Chapitre 24: Chapter 24: Shores of the Silver River
Hong Liu couldn't believe it and she can't stop herself from asking.
"Is this...?" She asked gapping at it.
"Hm," Dong Hai gave a definite answer.
Few sparks of the ambers can be seen on the edge of the cup but Hong Liu was not sure if it is the actual fire or the rays of the sun. Hong Liu tore her eyes from the magnificent sight that put unnerving thoughts in the mind of the looker and look at Dong Hai, who was studying the cup without any expression, no frown because of the heat of the sun nor his eyes blinked or shrink at the glare of it. His expression looks like he was admiring a flower but with the ice in his eye.
"Is the ghost emperor really going to be released?" She asked. She was nervose yet fascinated as she stands behind him.
Dong Hai turn to look at her with a stony face, Hong Liu blinked at him feeling little odd at his reaction.
"Did I...asked something wrong?" She asked in a small voice looking everywhere but not at him.
He steps forward at her, she took a step back unconsciously.
"First Lord is there...is there something wrong?" She mumbles, her chin bowed and her hand raised, curling up on her own chest as he took another step and she took back and he took another making her this time just shrink in her place squeezing her eyes shut as he tower over her and he leaned over her small frame, his sandalwood scent reach her senses making her mind filled with fog.
Dong Hai look at her transcalent skin that was now almost red from her neck to her cheeks, her face was framed by those thread of raven silk that was her hair and she just shrinks under him and her eyes closed, what does she think I will do to her? He thought, his pupil widens as he kept looking at her growing closer and he raises his and touches the strand of her hair, between his index finger and thump. Touch that Hong Liu didn't felt, his dilated pupil she couldn't see and not she saw the softness of his breath or those fingers that whisper something to her hairs. Hong Liu just stands there frozen trying to shrink herself further with a racing heartbeat.
'I knew it she would be an inconvenience' He thought, ice return in his eyes but his hand were still out of his control, those fingers that were just touching the part of her, raise further and slide the pin of her hairs. Making them fall down as the peach blossom falls from the tree.
Feeling her hairs release from there bound, Hong Liu's eyes open in surprise meeting Dong Hai stone ones, blushing.
"The stars of the pin are irritating my eyes," He said with a neutral voice and he waves his hand in front of her face, a blue fog envelops her senses making her fall unconscious. Dong Hai caught her wrapping his arms around her shoulder. 'This will put her in sleep for eight hours' He thought.
He laid her down under a nearby tree and turn to his target, 'Let's see how the Ghost Emperor has been for this long?'
He accented himself to air seamlessly coming close to the cup and raised his hand a ray of blue aura coming from his open palm passing through the rusted golden surface of the cup.
"Who is this?! Who has dared to come close to the blood fire!" A rough cold voice shouted from inside.
"It's me Qiao Yazhu," Dong Hai smirk as he answered.
"Dong Hai! Dong Hai, you wait! I will come out of this seal soon and then..."
"I know, I know of your intention to burn the universe, no need to repeat it," Dong Hai gave a bored sigh.
"Your arrogance will kill you one day!" Qiao Yazhu shouted.
"I hope it was so easy for me to die. Alas, we can't have what we all want right?" Dong Hai give an ironic smile.
"You sound you wish for death, why don't you allow me to do the grace?"He hissed.
"First, you are sealed, you are never going to get that golden chance and the second I don't like you," Dong Hai said with a bored tone.
"Don't worry, Dong Hai I will get out of here, don't you see the lighting ambers, the blood in this cup is mine I will break the seal one of these days and I will be your end!" Qiao Yazhu laughed.
"We will see, as for now...." Dong Hai raised his both hand bringing them together, a dark blue light in a beam comes out of his chest going through his hand, the beams parted on the surface of cup dividing into several ones creating a web around then they disappear in the cup and an excruciating scream come from inside as Qiao Yazhu felt the pure cultivation of The First Lord.
"I am just too lazy to kill you seven times," He landed on the back of the river, the waves started to hit the bank furiously as the wind picked up making Dong Hai's over velvet robe fly behind him as he walks towards Hong Liu.
