Chapitre 31: DOGS
Amanda's eyes are full of rage and she's giving Selena a dagger look. She hated the thought of a lowly human replacing her in Luke's heart but the worst thing that Amanda can't accept is, she was replaced as the future Luna of Shadow Claw.
"Can I help you?". Selena asked politely though she tried to ignore the way she stared at her rudely.
"Lowly human... Tsk!".
"I'm sorry?!". Selena was stunned with the woman's words. She doesn't like the way she addressed her.
"She's Amanda". Rice blurted out.
"Shut up your good for nothing pup!". She growled to the child and gave her a warning look.
Selena was stunned and saw how Rice pouted her lips as if she wants to cry. She also gave Amanda a dagger look then look back at the child and hold her near.
"It's okay Rice don't listen to her. The bad O.G. is a little crazy". She whispered while coaxing her.
"What's an O.G.?". Rice innocently asked. She's starting to sob.
"OLD GIRL". She gives emphasis to the two words then look at Amanda.
"You stinking human. How dare you called me old!". Amanda was in rage hearing Selena implied that she's already old. "Do you really think highly of yourself, don't you?. Don't put your nose up high you haven't marked the Alpha yet!". Amanda was glaring at Selena like she wants to shred her to pieces.
"I just need four days". Selena said calmly to her. She can see how angry she is. She decided to make her feel worst.
"Then I will pray hard to the Goddess of the Moon that you won't turn. You don't belong here. You are not our kind!".
"We'll see about that and please don't use Gods for petty things like this. They are all busy helping other people". Selena sarcastically said. She knows they have their own Gods that they believed in and she respect that but using prayers and divine powers for self satisfaction is a no for her.
"You little slut!".
Selena covered Rice's ears. She is too young to hear those 'S' words. "Please there's a child here, filter your words!". She condemned her.
"I don't care about that little devil". Amanda shout and pointed her finger on Rice. "And you too, you fucking whore!".
"What is your problem?". Selena is getting irritated. She don't want a fight but the woman is pushing her.
"Luke is mine and you are just her fucking doll. You can never have him I already conquered his body. I already lick and tasted every inch of him and there's nothing left for you there!". Amanda proudly said. She wants her to feel disgusted and leave Luke alone. She wants to see her cry running.
"That is so disgusting, I really want to puke!". Selena got angry. Hearing such words from her about Luke makes her want to tear Amanda apart. The woman literally slapped her with their past relationship. But she won't let her win, she just need to stay calm. "So your my man's fucking bitch. I'm so sad for you. I believed everyone in this place have a mate. What if one day your mate comes and find out that somebody already fucked you, what will you do?". She saw how Amanda was stunned by her words. 'So she's still hoping for a mate'. Someone inside her said. "I think you should still be proud besides the one who fucked you is an Alpha not some random dogs!". She said calmly.
Amanda's eyes grew wide. She was compared to a dog. "How dare you!.... I'm going to kill you!". She tried to attack Selena.
"Stop!". A powerful voice stopped Amanda. She forcefully kneeled to the ground. Breathing heavily.
"Aaahhhh!..... Stop it please!... I was wrong I'm sorry!". The pain is killing her.
Selena covered Rice's eyes and pulled her into her chest. The little girl hugged her trembling in fear.
"How dare you threatened the Luna!". Drew was very angry. And the pressure of his anger gives Amanda so much pain. "Do you want to be charged with treason?".
Wolves who wants to over thrown or hurt the Alpha and the Luna will be charged with treason and death is the only punishment for it.
"She's not a Luna yet, she's just a lowly human!". Amanda is still fighting back. She will never accept Selena as her Luna even in front of her Beta.
"She's already been marked!". Drew knew Amanda since they were young and he knows how ambitious she is. He never liked her from the start.
"Drew stopped it, she's right. I haven't marked Luke yet. Besides Rice is also frightened by your strength". Selena is patting Rice's back. She's more worried to the child in her embrace who's still trembling in fear than being rejected by a rude person to be their Luna.
Drew was stunned to see the little girl in Selena's arms. Everyone in the pack knows her and she never talked to anyone. She have a different aura in her and every wolf feels indifferent about her. Good thing that her father is a hard working warrior and her mother is a good teacher in their Village. They just ignored her presence for the sake of his parents. But seeing the little girl being so close to Selena makes him wonder.
Luke came back to the pack house in a rushed. He felt Selena was in danger. His rage made the entire place almost collapse.
"Selena what happened?". He asked her as soon as he arrived. He was very worried. He tried to come and hug her but her eyes are full of anger.
"Luke". Amanda's voice broke his attention to his Mate.
Luke saw Amanda laying on the floor. In a matter of seconds his Beta fill him in about what happened through mind link. He got angry. Though she's been his woman for a while she have no right to hurt his Mate. He let out a growl. His wolf is very angry for some reason and it wants to take over and shred Amanda to pieces but Luke tried to take control it. He can see the longing in Amanda's eyes. He knows she loves him and he tried to give back that same feeling before but he can't. He and his wolf rejects her.
Selena who was watching felt hurt. She can see a pity in Luke's eyes. She wants to understand the situation that they were once a lover but it's breaking her heart. She remembered what Amanda said earlier that she will pray for her failure. It scares her the most. She wants Luke to look at her right now but he was busy staring at his past lover. Her tears fall.
"Don't cry Luna I promise I will behave next time". Tears are also falling in Rice's eyes. She thought it was her fault that her Luna is crying.
Luke snap back to his consciousness after hearing the little girl's voice. His heart breaks when he saw his Mate in tears. "Selena I'm". He didn't finished what he wants to say. In a blink of an eye Selena and Rice was gone. Also the plates of white spaghetti.
