Two figures are standing in front of each other at the back of the gym inside the campus. The young man is showing a happy expression on his face, while the young woman is showing a bit of annoyance while looking at him.
Unconsciously, Curt's forehead has beads of cold sweat on them. He didn't know what would happen and how he could explain himself but he knew that if he did not say anything now, she would really hate him.
In fact, he knew that he did not do anything wrong. The misunderstanding between them would surely grow if he did not fix it. Though last time he was really jealous, yet he knew deep inside him that she is not that kind of woman.
"I'm happy that you are finally willing to see me," Curt said with a smile.
"Humph… who was that?" Jenny Mae said with a frown while crossing her arms making her chest bulge a bit.
The eyes of Curt could not help themselves but be attracted to that scene as he swallowed a mouthful of saliva.
Jenny Mae immediately noticed his reaction but did not flinch, though deep inside of her she is smirking at this foolish man. She did not want to show her true feelings as she glares at him.
"Umm… That girl was someone I just helped last night. There was this incident and she was in danger, so…"
"So you acted like her knight in shining armor?" Jenny Mae interrupted with one of her eyes twitching.
"Yes… I mean, no… No… It's just that… how would you expect me to just watch? If something happened to her that would be in my conscience, right?" Curt explained as he walks forwards wanting to touch Jenny Mae's hand.
But she suddenly dodges his hands making the situation a bit awkward.
While this is happening, a person suddenly noticed the two on his way to the gym. Coincidentally, Alan Kane who is looking for Jenny Mae so that the two of them could go to class together noticed her with a man behind the gym, which is on the way to their lecture hall.
When he saw who the man with her is, an angry expression was immediately plastered on his face.
He really hated that guy who has a weak esper power level and deemed him not worthy of Jenny Mae. So he immediately strode towards the direction of the two.
However, he suddenly stopped and tried to listen to their conversation as he thought that there is something wrong with them. Alan would gladly jump in every opportunity to be able to grab Jenny Mae if the two would suddenly break up.
Hearing the conversation of the two, he sneered.
"It seems that the pretty boy is no good. Having women all over the place is no good. Haha… Jenny Mae really dislikes men who are fickle-minded and associates himself with different women." He thought as he leans on the wall while listening to the conversation.
"Alright… then how about Tempest? How would you explain her coming to your house?" Jenny Mae threw the real bomb in Curt's face.
"Ahh… I thought I already told you that she is a special customer in our shop. I… I could not tell you more because of the contract I have with her group." Curt said with a flustered tone.
In fact, Jenny Mae has already confirmed this as she secretly investigated the relation between Tempest and the small convenience store. What she discovered shocked her a bit. In fact, she is now feeling a bit confused about who Curt really is.
She discovers a lot of things about him in her investigation. He seems to be proficient in sculpting, making those supposed to be difficult to create a talisman, a person who is proficient in making mysterious medicine, and a doctor.
Although she is not yet clear about it, yet it seems that the time she met him in the facility he was there as a consultant. Upon thinking at that time, her face reddened, and cursed at Curt for not telling her the true situation at that time.
As she looks at Curt's expression she seems to have calmed down a bit. She could see that he is trying to really appease her anger and that she is very important to him to feel flustered at this time.
"I will forgive you just this time. But I would not want to know that you are flirting with other women. If this happens, then… Humph…" Jenny Mae said as she suddenly turns around and left.
Seeing her leaving, Curt was a bit taken aback and immediately but silently followed behind her.
Meanwhile, on a corner, Alan Kane clenches his fist as his expression turned ugly. He really didn't know what Jenny Mae saw from that guy who looks weak and pathetic. Although that person is good in marksmanship and was able to take down those mutants from before, he believes that it was all due to luck.
Alan Kane just watches the two walk and a slight killing intent appears in his eyes. But he immediately hides it as he knew that it would do him no good.
Curt on the other hand immediately feels the killing intent, although only for a second. He was a bit confused but ignored it as he walks to his class.

At the lunch break, Curt invited Jenny Mae to have lunch with him.
