Chapitre 9: Night School

As soon as the doors were slammed shut Scott started to yell in a panic, "Lock it, Lock it!"
"Do I look like I have a key?" Stiles instantly replied.
"Grab something!"
"What?" Stiles is now yelling back. Scarlett paces the hall behind them, panicking along with the boys. She can't stop thinking about Derek, who is probably dead, and how they are probably next. The three teens are trapped in this creepy school with no plan and a killer Alpha werewolf out for blood.
"Anything" Scott hisses.
As the two boys quiet down, Scarlett finally stops pacing and looks towards the boys as Scott starts speaking, "No, Stiles, don't..." Scott can't finish his sentence because Stiles opens the door and runs out as quickly as he can. Scar rushes to the door, eyes wide and mouth open. Stiles quickly runs to grab the bolt cutters and quickly starts to make his way back to the school. A dark, ominous creature charging after him.
Stiles makes it back just in time. Scarlett steps back so he and Scott can quickly place the bolt cutters into the bars of the door, using it as a makeshift lock. They slowly back away and head into a classroom, locking the door behind them.
The minute the door is shut, Scarlett calls out, "The desk!" The two boys move to push the teacher's desk in front of the door. Only for the desk to make a loud squeal that has all three friends flinching.
"Stop, stop!" Stiles rushes out. They all took a breath, trying to regain some composure. "The door's not going to keep it out." Scott and Scarlett nod in agreement. Stiles continues speaking, "It's your boss."
"What?" Scott asks.
Scar finally speak up, "Deaton is the Alpha."
"No" Scott tries to argue but before he can continue, Scar interrupts.
"Yes. He disappears and that thing," Scarlett throws her hand in the direction of the windows, "shows up ten seconds later to toss poor Derek twenty feet through the air. That's not convenient timing?"
"It's not him." Scott continues to argue.
Scar immediately rolls her eyes and shakes her head, "He killed Derek."
"Derek's not dead. He can't be dead."
Stiles then starts arguing with Scott, "Blood spurted out of his mouth. That doesn't exactly qualify as a minor injury. He's dead. We're next."
"Okay... Just... What do we do?" Scott finally says, clearly upset.
Scarlett sighs as Stiles talks, "We get to my jeep. We get out of here. You seriously think about quitting your job. Good?" He looks between the twins as he talks.
The siblings nod, then the three teens turn towards the window to see if they can spot the Alpha anywhere. "The windows won't open, we're going to have to break the glass and then run like hell." Scarlett says.
The boys sigh at her statement but not being able to think of another plan, they start searching the classroom for something to break the window with. As Scarlett keeps watch from the window, she notices something is wrong, "Hey Stiles. What's wrong with the hood of your jeep? Was it like that before?"
"What do you mean? Nothing's wrong." Stiles replies.
"It's bent." Scar turns her head to look him in the eyes.
"You mean dented?"
Scott looks out the window then confirms, "No, she means bent."
Stiles then walks back to the window to look at his jeep, "What the hell happened to my..."
Glass explodes above their heads, effectively cutting off Stiles' sentence. They all scream and drop to the floor to avoid getting cut by the glass, Scarlett feels someone pull her into them to help shield her head and body from the sharp shards.
When the room is quiet again, they slowly lift their heads up to see what had caused the glass to break. On the opposite side of the room were broken glass and the jeeps battery. Scarlett glances to her side to see Stiles sitting next to her with his arms still wrapped around her body. When he notices her gaze he awkwardly scooted away and coughed, "Uh, are you alright?"
Scar swallows before answering, "Yeah, I'm good. Thanks." She attempts to smile, "Are you?"
He nodded. Scarlett turns to look at Scott checking on him, but his eyes were still frozen on the car battery, though Stiles and Scarlett both know he hear their whispered conversation. Stiles decided now was a good time to stand up, but before he could fully get off the ground Scott spoke, "Don't. He could be right outside."
"He is right outside." Stiles replies.
"Just let me take a look." Scott slowly lifted his head and glanced out the window.
"Anything?" Scar questions. Scott shook his head, "So... Move now?" He then nodded in agreement as the three stood up and scrambled to get out of the classroom.
*_*_*_*_*_*
As they slipped into the hall, the trio nervously drifted forward, unsure of where to go. Stiles spoke up in hushed whisper, "We need to go somewhere without windows... Or at least fewer windows."
Scott paused for a brief moment, realization dawning on him, "The locker room."
