Chapitre 4: Revelations

"ADAM!" Adam's mother shouted his name.

"Get back here!"

A child sized Adam was running through the halls in their house. For context, Adam was running from his mother because he didn't want to take a bath.

"Catch me if you can!" Adam's childish nature showed itself.

At this moment, Adam still hasn't woken up from his insanity. He has regressed into a child and thus he was like any other kid.

"Come on, Mom! We had a deal!" Replied Adam.

"You said I'll get to do what I want if I get a good score on the aptitude test." He continued.

"I know what I said. But don't you want to get that new Plash Speed 7 instead of not taking a bath?" His mother negotiated with him.

Adam stopped and his mother also stopped. They stood in place to catch their breath. Moments later, Adam smirked and said.

"Dad told me he'll buy it for me on my birthday so screw that." Adam said with a confident smile.

He then immediately continued running and eventually made it outside of their house half naked. At his statement, Adam's mother stood still silently. Until.

"TIM!" She screamed to the top of her lungs.

"Yes dear?" A voice was heard from upstairs.

Tim, Adam's father, was afraid. He didn't want to get down from the master bedroom but he also couldn't make his wife come upstairs as she'll get even more vicious.

As he slowly made his way downstairs. Adam's mother went to the kitchen and began brewing tea.

"Uhh, Jenny?" Not seeing his wife in the living room, Tim said in a confused voice.

"Take a seat, I'll be with you in a moment." Jenny, Adam's mother, said from the kitchen.

"We're gonna have to talk." She continued.

Tim realized he had no way out of this. Jenny was angry because she lost in an argument with her son who was being naughty. The one to quell that anger is, of course, Tim, Adam's father.

Meanwhile, Adam was busy getting himself dirty as he pranced around in their garden. This garden, was in fact, not a garden. It was a forest but there were no hostile wildlife within it. This was an artificial forest within the Soileward Estate. In one word, the Soileward family was rich.

With that being said, Adam wasn't spoiled due to his mother, Jenny, being strict. To counteract that strictness, his father is the one that tries to spoil Adam. So he grew up as a rowdy child but he was without a friend to play with for the most part.

Grabbing a stick, Adam marched onward deeper into the forest. He was having fun while being topless, a plump kid wearing nothing but soft wool pants as pajamas and flip-flops.

"This is a sword!" He started role-playing with the stick in his hand.

"Die! Weak Monster!" He screamed towards a small animal as he raised his sword(stick).

The animal was frightened but it did not move from its spot. Nay, it couldn't move because it was fearful of Adam. This marten was a youngling and it was an albino one at that. It was abandoned by its mother due to its abnormality so it grew fearful of the world.

As Adam was nearing the animal. He suddenly heard rustling leaves and then.

"Hey! Let the animal go!" Another child from out of nowhere screamed.

"!?" Adam was surprised. And so was the marten, it was even more fearful due to his savior's appearance.

This child had black hair and black eyes in contrast to Adam's hair which was more brown than black. He looked as young as Adam was but he looked ragged and was wearing loincloths instead of clothes.

"Who are you!? Why are you here?" Adam asked the black haired kid in caution. He aimed his sword(stick) towards the loincloth wearing kid.

"I'll tell you. In exchange, let the animal go!" The kid said.

Adam nodded at his statement and put his sword(stick) down. The animal relaxed upon seeing the scary stick being dropped to the ground.

Seeing this, the kid also relaxed his guard and said.

"I'm Brian Wordsworth. I don't know where I am and I don't remember how I got here." He said as he sat down on a flat rock.

Adam thought for a while. He then smirked his lips and kicked dust up into Brian's face to block his vision. While Brian was busy dealing with that dust cloud, Adam picked his sword(stick) up and started beating Brian up.

Brian may have survived in this forest by himself for a year but he was still a child. He lost the advantage in the first moment. Plus, as there were no predators in this forest, he did not develop the skills to fight but only the skills to hunt.

During Adam's exercise of beating Brian up, his blue eyes once again shined. This time with Adam being fully aware. Due to the activation of Adam's eyes, he could see floating information that he didn't know existed before.

In the end, Brian cried and Adam felt bad for him. Seeing their interaction, the marten was confused. Adam went towards the young marten and grabbed it.

The still fearful marten was now extremely scared. It didn't want to be strangled so it closed its eyes in anticipation of pain. But that pain never came. Adam was still listlessly holding the marten while looking at nothing but air.

To Adam, he was looking at the floating words within his vision.

There was no other information aside from this. Oddly enough, Adam was taking this well.

That is because he unlocked 1% of his memory. He is now capable of rational thought unlike the Adam that just beat a kid up just because he could. Seeing the unconscious kid near his feet, he facepalmed.

After deliberating for a few moments. Adam tried to carry the kid but his body was weak.

'A child's body is so weak' Adam lamented at his weakness.

This weakness wasn't an issue when he beat Brian up though. At his pathetic attempt of trying to carry the kid, he held both arms then tried to just drag the kid.

Thirty minutes passed and he soon reached his home. His plump stomach was covered in dirt and his feet were tired.

'I need to grow up fast. My awakening didn't happen naturally.' Adam thought with a tired voice.

'That bastard can't wait up there.'

As he knocked on their back door, he dropped the still unconscious kid on the tiled floor. Soon, he could hear heavy footsteps.

He recognized this footstep. It was when his new mother was angry. Adam winced at this sound and was reluctantly waiting for the door to open.

Once the door opened, the visage of death showed itself in Adam's vision. Adam with his round and smooth head gave a practiced smile unlike that of a child.

"Hi. How are ya?" Adam said as he offered his hand to shake.

His mother, Jenny, was not amused at Adam's shenanigans. It only brought her to boiling point and then as she was about to lash out on Adam, she noticed an unconscious child behind Adam.

"Why are you bringing an unconscious child here?!" Jenny asked.

"And why is he unconscious?!"

"What is that animal you're holding?" She continued her barrage of questions.

Hearing this, Adam went inside with his dirty slippers. He chose to ignore his mother and immediately went to his father.

In the living room, his father was on his knees. His arms were in a t-pose but there were piles of books on each of his hands. Looking closely, there was rock salt beneath his knees. It looked like it hurt.

"Dad. Come help Mom." Adam said as he rushed straight to the bathroom.

================================

Alert! A godly presence is near.

================================

The text warned Adam of a godly existence. Adam looked around but to no avail.

"You're finally awake." A voice rang in Adam's head.

'He noticed!' Adam thought in his head.

'Damned old man, at least let me be old enough to exercise.'

"I was getting bored of waiting." The voice was oddly excited for being bored.

"Let the horns blow." This voice was no longer within Adam's head but it was ringing from the skies.

A certain hobo in the streets of L.A. with a sign saying 'The end is near' had bloodshot eyes. He was ecstatic. For he saw something in the skies.

All around the world, huge flaming angels suddenly appeared. There were seven of them and each one of them had horns. These horns were trumpets of the end and they would each blow these trumpets in order. Each one signifying another cataclysm brewing.

Everyone in the world saw within their vision. A lamb that looked more like a goat with seven horns and seven eyes. This lamb had seven floating books around him that were sealed.

It rammed four of these said books and then these books were unlocked, leaving three of them untouched. Everyone in the world saw the four angels in the sky blow their horns and the ringing sound brought an ominous wind.

The unsealed books brought forth the four horsemen.

The horns brought forward the four six-winged creatures.

The world was coming to an end.
