Chapitre 21: Chapter 20 – The Vendetta

Raiko's POV

A few hours later (again)

After more than five years, I would finally have my revenge. It took a lot of effort, training, and a bit of torture but I was finally there, I had found The Invisible Rose.

I was hiding near their headquarters, waiting for the perfect moment to warp in and take down the most members possible in the quickest way possible.

I had hidden a lot of fingers inside and I was hoping that I would be able to take out a few of them by exploding them, but there were too many unknown factors, so I had to be patient.

I had spotted the nine remaining members, but I couldn't tell which members had which role among the group. Yet.

Finally, I saw the member I was watching going alone in a room, for whatever reason, and, as soon as I closed the door, I warped in and knocked him out.

He had an incredulous expression on his face before he went limp in my arms. I had also activated quirk vision to be sure I had knocked out the good one.

Technopathy (723): Allows user to connect his mind to computers.

Yeah, he's the first members I chose to knockout because he could alert them all very easily with his quirk, and I was trying to be stealthy. Also, I really had to get that quirk someday.

After I successfully took him out I warped out of here, and the second after a disappeared, a bullet passed where I was standing, coming from the floor. An X-ray quirk, maybe?

He must've used his quirk to warn others the microsecond before I took him down. There goes my stealth. To good news is that he probably couldn't send a long message, so it was probably something like 'help'

Still, that one's on me, I should've been way more careful. Wasn't gonna save them, though.

Well, since they already there was someone, there was no point in being stealthy anymore. Now, I needed to take down the warp gate quirk user a fast as I could. Why I didn't I directly do that? Because of the Technopathy guy who would've been a lot of trouble.

I opened a warp gate on the ceiling of the room they were all cautiously standing in and I used Quirk Vision to know all of there quirks, but only the names since I was in a hurry

Invisibe Man (3476)…

X-Ray Vision (745)…

The Mark (3193)… What? It's the same guy that attempted the kidnap me. Looks like his quirk mutated…That explains a lot of things.

Warp Gate (4234)… A, there it is. Let's hope he doesn't have to best reflexes in the universe.

I opened a warp gate leading directly behind him and immediately kicked as fast and as strong as I could, in the back of the head, using steel body and quite a lot of accumulated strength.

If I knocked him out, I won. If he stayed conscious, they would maybe manage to escape and I would need to find them again.

He didn't even manage to react before he was violently thrown at the wall, smashing through it. I don't think he'll get back up anytime soon, and that means I won. It had not even been 10 seconds since I had knocked out the guy with the Technopathy quirk

Now I just have to take down the other members.

Speaking of the others, as soon as they saw the warp gate quirk guy crashing through a wall, they immediately took a defensive stance and got near each other, forming a defensive circle around The Boss. What surprised me is that it was all done in silence, they didn't even need to consult each other. The leader then touched three of them, making them invisible, but it was useless against me since I had heat vision.

A mistake to get closer to each other if you ask me, because it gave me the perfect opportunity to open a warp gate right in the middle of them.

They had obviously expected that, and they immediately attacked the warp gate with guns, blades and a weird laser.

What they didn't expect was for their attack to hit absolutely nothing and, one second later, for a huge explosion to explode in the middle of them, blowing them all back and stunning or knocking them out.

I had simply opened a warp gate and sent a few fingers through it, then made them explode, nothing too complicated. Still as effective as always.

Now, I had a second or to before they recovered from the explosion, and I was going to profit from it.

I opened warp gates and knocked out as many members as possible, using steel body and a lot of accumulated strength again. I only managed to get five of them before the other regrouped, again.

Now, they were even more careful, but they were scared. Everything had happened too fast, it had not even been ten seconds since the warp gate guy had been destroyed.

Finally, The Boss spoke:

"Who are you? Knockout? What do you want? Show yourself."

Obviously, it was completely pointless to try and get me like that, so I answered him in a different way. By opening another warp gate and this time sending a Five Finger Death Punch (remember, it's the special move that sends five flying steel fingers one after another hitting the same spot) to knock another member out.

There were now only two members remaining: The Boss and the Tracker guy.

I warped inside the room they were in and took a good look and them and their quirks.

The tracking guy looked like he was going to piss his pants at any time now, he obviously wasn't the bravest person around and had a look of pure fear and terror on his face.

As for his quirk, I was surprised.

The Mark (3193): Allows user to mark someone by touching them, placing a mark on them that allows user to know of their position at all time, to know of the marked person's quirk and to see through their eyes. Marks will stay until removed, but can only have three marks at a time active.

His quirk had really mutated, that explained an awful lot of things.

On the other hand, the boss was completely calm, as if someone didn't just take down his whole group. But he had something in his eyes, something dangerous. He was still believing that he would be able to get out of his predicament. He wouldn't, and even if he somehow managed to escape, I had several fingers on him.

His quirk was something I expected:

Invisible Man (3476): Allows user to touch someone and make them, and everything on the, invisible for 24 hours. Can only make up to three persons invisible.

It was time to question them.

"The Boss and the Tracker, I have a couple of questions for you two. Each time you answer one of my questions correctly, I'll give one of your group members back to you. Each time you don't answer correctly, one's dead."

Obviously, that was simultaneously a bluff and a lie, I wouldn't kill those members, and I wouldn't give them back. But they didn't know that, did they.

"First, when did the Tracker's quirk mutate?"

The boss nodded at Tracker and he began speaking:

"When I was in prison, there was a trigger dealer and I bought a couple of doses for me and my brother. I took too much and the mutation stayed permanent. I almost died that day, I was overdosing on Trigger. I'm lucky I survived."

I "gave" them back the assassin who had the X-ray quirk and asked my second question:

"What happened to the Shadow quirk guy?"

"My brother died two years ago due to HIV…"The Tracker answered me.

That was…A surprise and I was pretty much sure it was the truth, but it really didn't matter that much.

I gave back another member and knocked out again the ones that were starting to wake up, even if they tried to hide it, I could see it if they were conscious.

"Third question, why did you go to prison all those years ago? I want all the details."

"Tracker tried to kidnap a child to heal me, but it didn't work out, he got arrested. He thought that we would accept him if he managed to heal me, so he targeted a child with parents that could heal me. The idiot obviously didn't think that we could already heal me. The only reason he's even with us is that his quirk is now useful."

This time, it was The Boss that replied to me, and his answer explained everything! I was kidnapped because he wanted to prove himself to them, he went to prison and they obviously didn't give a sh*it about him, why would they? Then, the leader learned that his quirk had mutated and was now invaluable for them, so he freed him and his brother. He was just very lucky.

There were a couple of points that didn't make sense like: How did tracker know that The Boss was injured?

But it didn't matter, I had all the answers I had wanted for the past five years, I was satisfied.

I quickly knocked those two out after they had answered me, and I delivered all the members of The Invisible Rose to the police except those two, but now I was in a difficult situation. I couldn't deliver those two to the police because they had important information about my identity and that they would very probably find a way to escape.

What to do with them…
