Chapitre 6: Chapter 6
A few days later the volleyball club started again. The reason why it stopped was because all of us had extra lessons.
When we entered the gym we gathered around for a meeting.
" Since this was the last tournament for the third years we will have to replace their positions. " Ms Yama said. " Daiki I saw you practicing your sets and I decided that you will be the setter. This leaves open spots for the middle blocker and wing spiker position. I won't finalize the team yet as we could get some amazing first years. As for the captain position your new captain will be Tendou Satori. "
You could see the surprise on everyone's faces when she said that. Even Tendou himself had his jaw dropped in shock while pointing at himself. It took while before he got congratulated. I'm glad I made a difference. Before everyone avoided him but due to my interference everyone treats him better now.
" As for the vice captain position. It will go to Hinata Daiki. "
While everyone had varying levels of shock most of them came to realise that it made sense. Daiki made plans which helped them win against strong and go against Kitagawa Daichii for a close game.
" With that being said it's time to start practice" Ms Yama stated with a demonic smile on her face.
For the next few months it was absolute hell. Everyone was pushed to there limits especially me. Ms Yama made me practice my observation skills to the max to spot even the tiniest of details. In addition to that she made me practice everything else as well. My sets were the main focus though. I managed to refine the sets to make them perfect. The thing that improved was my jump serve. I used perfect copy on Oikawa during our match to copy his serves, then modified them to fit my style. After that practiced on power and accuracy for my serves. The training was brutal. On a side note I managed to befriend Oikawa. To know how here's the flash back.
Flash back
It was currently a bright day and I was making one the biggest decisions of my life.
' Do I take the chocolate pudding or do I take the vallina pudding. Decisions decisions. '
Hey this a very serious matter. Anyway after deciding to choose the chocolate pudding i was heading over to buy the rest of groceries. However Oikawa was there too.
'Okay Daiki don't look. As long as you dont look at him he will leave you alone '
" Hey arnt you that player on Teikos team "
' The universe just loves proving me wrong doesn't it.' " Yes I am. Arnt you Oikawa from Kitagawa Daiichi." I decided to talk with him because why not also he will probably annoy me to get answers.
" How did you know which person I was sending the ball to? "
" I observed your teammates and predicted which of them would spike. You I ignored since I couldn't read you."
" I see . That makes me feel a bit better."
We ended up talking while doing our grocery shopping. By the end we exchanged numbers to text each other.

It was now time for the third years to graduate. We said our congratulations to Takou and Hayama sempai who decided on which high school to go to.
After that though me and Tendou decided to go to the arcade. When we got there we played most of the games. However things then became complicated . By that I meant when we met Oikawa here.
Which brings us the scene where all three of us are at a table eating pizza while arguing about anime and stuff. What did you expect? Some tense atmosphere that you could cut with a knife as we stare at eachother. Please we arnt like that.
"Are you kidding me? You dare say that to my face!! " Oikawa states.
" Yes i did just now. " Tendou replies back. " Pineapple on pizza is delicious. Nothing you say can change that Shittykawa!!"
" Ohhh, don't start with me..."

After separating from Tendou and Oikawa I headed home. Once I arrived in the living room I saw Shoyo looking at something.
" Shoyo what are you looking at. " I ask.
" Ahh nii san. Don't sneak up on me like that. " Shoyo replies. " I'm thinking about which middle school to go to but I can't decide. "
" If you want to go to a middle school .... " I then talked about different schools and gave my input.
" Nii san I think I decided. "
" You have.So which one will you go too? "
" I'm going to Teiko."
" Ehh really then that's great. We can be on the same team. Now that's over go call Natsu and clean this up. Once done go choose a movie. I'll go make snacks. "
" Aye nii san."
Shoyo then heads to Natsu room. Both of them come to the living and starts debating which movie to watch.
Currently I'm in the kitchen making some fried chicken. I decided to make Honey glazed fried chicken. First I put 2 teaspoons of salt, 3 teaspoons of pepper, 2 teaspoons of onion powder, 2 teaspoons of garlic powder, 3 teaspoons of paprika, 2 teaspoons of cumin, 2 teaspoons of oregano, and 2 teaspoons of cayenne into a bowl. Then stirred it into a mixture. I took out a bowl filled with 3 cups of flour and added about half of the mixture into it. I then mixed them together.
I took 8 pieces of chicken and put them in a bowl. I added the mixture to the chicken before stirring them so that they become covered in the mixture. I then added 3 cups of buttermilk before stirring again. I then let them chill for about two hours after covering it with a plastic rap. During that time.
" Okay so we decided to watch the avengers movie. " I say. " So what show should we watch after that. "
Shoyo and Natsu started to argue between themselves before I made them shut up and gave a solution.
" Alright since you can't make a decision I'll choose. We will watch gravity falls. This is a good show. "
" Okay nii san. We'll watch it. "
" As long as it has comedy. " Natsu said.
" Okay good now wait for a bit while I go finish making that chicken. "
I headed to the kitchen. Once there I took the chicken that I let chill for two hours and removed the wrapper. I then took out all the chicken to put them on a plate. The bowl which has the flour and mixture was then used as I took a piece of chicken and placed it in the flour and mixture. Once inside a mixed it so that the flour and mixture covered the chicken piece. I then put it back into the bowl with the residue of mixture with buttermilk covering the piece with that and then placing it back into the flour and mixture covering the piece in that again. I repeated the process for the other 7 pieces.
I then turned on the stove heating the cooker filled with oil. I then placed the pieces onto it after the oil reached a high temperature.I then watched the chicken get fried and waited for the dark brown color before taking them out. I then placed them on a plate and added honey on top of them.
I look in front of me and see Shoyo and Natsu drooling while looking at the chicken. We then spent the time, before going to sleep, watching the avengers movie and watching a few episodes of gravity falls while eating the chicken. When Shoyo and Natsu took the first bite they made relaxed faces as if they had been to heaven. All in all it was a good day.
