"I won't, damn it!" He raised his head and his eyes flashed with determination. "If I had to spend all my savings on lawyers, even if I have to take a fucking loan, I won't let myself be made a scapegoat. I will win and I will get millions of dollars in damages from the company for defamation and moral harm!"

"Keep it up!"

Skrzynecki blushed. He was talking such nonsense, and yet he drank only one deeper.

"It's really not fair," he sighed. He knew he had to do something about it, but he had no idea what? Maybe he should hire a private investigator before the worst comes to worst?

Whatever, whatever, just not to give up without a fight. He will not give up his future, his life, forfeit.