However, who would have known that Alan Kane would see the text message from her phone as he was standing behind Jenny Mae, and as if by coincidence he suddenly invited Jenny Mae and the two girls to have lunch with him.
Loo Crystal and Kathy's eyes light up and immediately agree with him. Jenny Mae on the side could not help but shake her head and agree with the two. She then looks at her phone and texted back Curt that she is not available as she is going to have lunch with her two friends.
Curt heaves a sigh upon receiving a message from Jenny Mae. He feels a bit sad but just lifted his head and changes his expression. He would not feel down and decided to go to the library to read instead.
On his way, as he approaches the path to the library which is near the cafeteria, Curt did not expect to see the figure of Jenny Mae from afar. He saw the other two familiar ladies beside her, but what made him feel a bit gloomy is the figure of Alan Kane. He didn't want to be jealous as he knew that those four are friends for a long time, but he also could not help himself to feel jealous as he truly loves Jenny Mae.
In another building on the second floor, three people are currently also looking at the group of Jenny Mae. Those three people are Meng Jung, Bart Jung, and Leo Melus. They look at the figure of Jenny Mae with malice in their eyes.
"Look at her brother… does she think she is the most beautiful and most powerful esper in school? She's nothing but a b*tch, a b*tch that seduces men and then acted pitifully and like a righteous woman. I really hate that smug face of hers…" Meng Jung said while gritting her teeth.
"Calm down… she and those three girls with her are not the only enemies this time. We also have another opponent… that guy." Leo Melus suddenly pointed in the direction of Curt.
"Huh, what do you mean?"
"That is the guy who beat us up in the infirmary that day. The soldier who left us in the classroom…"
"What? How? How could he be here?"
"I don't know, but I discovered that the fellow has a close relationship with that b*tch Jenny Mae. I guess he is one of her dogs."
"This… what should we do then? That man is not weak at all…"
The three turned quite all of a sudden as they really didn't know how to fight that guy. If they face him head-on then they didn't know if they could fight against him. If they use sneaky tactics, they knew that it would not work as that person might have a connection with the military.
Right now, the military is cracking case after case with regards to terrorism, and this scared them. Plus the guy is a really good marksman, who would know if they would suddenly find a bullet in the middle of their forehead.
This dilemma made the three turned quiet.
However, a person suddenly walks beside them. He is a tall young man with a mature and noble bearing.
"You three seem to be in trouble?" he asked with an attractive smile on his handsome face.
Just like a sun shining on their eyes, the three seem to have been blinded by the young man's smile.
"Ryan… I mean APE President Ryan Amista… I'm sorry for not greeting you…" Bart Jung greeted feeling a bit shocked.
He didn't know why the silent and aloft president of the APE fraternity approached them, but it was really an honor to be in this man's presence.
He is the so-called secret power behind the APE fraternity in school and the one supporting and leading most of the middle division espers. This guy in front of them is considered a legend in their school. He has achieved so many accomplishments to raise the name of Kor City Esper College in KOSAGE province. So being in front of such a person is really an honor for the three.
Even though they belong to rich families, they still could not hold a candle in front of this guy.
"Haha… you three are a bit stiff. We are schoolmates after all... so, just relax. So I heard that you three are planning something dangerous? I hope that it would not cause trouble for the school…" Ryan Amista said with a slight smile.
The three immediately stiffen as they did not expect that they would be found out. And the worst this is that the one who found them is the president of the famous APE fraternity.
"Haha… alright, I will not pressure you three. I will suggest something but I hope that you three would follow this by the letter. If you do so, then you can have your revenge, and I can discover my goal but no one would be hurt. Do you agree?" Ryan said his expression turning serious.
With a gulp, the three subconsciously nodded their heads in agreement.
The three follow Ryan as they left with him. Meanwhile, Ryan shifted his gaze towards Curt's direction and an evil smile appears on his face.
Meanwhile, Curt feels a strange shiver running down his spine as he continues walking towards the library. But suddenly he stops as a familiar young woman stood on his path. And on her cute face is a beautiful yet teasing smile.
