"Hospitalized?" The moment that Raeliana asked the question, she hurriedly gave her daughter a glance. Her gaze was urging the lady to fess up about the incident that wasn't made known to her. The woman felt anger, obviously enough, because Syn's sickness was not the sort that could be cured by drinking a pill or two.

As a child, one of the things that Syn had to endure was the implantation of an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) in her heart due to Long QT Syndrome that had signs of Torsades de Pointes, eventually leading to ventricular fibrillation. In essence, her heart had an increased risk of an irregular heartbeat, which caused her to faint and have seizures. Since methods that could be utilized for Arrhythmia Prevention didn't show the result that her cardiologist wanted, they opted for Arrhythmia Termination that involved the implantation of an ICD.
