't sure why Birdie was here, but she knew the reason was that Blue wanted her to visit Leech.

"Leech, we need to talk," Birdie puffed, "I've been keeping my eyes on you."

"I didn't realize you had such a big crush on me."

Birdie shook her head as Spike and Honor made themselves known. Leech was confused; he was unsure of what Birdie had meant.

"Honor, Lily, and Spike helped me," Birdie began, "You aren't taking Ivory, Leech."

"We know she's here," Spike crossed his arms. "You better hope Hawks doesn't die from what you gave him. You certainly better hope that Ivory doesn't have a scratch on her."

"This is why you came over here? To tell me not to do what I want? You've wasted your time and breath," Leech replied.

Ivory gasped. Spike, Birdie, Lily, and Honor had found and gathered information on Leech. She wondered why but then realized that Blue probably got a bad vibe from Leech or felt that Leech was hiding something.

Birdie noticed that he has a bag packed up in the corner and wore all dark clothing. "Going somewhere, Leech?"

He smirked. "I'll be gone like the wind; no one will know I was here. As for you four, you shouldn't intrude in my affairs. As for Ivory, since she can help my gang skyrocket, and I'll be bigger than the Blue Dragons."

"That's your plan? To wipe out Blue and the gang?" Honor asked, bewildered.

"You have big dreams, but they're unrealistic," Spike said.

"Why do you want Ivory?" Honor questioned.

"Honor!" came the cry, but Ivory wasn't sure anyone had heard her.

Ivory moved around in the chair, but the rope wouldn't loosen.

"That is my business, something that doesn't involve you," He sneered, "Now, are you three going to leave my home?"

Birdie glared at him and felt confidence fill her, some of it being the mere fact that Honor's right next to her. "I won't let you do this." Leech went to move past her, but she slapped him right across the face. "Do you think you can get away with this? Do you?"

"Oh, I already have," He slapped her harder, and she fell to the floor.

Ivory heard the slap from the room and got nervous. To Ivory, it sounded like Birdie got punched in the face. Spike grabbed Leech, and the men started to wrestle.

Honor ran and went to help Birdie up, but Leech pushed Spike off him, took out his gun, and pointed it at the younger girl, "I don't think so, girly."

Honor stared at him wide-eyed, seeing that the plan wasn't going as smoothly as they thought it would, but what did they expect to happen when facing another very dangerous criminal?

"Stand up!" He ordered Honor, and she stood up with her hands above her as if she was surrendering.

"You should be ashamed of yourself and the crimes you have and will commit!" Honor sneered.

"I should be, but I'm not," He shrugged, and she gasped. "Besides, you aren't any better, Honor. Cut it out with the hypocrisy."

Leech walked over to Birdie, who laid on the floor and held herself with her arms. He pointed his gun at her, "I see that you've set up a conspiracy, and you're trying to get rid of me, but it won't work. I guess I'll have to get rid of you three too."

Leech got closer to her, and Birdie squinted her eyes shut. Tears began to form in her eyes; Birdie speculated that she should have seen this coming. Leech went to pull the trigger, but Spike ran into him full force and knocked him down, the gun falling from his hand and away from him. Spike and Leech had begun wrestling once again as Birdie quickly grabbed the gun and held it with both hands at Leech.

Honor stood in place, waiting for Leech to attack Birdie again so that she could jump on top of him. Leech saw that Birdie held the gun and stopped wrestling with Spike, who got off Leech and smiled, seeing that they had won. Their plan was working.

Meanwhile, Ivory heard the house get quiet and could have sworn that she heard Lily and Harley outside. Ivory wasn't sure and figured that she imagined seeing the two women. Ivory looked near the door and listened, waiting for what would take place.

"Are you going to shoot me, Birdie?" he taunted, "Go ahead, Doll — I'd like to see you try."

Tears came down Birdie's eyes. "You've caused nothing but trouble trying to get rid of innocent people. You're like Roxie, Viper, and Swindle H! Your four are ungrateful bastards! I hope you rot in hell."

Leech rolled his eyes.

Birdie pulled the trigger and shot him in the chest. Meanwhile, Ivory panicked, wondering who got shot and if the person was alive or dead. Birdie and Honor gasped as Leech's eyes widened, and his eyes narrowed.

Honor then took her gun and shot his legs five or six times as he silently grunted. The plan to kill Leech worked. The three made sure that Leech was dead before moving. Then, Honor grabbed Birdie's arm as Birdie dropped the gun along the way.

"I'm going to check and see if Ivory's here," Spike said, "You two wait outside the door."

The three heard Ivory shouting for help. The women went running, but Spike ordered them to stay, and then he jolted down the hallway. He opened the door and untied the younger girl.

"Kid, are you okay?" Spike asked as he hugged her, embracing Ivory.

"I'm fine, thank you. Leech drugged Hawks."

"I know, Hawks is okay," Spike replied, holding Ivory's head.

Ivory and Spike stayed there as Birdie and Honor entered the room. Honor joined the two and hugged Spike and Ivory while Birdie sent someone a text message.

Ivory stood up as Spike ruffled her hair.

"Why did he abduct you?" Spike asked.

"Leech said Blue knows my family," Ivory said, and the four stared at her. "My parents were gang members, and Leech wanted me so that he could destroy Blue and then endeavor his gang."

Honor and Spike shook their heads.

"We're happy you're okay," Honor smiled.

"Is Hawks okay?"

"Blue said Hawks is fine," Birdie replied, placing at Ivory. "Come on — our ride should be here soon. We must leave here, right now!" Birdie instructed.

The gang members didn't think twice and left.
