Chapitre 16: Judas' Plan
The white suited man came up to the front desk. Before he could introduce himself Jonathan walked away heading towards the elevator. The door opened up he was gonna pick a random floor and get off there. As the elevator door was about to be closed the white suited man yelled hold the door. Jonathan wasn't gonna do that but then the man caught up in time got into the elevator. Jonathan asked him what floor and he told him the third floor. While waiting in the elevator the man looked at Jonathan saying," hey man what's going on why are you so scared?" Jonathan sighed replying without a hesitation," oh you just look like a guy i owe money to. But clearly you are not so it's fine." The man in white smiled saying,'' There is a guy who owes me forty seven dollars but i don't remember who?" The grin on his face suggested that he had a hidden message behind that answer. He had to have known who Jonathan was and about the fight with fortyseven."Honestly Jonathan I think he was tackless about confronting you. He should invest more time in a roundabout way. Jonathan's wrist began to burn and right before Jonathan was gonna attack they reached the floor and the man walked off without saying another word.
That night Jonathan didn't feel safe at all. His mind raced in many directions," had they really visited his work just to get him upset. What was the goal of whoever or whatever number that was, and their visiting him. Why was he actually at the company? Was he actually working with the white collars?" His mind kept racing through thoughts like that and often found himself repeating the same questions." His phone went off, it was Mary the message read.
You should come over tonight. Judas and I are having a movie night and it would get awesome if you came over to spend time with us. PS bring pizza. Jonathan felt excited it was a little bit of a random thing for him to get but why not. He took a shower cleaning, and ordered pizza. In his new change of clothes he waited about five minutes for the pizza to show up. After he paid Jonathan left with a happy smile he was gonna spend time with Mary and Judas. Jonathan froze when he entered Mary's apartment complex he did not know the actual room number! He had his phone out when he heard Judas running down the stairs. " Ah magic man I want to take you to our apartment. Jonathan followed Judas to the apartment. It was on the fourth floor which he already knew. Inside the building threw off Jonathan's sense of direction. Arriving at the apartment Jonathan looked at the number four hundred and twelve. " huh I'll have to keep that in mind for later." Judas turned towards him and said," What did you say?" Jonathan shrugged," Oh nothing important." Jonathan felt weird "why didn't she greet him at the door. Why hadn't she done it herself?"
Judas opened the door and said," Mommy look who is here!" She turned around and panicked," Oh Jonathan what are you doing here?" At that very moment time froze for Jonathan," Why would she not be expecting me? She sent me a text?" He almost drowned in his awkward feeling of showing up unannounced. Jonathan recovered himself and said," Umm you invited me over here for friday night movie night?" She looked even more confused. Jonathan's gut sank to the floor. He had really just showed up unannounced for no real reason. Before Mary could respond Jonathan said,''Well clearly I was mistaken. I'm sorry for all the problems I may have caused. I'll leave the pizza here for you guys." He was gonna leave when that door shut he would portal hop out of her building. Jonathan turned around having lost all feeling but a mix of shame and despair. He walked towards the door rather fast as he grabbed the door knob he heard,"Oh Jonathan you can stay. I was just not expecting anyone tonight." She pulled out her phone wondering about what he had said. Jonathan turned around saying," ahh it's fine i can leave no problem." Judas looked at the ground and said quietly," I i i invited him mommy. I just don't want him or you to be lonely."
Mary looked at Judas," Judas you don't need to feel ashamed just next time talk to me about this. Jonathan I am sorry i didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I was just shocked to see someone standing in my home. I would've also liked to have cleaned so don't mind the mess." Jonathan laughed," oh let me tell you about a mess. There was this one time I put a firecracker into an apple. It went off and the apple went everywhere. The police showed up and I had weird looks and questions about why my house smelled like gunpowder and apple." Mary had begun to laugh and the two felt the weird tension fade away. Judas sat in between them as they watched a child movie. By the time the movie ended Judas yawned and Mary helped him into bed. Jonathan sat on the couch. He enjoyed hanging out with Mary. His heart wanted to be with her but he knew for now they could just be friends. " After all, a good relationship should be based on being friends first?" Jonathan thought to himself.
Mary came back and asked Jonathan if he wanted to watch another movie. " What. Of course i want to watch another movie. I usually go to bed late on fridays. Jonathan felt a little bad when he said that last part. He blew off a private group chat with his fans he usually had on fridays. He figured DankTheTank would tell everyone what was going on he dm'd DTT about missing the group chat. The two searched through many titles when Jonathan admitted to wanting to watch a new RomCom movie that came out. Mary looked at Jonathan," Wait you like RomComs?" Jonathan was glad the lights were low and said,'' Yeah i do actually. I grew up in a home that had only women in it so I grew to enjoy girly things. I just don't let the world know about that." Mary giggled," Well Jonathan your secret's safe with me. Lets watch this movie. Oh wait one thing first." She went into the kitchen and Jonathan heard popcorn being made. They had some for the last movie but Judas ate most of it. When she came back with a bowl of popcorn she sat right next to Jonathan. His body stiffened up he felt panic as his mind kept thinking," Oh crap did she sit close to me was it for a reason?"
When the movie started Jonathan's one track mind focused on the movie. At some point during the movie Mary leaned against Jonathan and used him as a head rest. She had also wrapped her arm around his, placing her hand on his forearm. When the movie ended Jonathan was about to talk to Mary about what he thought of it. When he looked down he saw that she was passed out. He couldn't help but look at her peaceful sleeping face when he realised her soft delicate hand was holding his forearm. She was squeezing his arm against her holding him down. That made his heart both race and stop. Jonathan didn't want to move lest he ruin this beautiful moment. It was a great feeling. The feeling of someone else's warm body holding onto him was one of the best moments in his life. But she shifted and ended up waking herself up. She sat up fast unwrapping his arm and apologized."Hey Mary there is no need to apologise here. I actually enjoyed the movie and I guess cuddle time?" Mary gave him a hopeful look," You enjoyed me falling asleep on you?" Jonathan agreed without hesitation.
Mary sighed," I know I'm tired but I just wanted to say that Judas is right. I am tired of spending so much time alone. I miss having a shoulder to lean on. I miss not having to make every hard decision. I want someone to help me with all these everyday problems, and someone to keep Judas and me safe." Jonathan wanted to say I will fill that role. But he knew he couldn't. He was stuck fighting a war. She continued," I am also tired of finding men who will leave when they find out I have Judas. Then there's you I am pretty sure Judas adores you. I think I am starting to think I understand why." She leaned towards Jonathan. He froze"Is she gonna try kissing me?" As he leaned he thought his heart was racing before now it's a jet engine! This would be his first kiss. He leaned towards her as well. He felt her breath on his. He wasn't prepared for this. But he was gonna kiss her.