They quickly rushed to the boys' locker room and hurried inside. As they pondered their next move, Scott turned to Stiles. "Call your dad."
"And tell him what?"
"Anything. There's a gas leak, a fire, whatever. If that thing sees the parking lot filled with police cars, it'll take off."
"What if it doesn't? What if it goes completely Terminator and kills every cop in sight, including my dad?"
"They have guns."
"Scott... Derek had to be shot with a wolfsbane-laced bullet to even slow him down. We can't put anyone else at risk. Especially Sheriff Stiliniski. We have to find another way." Scarlett speaks up.
"What about Derek's car?" Scott suggested.
Stiles and Scarlett nodded in agreement, "That could work. We go out. Grab the keys from his body. Take his car." Stiles replied.
"And him," Scar spoke quickly. Both boys turned to look at her as she continued, "We can't just leave him out there!"
"Fine, whatever." Stiles rolled his eyes.
As Stiles headed for the locker room door, Scott suddenly stopped him, whispering urgently, "I heard something." They all froze, listening intently, and caught sight of a shadow passing by the mottled glass window of the door. "Hide," Scott whispered loud enough for them to hear.
Frantically looking for a hiding spot, they realized there was none. Before anyone could think about it any longer, Stiles took the initiative and opened a locker door, stepping inside to hide. Scott and Scarlett followed suit, each squeezing into separate lockers. Scarlett held her breath and peered through the vents, trying to see what was happening outside.
A large dark figure walked past her locker, moving towards the ones where Scott and Stiles were hiding. The locker beside Scar's, the one Scott was in, swung open, she heard a scream of surprise. Both she and Stiles stumbled out of their respective lockers to see a janitor standing in front of Scott's open locker.
Scott tried to get the janitor to be quiet, but all the guy replies with is, "Quiet, my ass. Are you three trying to kill me?"
The janitor then grabbed both boys by the shoulder and gestured for Scarlett to follow, "All three of you get out."
"Just listen to us for half a second, okay?" Stiles pleaded.
"No, not okay! Get the hell out of here! Right now!" The locker room door slammed shut on the three of them as soon as the janitor pushed them out into the dark hallway. Not even a minute later, the janitor's face slammed back into the door.
Scott desperately grabbed at the door while Stiles and Scarlett both grabbed his arms, pulling him away. Finally, they took off running down the corridor, trying to escape from the Alpha.
The trio quickly raced through the empty school halls and headed for the exit. As they reach the door and try to burst through, something stops them. Scott peers out the door, that will only open an inch, to see a dumpster in the way.
"The bastard pushed it in front of the doors to trap us in!" Scar clenched her teeth as she ran her hand through her brown hair. The boys start arguing but Scarlett doesn't focus on them. She's trying to control her breathing, knowing that she is on the verge of a panic attack.
Her mind races as she takes deep breaths. She shakes out her arms and starts counting to 10, a technique that she has used ever since her dad left and she started having panic attacks.
When the boys stopped arguing they head down the hall trying to find a way out or at least a place to hide. But as they make their way down the corridor, Scott stops and looks out one of the windows. On the roof across from them, a large figure crouches in the darkness, red glowing eyes staring directly at them.
They all start running, nearly tripping over each other's feet. The Alpha is chasing after them when all of a sudden glass shatters behind the trio as the Alpha crashes through the window.
Scarlett quickly raced down the hallway to her right, heading for the library. As she reaches the doors, she takes a moment to breathe, not hearing anything chasing her anymore. As she stops, she turns around to face the boys, only to realize that neither of them are with her any more. "Fuck." She whispers under her breath.
Scarlett is all alone in the creepy high school with a killer werewolf on the prowl. She quietly groans as she leans against the wall, tears brimming her eyes.
*_*_*_*_*_*
Scar takes in two big breaths as she tries to steady her heartbeat once more. She rubs her eyes, refusing to cry. "Okay Scarlett, think. We talked about going someplace without a lot of windows. We tried the locker room and the was a complete fail." She whispers to herself.
"Where else in this school is there next to no windows..." She pauses before mumbling, "The basement or the pool. Great, never mind exploring the creepy empty hallways, now I need to go the even creepier basement or pool. And I'm alone."
Scarlett takes one last deep breath; she pokes her head out of the library, searching for any movement or sound. When she sees and hears nothing, she steps out and slowly makes her way down the hall.
