Chapitre 47: A CHALLENGE
"Amanda wait!". Breeze was chasing Amanda who was just came out of her house.
"Oh..... Lady Breeze..... Do you need something?". She politely asked her.
Breeze took a deep breath first. Though felt hesitant she still said what's on her mind. "There is something I wanted to ask since last night but I felt awkward".
Amanda can see some hesitation on her face but felt like she have something important she wants to say. "You can asked me anything, as long as it's not our Packs secret I can answer it". She tried to lighten the mood. Though her guts is telling her that it has something to do with Luke.
"It's about your Alpha".
'BINGO!'. Amanda is really anticipating this. "What about our Alpha?". She tried to sound casual so that Breeze would not feel uncomfortable.
"I heard he had a mate and she's an ordinary human". Breeze paused. She wants to see her reaction first when she saw her nodding she continued. "She failed to turn on the full moon, am I right?".
"Yes!". Amanda simply answered.
"Do you think I can challenge her?". Breeze was looking straight at Amanda's eyes and she saw how stunned she was.
"Are you also his mate?". Amanda asked her with a big surprised on her face. On her mind she knows that two mates sometimes emerged at the same time in every hundred years, that's what they believed and now seeing both Selena and Breeze mated to their Alpha, only strength can seize the right of being their Alpha's mate.
Breeze just nod and her cheeks turned red.
Amanda who was dumbfounded at that time simply knotted her eyebrows. She looked at Breeze from head to foot. She thought, she is a better match for Luke than the lowly human.
"Of course you can. It is written in our law. A wolf that can't be mark by his or her chosen mate is open for another mate and if there are two mates, the one can challenge the other". Amanda stated.
"That's a good news but". She paused and looked anxious. "All humans are weak and I feel like bullying them if I asked her to a challenge".
"But it's our law and she can't do anything about it. Unless she yield on her own". Amanda paused for a moment and a faint smile of wickedness formed on her lips. "I heard you are a great warrior yourself in your pack just like me. Just use your power of suppression for her to yield besides your an Alpha's daughter, you also have that". She tap her shoulder for encouragement.
Breeze smiled happily. She thought it was a wise decision to talk to Amanda and asked for her opinion.
"You might be leaving today, would you like to challenge her now?". Amanda feels a bit excited. If Breeze can kick her out of the Village she can also consider it a victory. She'd rather hand Luke to another she wolf than to a lowly human. She will never bow to a human as her Luna. She will never accept an insult like that.
Stronghold mansion.
Selena just got out of the shower. She's wearing a towel on her body while looking on a big mirror inside the bathroom. She was looking at herself and wondering if there's anything change since she became Luke's woman. She looked at herself side by side. Not contented she took of the towel and looked at her naked body.
"Nope!.... Everything's the same!". She sighed. "I still look ordinary but how come he likes me?". She was referring to Luke.
She was brushing her long black hair to the side when she noticed something on her neck. She looked at it near the mirror.
"So this is Luke's marked". She said to herself while smiling.
The marked on her neck is like an insignia on a flag that she always see in the tower and in Luke's mansion. It's like a wolf and a wolf claw holding the moon. She wondered if all the pack would have the same marked like her. She was naively thinking that they are all in the same pack then they may have one type of markings. She's eager to see other people's mark. Her curiosity excites her.
Selena choose a very comfortable clothes in her wardrobe. She was thankful that Avery didn't put too many dresses in her closet. There's also some stretchable jeans, baby tees and cute tops. She chose a dark jeans and a peach baby tee then looked at a life size mirror that standing on her side.
She looked at herself. The jeans fitted perfectly and it highlighted her round hips and so does the baby tee. It hugs her curves nicely. But looking at her chest, she frowned.
"Can you please stop growing?". She was talking to her thirty six cup D twin mountains. She used to hide it inside a big sweater but when she arrived at Stronghold Village she noticed no one seems to care about them and her looks. That's why she chose to dress freely.
She's ready and about to go outside when she saw a cute sweater at the end of her wardrobe. She thought maybe Avery bought it for her too. She tried it on, though a little big and hides her body she was satisfied with her looks.
"Well, this is the real me!".
Selena run downstairs to look for Avery. She wants to thank her for a cute sweater but the servants said she's busy in the study room and told them that she can't be disturb. Selena thanked the servants for the information. She asked them for a pen and a paper. She'll just leave a message for her to thanked her for everything. She handed it to them with a smile and she noticed the servants blushed.
Selena run outside the mansion when a guard came to her and handed her a note.
"Where did this note come from?". She politely asked him.
"From warrior Amanda, Luna". The guard said and bowed before he leaves.
Selena was stunned and wanted to correct how the guard addressed her. She's not comfortable being called Luna because the process hasn't finished yet. She still needs to mark Luke and she knows it will take some time before she can do that Lycandra is still weak. But the guard already left. She sighed then opened the note on her hand.
A NOTE OF CHALLENGE FROM BREEZE
That's what was written in there also in bold form.
"Who the hell is Breeze?". She blurted out. She knows that the note was from Amanda but the challenge came from a person called Breeze. And her biggest question is. 'Why is she asking for a challenge?'.
She read again the note. The challenge will be at the training ground before noon. She looked at her cellphone and saw it's almost lunch. She woke up late and haven't had breakfast yet. She's patting her empty stomach.
"This is so irritating!". She murmured and decided to head to the training ground first and finished the challenge quickly before going to Luke. She was thinking of having a nice lunch with him later.
"I will eat everything in the table for lunch probably including him". She smiled to her lewd thought.
