I stand up from the grass as he walks up to me with a smile on his face. 

"Where have you been? It almost seems like you are avoiding me." He stops in front of me as I grab my bags and book from the floor. My hands are shaking because I am terrified that he is going to hurt me again. 

I don't want to be alone with him. 

Then tell Darrien

My wolf scolds me, even though I already know that this is something I need to tell my mate. Darrien will not like the fact that I have been suspicious all night and didn't mention anything. It is not that I didn't want to tell him anything but I didn't know what to tell him.

"I wasn't avoiding you. I just want to be alone today.''