Trying to decide where to head first, the basement or the pool, she makes her way towards the main lobby, knowing she can get to either location by passing through there.
As she steps into the lobby, she spots Allison, Nate, Scott, and Stiles all standing together. Relief floods through her as she realizes that she is no longer alone. The relief doesn't last long as she realizes that more people are now in danger, and one of those people is her boyfriend.
When the group noticed Scarlett, Scott rushes over to give her a hug. "Thank God, you're alright." He whispers in his twins ear. Once they break apart, Nate quickly takes Scott's place.
"Babe, I know you're mad at me but please stop ignoring me." Nate says.
Before Scarlett can reply, Allison's phone rings. Jackson and Lydia hurry around the corner and Lydia speaks up, "Finally, can we go now?"
But once again, before anyone can speak, an odd rumbling is heard above the group of friends. "Run," Scott says. They all quickly move out of the way, the ceiling panels behind them burst as something falls through.
*_*_*_*_*_*
As the teens make it to the cafeteria, everyone but Stiles and Scarlett start piling tables and chairs in front of the doors. "Scott, wait. Not here." Stiles starts saying, but no one is listening.
Scott speaks to Jackson and Nate, "The vending machine. Help me push it in front of the door."
"What was that? Scott, what was that?" Allison rushes out in a panic.
Lydia is also panicking as she asks, "What happened to the ceiling?"
No one answers as Scott screams, "Just help me!" Stiles and Scarlett keep glancing between the group of scared teenagers and the wall filled with windows. Stiles tries to get their attention again but fails.
Finally, Scar yells to get everyone's attention, "GUYS!" The group turns to face the two teenagers standing behind them, "Great, nice job. Now, what do you think we should do about the twenty-foot wall of windows." Stiles and Scar both move their hands to indicate the windows to their left.
Allison speaks up, "Can someone please explain what's going on? I'm freaking out here and I'd at least like to know why."
Scott doesn't even look at her, unsure of how to respond. Scarlett bites her lip and looks outside. Stiles decides to answer, "Someone killed the janitor."
"What?" Lydia screeches.
"The janitor's dead." Stiles once again states.
Allison, in full panic mode, turns to Scott, "What's he talking about? Is this a joke?"
Scott shakes his head as Scar gulps. Jackson speaks for the first time, asking a question the trio doesn't know the answer to, "Who killed him?"
Lydia starts pacing as she speaks, "No. This was supposed to be over. The mountain lion," she gets cut off by Jackson.
"Don't you get it? That wasn't a mountain lion." This time Jackson gets interrupted as Allison starts questioning Scott again.
"Who is it? What does he want?"
"Why does everyone always think the murderer is a guy? Girls can be murderers too." Everyone turns to look at Scarlett as she speaks, "Right, sorry. Now's not the time." She puts her hands up and pulls her lips into a thin line waiting for someone else to speak.
Allison breaks the awkward silence once more by questioning, "What's happening? Scott?"
He sighs, "I don't know, it's just... If we go out there, he's going to kill us."
Nate's eyes nearly bulge out of his head, "Us? Kill us? Who is it?" His eyes turn to meet his girlfriends, all she can do is shrug and shake her head.
Scott finally answers, "Derek. It's Derek Hale."
All eyes turn to him in shock. Especially Scarlett and Stiles'. Scar's mouth flaps open, she quickly closes it, seething in anger that Scott would blame Derek.
Jackson then asks, "Derek killed the janitor?"
"You're sure?" Allison asks for a confirmation.
Scott nods, "I saw him. He killed all of them, starting with his own sister. He killed the bus driver and the guy in the video store. It's been Derek the whole time. He's in here with us. And if we don't get out, he's going to kill us too."
The group pauses, thinking about what Scott just said. In the silence, Jackson turns towards Stiles, "Call your father."
"No." He replies instantly.
Nate then questions him, "What do you mean no?"
Stiles looks between the two lacrosse players, "I mean no. Want to hear it in Spanish? No. Derek killed three people. We don't know what he's armed with."
Jackson argues, "Your dad is armed with an entire Sheriff's Department. Call him."
Before Stiles can reply, Lydia takes out her phone, "I'm calling." As soon as someone answers she continues, "Yes, we're at Beacon Hills High School. We're trapped in here and we need you to..." She pauses in shock then pulls her phone away. "She hung up on me."
"The police hung up on you?" Allison questions, also shocked.
