Chapitre 37: clovers

I was cornered.
In front of me stood six ninja's with nightlights and behind me was a nasty thousand-foot cliff that would probably not be a pleasant tumble. At least there was a slope, so if all else fails I have about a... thirty-five percant chance at survival.
"Just let us take you girly" I didn't look at them but kept my eyes behind me as I took slow steps back to avoid being caught by them. "Bringing you alive was an option".
Being taken is not an option.
"Unless you want to leave in a body back" He brought out his lightning stick to show off its electricity "Because that can be arranged as well" I winced at the sound of it.
"Yeah laugh it up boys, we'll see who's laughing when I dump you at the bottom of this cliff" I snarled.
The odds were definitely not in my favour but I'd at least like to throw them off a bit.
"Okay enough talk, take her or take her spine. Either are fine" Five of them ran up to me, rods out, ready to take me down.
I dodged the first one's jab and slide my foot in between his legs, knocking him off his balance and tripping him. He rolled off the cliff smoothly, screaming all the way as he slid down.
Pussy.
I had to fight off the other three, using my arms to block their attempts at stabbing me with their glowsticks. One got lucky and caught me in the thigh, I let out a jagged short scream and leaned back, just in time to dodge another jab at my head.
I grabbed the guys arm above me and flung him over the cliff. My close proximity to the questionably deadly drop was starting to prove a challenge as I fought the other two off whilst simultaneously trying to keep my balance.
In the middle of defending myself against them, I took hold of one of their arms and used it to electrocute the other one in the neck. He shrieked in pain and I used the surprise of his teammate to bring my foot up to kick his knee harshly.
I then let go and slide beneath the both of them, grabbing both their ankles and taking them to the ground. I jumped to my feet to access my work and before I could congratulate myself I felt a hand wrap around the back of my neck.
Before I could blink I felt electricity spread across my body, and lucky me it was right where I'd gotten injured. My vision darkened as I opened my mouth to let out out a silent scream of agony. The smell of burnt flesh reached my throat and it sickened me to know to was mine.
"Not so much talk now are you bitch" The man spat, his saliva prickling the back of my neck.
I hissed in pain and tried to struggle out of his hold. A loud beep came from behind us and my eyes widened as me and the guy both dived to jump out of the way from the truck heading directly at us.
I writhed in pain on the ground as the sizzling of my now open wound restricted my movement. I felt like just laying there until something caught my eye. The rod that had used to penetrate my back was lying there in front of me.
I looked back at the guy to see that he'd seen what I'd seen and we both started to scramble for it. I was closer which gave me an advantage and as soon as my fingertips wrapped around the smooth cold metal I looked back to shoot him a smirk.
His face paled as he then grabbed my leg which was a shitty idea. I wrapped that leg around his neck and used it to swing myself on top of him. I closed my leg around his neck and watched as he squirmed in frustration.
The sound of a door opening stole my attention for a bit. There Cas was in the car with his hands on the wheel, his face was washed in urgency. I looked back at the man who now smirked in triumph "You don't know what you're getting into going with him little girl" I tilted my head.
"I'll take my chances"
He opened his mouth to speak but I stopped him by shoving the stick in his mouth and pressing the button. His eyes sparkled up as his entire body jolted in shock. I held it there, shoving it deeper into his throat as I narrowed my eyes at him, waiting for him to stop moving.
Eventually, he stopped glitching and passed out... or died I didn't really check.
I let out a sigh and got back onto my feet before turning around and shooting Caspian a glare. "Thanks for the help" I snapped sarcastically. He rolled his eyes.
"Get in the fucking car".
I trudged into the car seat and just flopped into it and before I even got comfortable or closed the door Caspian was reversing the car. "Fuck you Cas" I whined as I slid into my seat and closed the door weakly.
"If we have to run away from more danger that you caused I'm going to lose it"
I ignored him. "Cas where's the rest of the car?" I asked weakly as I began to notice how the windshield had been smashed and the whole front part of the front passenger seat had been torn off "Are those chains?"
We both didn't answer each other but I doubt we were bothered. Lucky for us Cas had chosen a car with what seemed to be a lot of information concerning whatever had just happened. I tied my hair into a hair tied messy ponytail and began to look through the paper.
"What are those?" Caspian inquired as he looked over with one eye curiously.
"I think they're papers explaining our bounty and shit" I mumbled as I glossed through them.
Cas cleared his throat "So what just happened?"
"Hogans a bounty hunter" I explained "I worked a couple of jobs for him back in the day so most of the time I knew him as a boss" I continued vaguely "Oh look!" I shoved the papers near his face and he didn't even glance at them.
"Here's the info to our bounties" Now that got his attention. He swallowed harshly.
"W-what do they say?"
I flipped through my file, glossing over the various written crimes I'd committed "I got a bounty of a million units on my head"
"A million-
"Yeah, it's pretty small compared to yours though" I complained, this made him confused.
"How much is mine?" I blinked.
"Five million units"
"Wow-
"I know right you're certainly not worth that much" I commented.
He brushed it off "What else does it say"
I flipped through his two paged file. It looked pitiful compared to mine of fifteen pages. "It says absolutely nothing about what you've done, which is strange considering you're expensive" I snorted, something caught my eye and I went back to squint at it, "Says here your name is Caspian He-" I frowned.
"What?" He asked.
"The rest of it's smudged" I pouted "I can't see". I snapped his file closed and narrowed my eyes at him "What's your last name?" I piped with interest
"Heraskoff" he answered quickly. "Yours?"
"Topaz" I smiled "Hibiscus Topaz".
He frowned "I thought you said Hibiscus isn't your name".
"It isn't"
He sighed. I could tell her was getting fed up with my vague answers about my name, but fuck me if I give a shit and to be fair I was pretty open to him about literally everything else. Plus I didn't owe him shit.
"How many people do you think want your blood right now," He asked out of nowhere. I thought to myself for a second before chuckling.
"Way too many for my blood to go around equally" He shook his head.
"I still don't understand it" I looked at him.
"Understand what?"
"How the fuck did you get half of this kingdom to want to kill you!?" I shrugged.
"I know right, I'm so lovable!".
