Prince Adam arrived inside the Duke residence carrying Cathlen in a bridal style. The Duchess and Duke then saw their daughter state and call for the physician right away.
"How is she?" The Duke asks at the physician inside his daughter's room.
"She is stable now," The Physician answer,
"What happened to her?" Duchess asks Prince Adam with an anxious expression.
"I don't know the exact thing that happened to her, but my loyal guards saw everything and will explain things to us," Prince Adam reply,
"Where are they? We want to know what happened to my daughter now," Duke Thranduil demand,
"Sir Ken and Sir Ben," Prince Adam calls his two loyal guards. Then they get inside in pace.
"Greetings to you, Duke Thranduil and Duchess Aerwen," Sir Ben and Sir Roy greet them in sync.
"This is my trusted, loyal guards, Sir Ben and Sir Roy," Prince Adam introduce them,
"Greetings to you, your highnesses," Sir Ben and Sir Roy greet them.
"Likewise, Prince Adam, mention to us. That you two know what happened to my daughter?" Duchess asks, and they both nod.
"Tell us everything," Duke inserted,
Then Sir Ben and Sir Roy start their explanation of what happened earlier.
"Prince Adam, command us to watch over Lady Vendia and guard her," Sir Ben mentions.
"Yes, and earlier we saw Lady Vendia walking through the town street alone looking at the different food stands, then we saw Lady Cathlen. Walking in pace without looking where she's going, and she bumps into Lady Vendia. After that, she looks at Lady Vendia as if she saw a ghost," Sir Roy explain,
"Yes, then later on. Lady Cathlen cries and breathes unstably. Prince Adam arrived after, then help Lady Cathlen, and that happened," Sir Ben ends the explanation.
"What? That's it? Then how come my daughter is like this?" Duchess Aerwen asks, with doubt in her eyes.
"You both mention that Lady Cathlen looks at Lady Vendia like she saw a ghost?" The physician asks for clarification.
"Yes," Sir Ben answer,
"Well then, perhaps Lady Cathlen's experience shocked and got collapse," The physician mention,
"What?" Duchess got stunned,
"Is there a reason for Lady Cathlen to get shocked when she saw Lady Vendia?" The physician asks,
"Yes, there is, but we are still uncertain," Duke Thranduil responds, then Prince Adam looks over to them with a bothering feeling.
"Okay, if that is the case. I won't ask any further questions related to that. But we have already found the root of this problem. And that causes Lady Cathlen's situation right now," The physician answer,
"So what should we do?" Duchess asks,
"For now, we will wait for her to wake up but don't worry, she is fine," The physician answer, and Duchess nods.
"Thank you for your help," Duke Thranduil mention,
"Your welcome, my lord. I will come back tomorrow morning to check on her again," The physician responded,
"Thank you, let my servant guide you outside," Duke Thranduil reply,
"Oh, thank you, My Lord," The physician answers, then leave the room with the butler.
"I'm sure the wench! Had done something again to my daughter!" Duchess Aerwen raises her voice in anger.
"With all due respect, Duchess, we never lied or disloyal Prince Adam before," Sir Roy defend,
"I apologize, but are you both sure that she did nothing other than bumping on my daughter?" Duchess Aerwen asks, still have doubt.
"Well... we see something else," Sir Ben spoke, and the room went silent.
"What is it?" Duke Thranduil asks in a deep tone.
"Well, Miss Vendia, wipe away Lady Cathlen's tears, and that's it Prince Adam then arrived after," Sir Ben explain,
"Ha! That's it? Are you sure? Unbelievable," Duchess mention, then Prince Adam frown without realizing it as he felt angry towards the Duchess.
"Dear... stop they already told us what they saw, be contented to it," Duke Thranduil mention,
"NO! Something is wrong," Duchess persistent reply,
"Dear... calm down, our daughter is fine now," Duke Thranduil comfort his wife, who felt anxious and angry towards Lady Vendia. And Prince Adam wants to defend Lady Vendia's side, but he stays calm and composed himself.
"I am sorry, I better take my leave now, Duchess and Duke. I will visit Lady Cathlen tomorrow again," Prince Adam stood up into his chair and bowed at them.
"Thank you for today, Prince Adam," Duke Thranduil responds,
"Wait!" Duchess stop him from leaving,
"Dear... what are you doing?" Duke Thranduil holds his wife's right hand.
"You! You're supposed to be my daughter's fiance, but what did you do? You order your two trusted guards to guard Lady Vendia instead! Explain to us why!" Duchess Aerwen force demand,
"Dear, stop it! Would you calm down for a minute? Do you think you being like that would solve anything?" Duke Thranduil raises his voice to his persistent wife.
"I..." Duchess went speechless.
"If this made the Duke and Duchess trust faded, I can't stop it. But I cherish and love your daughter. Excuse us," Prince Adam responds, then leave the room with his two trusted guards.
"Your highness, are you all right?" Sir Ben asks as they walk side by side together through the hallway.
"Yes, I am. You both go back on your duty, and no matter what happened, don't leave at Lady Vendia's side, understand?" Prince Adam mention then the two bowed and disappeared like a ninja.
'Haaa... I can't believe I almost fight with the Duchess because of you, Vendia. So this is what you feel when I accuse you of a sin you didn't even do, is very frustrating and irritating,' Prince Adam thought as he continues walking.
"Hahaha, haaa... I can't believe this is happening to me right now," He mumbles to himself.