Lydia nods, "She said they got a tip warning them there would be prank calls about a break-in at the high school. She said if I called again they would trace my phone and have me arrested."
"Then call again." Nate urges.
"They won't trace a cell phone. They'll send a car to your house before they send someone here." Stiles says. The girls start interrogating Scott asking him questions about Derek that he doesn't have the answers too.
Stiles gets in between Scott and Allison when the discussion turns a little heated. "Okay, everybody just ease back on the throttle, all right?"
Scott, Stiles, and Scarlett move away from the others to talk quietly. "Throwing Derek under the bus? Nicely done." Scar says sarcastically.
"I didn't know what to say. I had to say something. And if he's dead, it doesn't matter. Except if he's not..." His voice trails off as he thinks about Allison, "Oh God. I totally bit her head off.
Scar rolls her eyes as Stiles addresses Scott, "And she'll get over it. We have bigger things to deal with. Like getting out of here alive."
"But we are alive. And it could have already killed us. It's like it's cornering us." Scott replies.
"So what? This is a game for it? We're mice and he's the cat? Lovely." Scar stats as she runs a hand through her hair.
Scott sighs, "Derek says it wants revenge."
"Against who?"
"I don't know. Allison's family?"
Stiles comes to a realization as he speaks, "Maybe that's what the text was about. I mean, someone had to send it."
Jackson calls out to the trio before Scott or Scarlett has a chance to reply about the theory, "Okay, assheads." Lydia and Nate both glare at him when he calls Scarlett the name. "New plan. Stiles calls his useless dad and tells him to send someone with a gun and decent aim. Are we good with that?"
No one speaks to disagree as Scott looks towards Stiles and quietly tells him, "He's right. Tell him the truth if you have to. Just call him."
Stiles looks visibly upset, "I'm not watching my dad get eaten alive."
Scar lays her hand on Stiles' arm to give him some sort of comfort, totally oblivious to the death glare Nate is giving Stiles. As she opens her mouth to speak, Jackson charges past the others, "That's it. Give me your phone."
Stiles is forcibly spun around by Jackson, knocking Scar's hand off of Stiles' arm. Jackson tries to reach for Stiles' phone, but before he can grab it, Stiles' reels back and punches Jackson, sending him sprawling to the floor.
Allison rushes to help him, "Are you okay? Jackson?"
At the same time, Scar smiles and turns towards Stiles, "Nice punch."
Stiles reaches into his pocket as Lydia and Allison help Jackson up. He pulls out his phone and calls his dad, "Dad? Hey, it's me... and it's your voicemail. Um... I need you to call me back. Like right now,"
Stiles is cut off by something slamming against the door making Lydia scream. He quickly starts speaking again, "We're at the school, dad. We're at the school."
He quickly hangs up as another bang is heard at the doors. A stack of chairs tumbles down as the barricade starts falling apart. The group slowly starts backing away, "The kitchen. The door out of the kitchen leads to the stairwell." Stiles says.
"Which only leads up." Scott points out.
"Yeah well, up is better than here," Scarlett replies. Another loud boom comes from the door as the Alpha tries to make his way inside. They all bolt to the kitchen, making their escape.
*_*_*_*_*_*
As the seven teenagers run from the cafeteria, they sprint down the empty halls and end up inside of Mr. Harris' Chemistry classroom. Once the door is closed they all press against the wall trying to catch their breath.
Scott is the closest to the door, he slowly leans away from the wall. The creature slowly walks by the room stopping for a fraction of a second, steam from its breath covers the window. Then it walks away, the sound of its heavy footsteps moving down the corridor.
The group collectively lets out a breath, but no one moves. Scott whispers, breaking the silence, "Jackson, how many people can fit in your car?"
"Five if somebody squeezes onto someone's lap." Jackson answers.
"Five? Nate and I barely fit in the back." Allison exclaims, "One more person definitely wouldn't. And that would mean two people are left behind."
"It doesn't matter. There's no getting out without drawing attention." Stiles stops the argument.
There is a steel door just past the teacher's desk that Scott is eyeing, "What about this? It leads to the roof. We could go down the fire escape to the parking lot in seconds."
Stiles points to the door and states the obvious, "But that's a deadbolt."
"The janitor has a key."
"You mean his body has a key," Scar wearily speaks up from her position between Nate and Lydia.
"I can get it," Scott says confidently. Then he whispers something to Stiles making sure the rest of the group can't hear. After they finished their whispered conversation, Scott turns to address the group once more, "I'm getting the key."
