So long. So damn boring.
She let out a sigh with her fingers drumming against the curved arm of the chair and watched her father laughed with his sharp teeth. The lower demon trembled from where it bowed with its head pressed to the ground begging for mercy.
"Pathetic!" His voice boomed bouncing off the black walls making many demons stand in alert.
"Father," Eve spoke up and all eyes fell onto her, "There is no point wasting your power on him."
"You wish for him to live," Her father tilted his head.
"I only wish for this to be done," Eve admitted looking over at her father's true form.
Horns thick and curving upward, skin as dark as coal with the glow of the burning fire underneath, and his body was larger than those watching them. The epitome of an intimidating demon he carried for all to see.
"Since your Queen spoke on your behalf, you may go but understand that if you fail me again, I will not hesitate to kill you and your family."
"Thank you, thank you," the lower demon stood up quickly and rushed out of the large opened door.
Eve stood up, but her father pulled her to him grinning madly.
"Don't ever speak out of line again," He whispered against her ear and pulled away when a couple succubus sauntered to him.
"My Lord," they greeted wrapping their arms around him fluttering their wings, "So handsome and strong. A true King."
Eve rolled her eyes and crossed her arms at the display of demons wishing to kiss her father's feet like starving kittens. Turning and walking pass the higher ranking demons, one dared to speak up.
"Queen Eve," Eurynome spoke up with a curve to his lips, "How are you enjoying it in Hell? To your liking I assume?"
She flipped her hair over her shoulder and sent her own smile.
"Are you hungry again? Have I not given you enough corpse to satisfy you for centuries?" Eve turned and continued her path out of the throne room only to be stopped by Samael.
"Queen of all Hell," he called out, "You've been here for a few days and yet, you are tired."
"Does it concern you, Demon of Death?" She questioned with a hand on her hip, "I am sure you wish for me to leave as well."
Samael's lips split his face as he came closer to her. Skin as radiant as the deepest violet and claws as sharp as his fangs, domineered her as she stayed in her human form.
"You have brought many deaths, even that of angels," he spoke with arrogance, "And yet here you are. Still alive."
Eve found herself laughing loudly at the abrasive thought of what was said. Does he think she would die easily? She couldn't even if she wanted to!
"You think if they could kill me, they wouldn't already?!" She lifted her face closer to his with her brows dipped, "You assume too much Samael. You should focus more on your plot to dethrone my father."
The demon looked startled and took a step back with a snarl. Eve found herself smirking because it was just an inclination, but his reaction proved she was right.
"How dare you-" Samael growled but pulled himself back as he straightened himself.
"Is something the matter here?" Her father questioned as he stood beside her with a look of anger simmering underneath his golden brown eyes.
"I am merely greeting our beautiful queen my lord," Samael bowed slightly.
"Dismissed," he stated loudly and all other demons in the room left, beside the two succubus attached to his arms.
"Daughter," he stated waiting for her to explain what the conversation between her and the other demon was about.
"Do not worry that beautiful head of yours," she smiled innocently at him, "I am sure you can handle what comes your way."
Her father let out a sigh, "I need you to assist me."
Eve glanced at the females who were feeling her father up with their bodies pressed to him, "Father, it is best you handle this on your own."
Her father frowned and realized where her eyes were looking. Letting out a laugh, he shook the females off him.
"Go to my room and prepare yourselves," he commanded and both succubus agreed excitedly with bright eyes.
"Come," he placed his hand against her back and steered her to another room down the pillared hallway. Once both father and daughter entered, Eve stared at the room adorned with paintings from the human world and offerings from the occult she was created in.
"What is this?" She felt a shaking inside herself, but she felt so stiff and cold on the outside.
"Ah, I keep all from my worshippers," her father stated casually changing his form back into a human one.
'Of course,' she thought and nodded to her father.
"I need you to get the man named Frank to make love to multiple women and get them pregnant."
Eve blinked in that information and looked at her father as if he was crazy.
"You want me to do what? Do you not command those other demons to do something as worthless as this?" Eve frowned placing her hands on her hips.
"Typically, yes," he admitted, "But they are now dead."
"What?" Eve walked toward her father confused, "What do you mean?"
"Those who were sent out for a task by me have neither reported back or have died," her father sat on the red velvet couch crossing his legs, "This has been happening for some time."
"So you wish to put me as bait?" Eve sat beside him.
"Yes," he leaned in, "And kill those who dare rise against me."
"You already know it is Samael," she narrowed her eyes only to wince when she felt her father's hand wrap around her throat.
"Samael is but an idiot. There is someone else who can plan something like this. I want to know who."
The grip loosened and her father leaned in until their nose touched and whispered, "You might even get the chance to meet that angel again."
Eve found her breath stuttered and she swallowed the thought of meeting Adam without any interference.
"Yes," her father grinned noting the calm he felt her daughter was exuding, "Go soon and find the traitor. Kill him and return when you are ready."
"Father, if you dare lie to me-"
"I never said it was guaranteed Eve," he rubbed her cheek, "He may or may not be there. Will you take the chance?"
Eve let out a breath and pushed her father away.
"Fine," she stood up, "I don't understand why you don't just get the answer from Samael."
"Oh darling, you know how I love to play before I eat," he chuckled and stood as well, "Now go make me proud daughter. I have business to attend to."
Eve watched her father leave and she found herself wondering if what her father said was true or if he was worried he would get dethroned. She wasn't sure, but all she really cared for was Adam. Her father had never been in her life before and she shouldn't care.
She shouldn't.
Yet she does.
