Chapitre 57: 57. The strange sound

The creaking sound of the door awoken the old man from his unconsciousness. He slowly opened his eyes and looked around. The darkness environs around him. He tried to move, unsuccessfully. His hands were tied to the chains. The chains clicked as he twisted his hands. The floor beneath his bare feet felt cold. He raised his head towards the door. The approaching footsteps echoed in the room. He forcefully opened his hooded eyes to look at the person that came in. Unable to hold his head high, he dropped down his head and coughed.

A hand held his face in-between the fingers and thumb. The hand raised his head to face him.

"Good afternoon." A voice said. The voice felt similar to the old man. He breathed then raised his voice to make it audible enough.

"Lycaon?" The old said murmured.

"I haven't done anything. Yet you look half dead." Lycaon said and pulled his face close.