"Are you serious?" Allison and Scar speak in unison.
"It's the best plan. Someone has to get the key if we want to get out of here."
"You can't go out there unarmed," Allison replies.
Scott looks around the room then grabs the pointer from the chalkboard, gripping it like a baseball bat. It bends when it moves fast. The rest of the group look at him like he's grown a second head. "It's better than nothing," He tries to defend.
"There's got to be something else," Stiles speaks.
"There is," Scar follows Lydia's eyes, she's looking at the chemical cabinet. "In there is everything you need to make a self-igniting Molotov Cocktail." Everyone gives her questioning looks. "What? I read it somewhere."
Jackson quickly shoves his elbow through the glass. Moments later chemicals are spread out on the teacher's desk as Lydia pours one bottle in a mixture in a glass beaker.
"Jackson, hand me the sulfuric acid." He turns each bottle, looking for the right one, then hands one to Lydia as she pours the correct amount into the mixture.
As Lydia is making the firebomb, Allison and Scott are talking about what he's about to do. Scar understands Allison's panic, Scott is her brother after all and he's about to go out on his own to face a killer. The one thing Scar knows that Allison doesn't is that Scott is a werewolf.
Though that thought makes Scarlett feel slightly better, she also knows that it's not just some random psychotic murderer in the school with them. It's a psychotic Alpha werewolf murderer.
Lydia hands the completed firebomb to Scott as he turns to move the chair from under the door handle. Allison is begging him to stay. All Scott does is look to the group, "Lock the door behind me."
*_*_*_*_*_*
The six teens left in the Chemistry classroom sit lined up against the wall, watching the door. Allison starts speaking, "I don't get this. I don't get why he's out there, why he left and... I can't... I can't stop shaking. My hands," Jackson interrupts, trying to comfort her.
"It's going to be okay."
Allison looks at Scar, "How could you just let your brother go out there like that?"
Scarlett's eyes slightly widen at her accusing tone, "He would have gone no matter what I said. Plus I trust my brother. He'll be fine."
"You're not even worried about him. How are you okay?"
Scar clenches her teeth, "I am worried about him. I'm just better at hiding it than you."
Lydia looks at her best friend shocked by how harsh her words came across; Scar has always been the nicer one out of the two so whenever Scar gets an attitude Lydia knows she's really pissed off. At that point, Scarlett didn't care how she came across, it's been a horrible night for all of them and she just wanted to go to bed.
Nate gently tugs on his girlfriends hand causing her to look at him. He nods towards the corner of the room, indicating that he wanted to talk. They both stood up and walked away from the rest of the group. "I know you're worried, but Scott won't let anything happen to you. I won't let anything happen to you." Nate reassures the girl.
"Nate-"
"I know you're upset with me. And you have every right to be. But I am so sorry that I accused you of cheating. I know you would never do that, my jealousy just took over. I know that isn't an excuse but I truly am sorry."
Scar feels like her heart is about to be ripped from her chest as she debates if she should forgive him or not. Part of her feels like he doesn't deserve her forgiveness, at least not yet, but a bigger part of her doesn't want to risk throwing their relationship away. What they have is something good, and she does love him, with her whole heart.
Finally Scarlett sighs, "I'm not going to lie, I'm still upset. But I forgive you. I hate the fact that you jumped to conclusions but I understand being insecure and jealous."
"I love you, Scarlett. I promise I won't ever be that stupid again."
She attempts a smile, "I love you too. And I'm going to hold you to that promise."
The minute she finishes speaking a loud noise was heard coming from somewhere in the school. All of their heads turn to look out the door, except for Jackson who falls to his knees in pain. Allison and Lydia, who were closest to Jackson, help him up, "I'm fine. Seriously, I'm okay." He brushes the two girls off.
"That didn't sound okay at all," Allison says glancing worriedly between him and the door.
Something catches Stiles' eye, "What's that on the back of your neck?"
Jackson pulls away so the group can't see his neck. "I said I'm fine," He snaps.
Lydia approaches Jackson, "It's been there for days and he won't tell me what happened."
She gets cut off by Jackson, "As if you actually care."
Scar glares at him as Stiles steps in between the couple, "Can we not argue for half a second here?"
"Where's Scott? He should be back by now." Allison questions. They all turn to the door. They can just make out a dark silhouette on the other side. Then they hear something snap.
Allison and Scar rush to the door, "Scott?" Scarlett questions.
"Scott? What are you doing?" Allison asks right after her. The person in the hall starts moving away from the door.
"Where's he going?" Lydia asks us.
Allison then starts panicking once again. She's calling out for Scott and pounding on the door. Until Lydia stops her, "Stop, stop! Do you hear that? Listen."
The six teens pause to listen, they could just make out the sound of sirens coming to their rescue. It was the best sound they heard all night. The group in the classroom all quickly rush to the windows to see the police rush into the parking lot.
*_*_*_*_*_*
Once they are out of the school, Sheriff Stilinski pulls Stiles and the twins to the side to talk. "You're sure it was Derek Hale?" The sheriff questions.
Scott nods, then the sheriff turns to Stiles and Scarlett for confirmation. "I saw him too," Stiles replies.
Still uncomfortable with throwing Derek under the bus, Scar takes a breath before answering, "I got separated from Scott and Stiles at one point. I didn't see anything." She gulps, looking at her feet.
Scott speaks up, bringing the attention away from his sister, "What about the janitor?"
"We're still looking for him." Sheriff Stilinski replies.
"You looked under the bleachers? Under them?"
"There was nothing there, Scott. We pulled out the bleachers just like you asked."
"I'm not making this up."
"And I believe you. I do." Sheriff Stilinski gently tells Scott.
"No, you don't. You have that look. Like you feel bad for me. Like you want to believe me. But I know you don't." Scarlett grabs Scott's hand trying her best to comfort him without words.
"I hear you. And we're going to look over the whole school, I promise."
A deputy calls out to the Sheriff, "We need you here."
"Stay. All three of you."
When he walked away Scott turns to Scar, "Why didn't you say you saw Derek too?"
"I'm just not comfortable saying he murdered a bunch of people. I mean if he's alive he's going to be a wanted killer. And if he's dead, he's going to be remembered as a killer." Scott nods understanding her reasoning.
Stiles smiled trying to think something more positive, "Just think of this instead, we survived. We outlasted the Alpha. That's good, right? Being alive?"
Scott shakes his head, sitting down on the school steps, Stiles and Scarlett following after him. Scarlett was sat in between the two boys and rested her head on Scott's shoulder, exhausted from the night's events.
"We were in the Chemistry room and it walked right by us. You don't think it heard us? You don't think it knew exactly where we were?" Scott asks us.
"Then why are we still alive?" Scarlett whispers.
"Because it wants me in its pack. But I think first I have to get rid of my old pack."
She lifts her head off of her brother's shoulder and raises her eyebrow as Stiles asks, "What old pack?"
"The two of you. Allison. Jackson, Lydia, and Nate."
Scarlett starts to understand what Scott's saying, she shoves her head into her hands, "The Alpha doesn't want to kill us." She mumbles.
"He wants me to do it." Stiles and Scar remain silent at the thought. Scott continues, "That's not the worst part."
Once again Scarlett turns to raise her eyebrow at Scott as Stiles asks the same question that's on her mind, "How in the holy hell is that not the worst part?"
"Because when he made me shift... I wanted to do it. I wanted to kill all of you."
The trio sit in silence for a minute as Scott glances past the officers, spotting someone. Looking up and following his eyesight, Scarlett sees Dr. Deaton, Scott's boss, getting checked out by an EMT.
Scott gets up to talk to him. Stiles and Scarlett follow behind but stay far enough away to give them some privacy. As Sheriff Stilinksi moves Scott away from Deaton he spots Allison and makes his way to her. Stiles and Scarlett stay in their spot waiting for him to come back.
When he reaches the duo he looks miserable, "She broke up with me."
"Oh, Scotty..." Scar rubs his arm gently but can't think of anything else to do to offer him comfort.
Not too long later Sheriff Stilinski gives the twins a ride home. As soon as the door opens their mom pulls them into a hug. "We're alright mom." Scar tiredly smiles as they pull away.
Scott attempts a smile, says I love you and then heads up to his room. "Is he okay?" Melissa's eyes follow him up the stairs.
"Allison just broke up with him. And it was already a long night before that."
Melissa sighs but nods, "Head up to bed. I love you." She kisses her daughter on the forehead then gently pushes her to the stairs. She says I love you over her shoulder and heads to her room. She doesn't even bother changing as she throws herself onto her bed and drifts off to sleep.
